US label Lovers Rock Recordings is back with more sophisticated soul sounds from bona fide legends. There is no deep digging involved for the source material here, but that's not to say the results aren't still essential. First up are the beautifully horizontal grooves of 'Hang Onto Your Love (instrumental)' with dancing keys adding a little playfulness up top and syrupy bass melting the heart from below. On the flip is 'No Ordinary Love (instrumental)' which is an even more slow, immersive sound with gloppy bass and drawn out chords all slowing time and softening reality. No brainers for late night lovers.

Sam Bhok releases his debut album, Sloom. Influenced by experimental club sounds as well as the filmic emotion of post-rock and film scores, Sloom resists minimalism in favour of dense, interlocking layers. Euphoric synth textures and fractured drum patterns drive the record, pairing club energy with reflective undercurrents as hardware synths and drum machines are set against caustically digital, hyper-modern sounds.

Known for his behind-the-scenes work with Gilles Peterson, most notably as an integral part of the Worldwide FM team, Sloom represents Sam stepping into focus as a skilled producer of forward thinking electronic music. Written between 2020 and 2025, the record is a statement of identity and a creative shift away from the world of the selector, and towards something more personal and expansive.

Mastered and cut by legendary engineer Beau Thomas on eco-mix marbled vinyl, Sam Bhok draws from analogue and modular synthesis, processed and twisted into restless forms that reflect the unease of the digital age. Sloom is charged with anxieties about technology, capitalism, culture, and climate, delivered both through introspective, IDM-informed tracks and moments of dancefloor catharsis.

Heavy//Hitter are set to release their 2nd EP for Blue Grape Music, Coming to Terms. The EP is produced by Austin Coupe (The Devil Wears Prada, Citizen, Mat Kerekes) and includes features from Zayna Youssef of Sweet Pill and Yasmine Liverneaux of Face Yourself.

Sometimes, the most beautiful stories begin simply between friends, over laughter, late nights and shared music. That’s how the collaboration between Oscar and the Wolf and Roméo Elvis was born. What started as an unexpected jam session after dinner soon evolved into something much greater: a modern-day Romeo and Juliet where two distinct worlds, North and South, pop and rap, light and shadow, meet and merge effortlessly.

Their first collaboration, “Ceiling”, captures that magic: the perfect balance between intimacy and grandeur, where contrast becomes harmony. Premiered live before 100,000 people during Belgium’s National Day celebrations, the single immediately resonated, becoming a radio hit and surpassing one million streams within weeks.

Now, the duo present JARDIN, an eight-track EP arriving this December. Tina Records presents the apocalyptic visions of Nokuit. Constructing a hellish diorama across six tracks of industrial electronics, Gates of Horn and Ivory uses biblical allegory to map out our current End Times. With sleeve notes by Andy Sharp a.k.a The English Heretic.

Eurosleaze film composer by day, Nokuit has developed a distinctive cosmology over a mutating series of releases on underground labels including wannamarchi club and NKT. Alongside Cut Hands (William Bennett of Whitehouse), he remixed Roberto Musci on the inaugural Tina Records release, as well as having been remixed himself by schuttle, Kinn and Sonae. He has performed internationally, including at Cafe OTO alongside Mun Sing as part of a lineup curated by Flora Yin-Wong and has received radio support from Ad93's Nik Tasker and Ana Quiroga of Editions Mego's LCC, amongst others.

English Heretic is an autonomous creative research project helmed by writer, occultist and multimedia artist, Andy Sharp. Having released over a dozen albums and booklets since it's inception in 2003, the project culminated with the publication of The English Heretic Collection in 2020 by Repeater Books. Friend and collaborator of the late Mark Fischer, Andy has talked at academic conferences and counter-cultural events on a wide range of subjects drawn from his research.

This is the second release from Tina Records, following Cargo Cult by Roberto Musci. Featuring remixes from Cut Hands and Nokuit, that record received airplay from the likes of Surgeon and Not Waving on stations such as NTS, Noods, Resonance and Intergalactic FM. It was also named one of the best releases of 2024 by Bleep. Tina Records is based in London and Rome.

Izil Recordings returns with its second statement of intent, bridging continents and sounds with Moroccan visionary Mr. ID at the controls. The IDK EP unfolds as a ritual of rhythm, hypnotic, tribal, and deeply human - where North African heritage meets the pulse of the modern club. The original track, “IDK,” is a driving blend of raw percussion, ancient chants, and forward-thinking groove design. It’s music that feels both ancestral and futuristic, a sonic journey through heat, dust, and night. Remix duties come from Floyd Lavine, who injects his signature Afro-tech elegance, expanding the horizon with rolling basslines and fluid tension. Amine K and Dilby then reimagine IDK for late-night dancefloors, weaving melody and groove into a transcendent neo-trance narrative.

Mikhail Pletnev veröffentlicht sein erstes Studioalbum bei Deutsche Grammophon seit 2005.
Die künstlerische Vielseitigkeit des Pianisten, Dirigenten und Komponisten spiegelt sich in der besonderen
Ausdruckskraft seiner Interpretationen zweier bedeutender Präludien-Zyklen wider: Chopins 24 Préludes
op. 28 und Skrjabins 24 Préludes op. 11. Mit unnachahmlicher Klanggestaltung fängt der legendäre russische Künstler den Charakter jeder einzelnen Miniatur ein.
Das Album war als Konzertaufnahme geplant und wurde dann doch zu einer Studioaufnahme. Ein Glücksfall für alle Hörenden, denn, was bei der Studioaufnahme entstand, in einer einzigen, viereinhalbstündigen
Sitzung, kann nur als pure Magie bezeichnet werden. Eingespielt hat Pletnev das Album an seinem
bevorzugten Instrument, einem Shigeru-Kawai-Flügel.
Die Vinyleinspielung ist noch in zweiter Hinsicht eine echte Sensation: Sie ist die erste rein analoge DGNeuproduktion seit den Achtzigerjahren! Mit speziell angefertigten Sennheiser-Mikrofonen und einer Studer
C37-Röhrenbandmaschine wurde Pletnevs Aufnahme festgehalten und anschließend mit klassischen Schnittund Klebetechniken minimal bearbeitet. Das Ergebnis ist der unverfälschte Klang in seiner vollen, warmen
Musikalität, die dem Original Leben und Tiefe verleiht.
Für die hochauflösende Digitalaufnahme für die CD-Version kam ein Elf-Kanal-Mikrofonaufbau zum Einsatz, welche die feinsten Nuancen und Details authentisch zur Geltung bringt.

Eine Ausstellung zu Ehren seines Freundes, des Malers Victor Hartmann, inspirierte Mussorgsky 1874 zu
seinem Klavierzyklus. Eine Art „Ich-Erzähler“ wandert durch eine Galerie und betrachtet zehn Gemälde.
Ravel hat den Zyklus 1922 für Orchester arrangiert. Die Aufführung von Giulini gilt weithin als Referenzaufnahme.

In a high-ceilinged room, a grand piano plays lush melodies as, meanwhile, somewhere, an Alice In Wonderland clock ticks, cellos are bowed, a swarm of something vibrates and the hallucinatory crowd around Rosemary’s Baby babble. An echoey electronic hum builds and falls like a 50s refrigerator passed through and effects board, things run backwards, staccato strings are plucked… and that’s not the half of it. “I’ve never been happy staying in one particular school of musical thought. The fun has been turning things on their heads, to try something you were not supposed to do.” We’re on an immersive and adventurous travelogue with the former member of the legendary Tangerine Dream, Paul Haslinger - this is a man who knows how to build tension, hold moods, illustrate contempt, lies, passion and pleasure; He can create fear, loathing and love - he’s been unlocking the nuances of such emotions in a hugely successful career as a TV and film soundtrack composer (Halt And Catch Fire, Underworld and the Golden Globe-nominated Sleeper Cell). ‘Exit Ghost’ is his long thought out opus, a moment caught in time, flicking through reference points, taking an ethereal excursion that permeates musical genres as it becomes awash with intricate sounds and cross-pollinating rhythms. A love letter to the deep history of the dancefloor, the three-tracker begins with 'Scouse Kiss', where Chicago meets Liverpool as Discothèque Credits reimagine a hidden Lil’ Louis-inspired pop mix into the 12” club dub that never was. 'Dirty Talk' follows, transforming an Italo classic, often cited as the blueprint for New Order’s Blue Monday - into a stripped-back proto-house workout from Machine Disco, dripping with machine funk and looped 808 programming. Finally, 'Burnt' burns bright with acid-soaked sharpness – a hypnotic groove built for the deeper hours of the night.

Lettuce serves up a full-course groove experience with Cook, a 16-track feast of classic funk, rich instrumentation, and deep- pocket rhythm. The album features 12 full-length tracks, including two vocal cuts, with a standout cover of Keni Burke’s “Rising to the Top” leading the charge at radio. More than just a record, Cook is a multisensory experience: the vinyl includes a recipe book of original dishes crafted by the band, each paired with a song and one of their two new wines launched alongside the album. Master edit man Delfonic is back with more reworked gold from his favourites folder. He kicks off with the funky horns and disco lushness of 'Up & Down', then 'JaJaJa' slows things down and layers in some chunky drums to a cosmically-minded workout. 'Unity Together' is a percussive jumble with funky hooks and grooves that are always on the move and bubbling beneath the smooth vocals. Last but not least is 'Feeling It', which we really love. This one has a buttery male vocal adding weight to buoyant and instrumental disco grooves that dazzle with bright melodies and life-giving strings. A wonderfully uplifting EP.

Oslo based house pushers ́badabing diskos ́ follow up their hyped first release with a four tracker covering a fine specter of modern house vibes. A solo jacking house trip from label honcho Vinny Villbass, followed up by mexican/norwegian percussive collaboration of Picotropico and Vinny give you a full summer club journey The secret alias Smalltownboy ejaculates an eminent homage to sweaty dance floor flirts, while house orchestra LAFT shows off club muscles with a minimal studio escapade.

Siècle, the fourth album by Superpoze (Gabriel Legeleux, born in 1992), stands as the culmination of what the composer of Opening, For We the Living, and Nova Cardinale, also a producer and performer, has been meticulously crafting for the past ten years, with both precision and sensitivity.

Im Juli 1955 reiste der damals 19-jährige Luciano Pavarotti zusammen mit seinem Vater und einem Chor aus
Modena nach Wales, um am Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod teilzunehmen. Dort gewannen sie
den Wettbewerb der Männerstimmen mit großem Abstand. Dieser besondere Moment inspirierte Pavarotti,
professioneller Sänger zu werden. 40 Jahre später, im Jahr 1995, kehrte er zurück, um während der
Eisteddfod-Woche ein besonderes Konzert im Pavillon zu geben. Diese Aufnahme dokumentiert das bisher
unveröffentlichte, historische Konzert. Zu der versammelten Menge im Pavillon sagte Pavarotti: „40 Jahre,
mein Gott, es fühlt sich an, als wäre es gestern gewesen. Ich habe so viele Dinge getan. Wenn Journalisten
mich fragen, welcher Tag in meinem Leben besonders war, dann sage ich, es war der Tag, an dem ich
diesen Wettbewerb gewann, weil ich mit all meinen Freunden zusammen war.“
Die Sammlung präsentiert ein Programm voller Arien aus Cavalleria rusticana, Il trovatore und Macbeth
sowie bekannte neapolitanische Lieder. Sie enthält außerdem zwei Tracks aus dem Jahr 1955, die als die
ältesten Aufnahmen von Luciano Pavarotti gelten. Das beiliegende, 100 Seiten starke Buch bietet einen
lesenswerten Essay von Maestro Mark Wilkinson über dieses historische Konzert sowie seltene historische

Der lettische Pianist Georgijs Osokins widmet sein Debütalbum bei der Deutschen Grammophon dem estnischen Komponisten Arvo Pärt. „For Arvo” ist eine Hommage an die baltische Klavierkultur und die
zeitlose Musik des Komponisten anlässlich dessen 90. Geburtstags am 11. September 2025.
Neben Originalwerken für Klavier enthält das Album Osokins eigene Transkriptionen zentraler Pärt-Kompositionen

God Given Ass is a five piece punk rock band from Helsinki, Finland, formed in 2008. The band members’ former outfits include 90’s Finnish rock band Tehosekoitin (a.k.a. The Screamin’ Stukas), legendary drunk punks Maho Neitsyt and horror-garage-punksters The Patsy Walkers. As connoisseurs will have noticed, the band name derives from a line in a certain David Bowie song, and true to that, their influences range wide – from classic punk rock sneer to 60’s-influenced melodies to glitter stomp and back. Despite God Given Ass having been around for some time, this eponymous record is their debut album. Having released four 7-inchers early in their career (and two cassettes to boot), they went on a hiatus a couple of years back, only returning to the touring cycle in 2024. Despite the near glacial release pace, the album itself is not slow: it’s a 28 minute and 12 track ride through the at times fun & at others dreary landscapes of eastern downtown Helsinki by night.

Going Up, originally released in 1983, is one of the most curious and enduring records from British studio mavericks The RAH Band. Long out of print, it now sees its first ever vinyl reissue courtesy of Shocking Music and Rush Hour.

Led by super-producer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist Richard Anthony Hewson, The RAH Band has always existed just outside the mainstream. Blending jazz-funk, sci-fi synth pop, and cosmic lounge, their sound never quite fit the mould. That might explain the cult status they’ve held ever since. Beloved by Balearic heads, rare groove collectors, and adventurous synth diggers, Going Up is perhaps their most influential record.

At the centre of it all is the intro track “Messages From The Stars”, the band’s runaway cosmic hit. A spacey, retro-futurist groove that has become a viral favourite in recent years, it now boasts hundreds of millions of streams, with a new generation discovering it through TikTok and YouTube. But it was originally just one track on this understated 1983 album.

The rest of Going Up is just as compelling, filled with dusty drum machines, off-kilter instrumentals, woozy vocals, and that unmistakable early '80s charm. It is a snapshot of a band in transition, blurring the lines between leftfield pop, sci-fi funk, and home-brewed synth experiments.

Allowing his musical film influences to fully express themselves by incorporating them into his music, 'Orchestra' combines the grandiose feeling of album opener 'Nikki' with the melodic rhythms of 'By The Brook', and wistful yet percussive tones of tracks like 'Detached Motion.' Packed with cinematic elements throughout, Worakls explains his creative process, stating:

'Along the years, I have become more sensible to the emotions of film music, and I wanted to lead my universe into that direction. My aim is to mix in the emotions of this music with the freedom and energy of electronic music.'

With the original music composed to be specifically played with an orchestra, the album is accompanied by a tour of the most prestigious venues in Europe where Worakls will be accompanied by an orchestra formed of 20 musicians. Having recently kickstarted the schedule in Paris, the tour will take in a further 9 sold-out dates across France and Belgium throughout February, March, and April.

Spending the last ten years travelling the globe's most prestigious concert halls and festivals, Worakls' journey into composition started at the age of 3, learning the piano amidst his family of musicians. Rotterdam's Bright Message Records' second release is the highly anticipated 12-inch vinyl "KING INNA THE RING," produced by Imperial Sound Army. The title refers to the powerful vocal version, sung by UK-based King Stanley, which immediately creates the impression of a true anthem and a strong tribute to Jah Rastafari. The vocal version is paired with a dub cut that strongly emphasizes this element of praise. The way this dub connects the A-side and B-side of the record, reveals both Dan-I's years of experience as a soundsystem selector and excellent production skills.

The B-side contains the fantastic melody version "TROMBONE INNA THE RING." Following up on a cracker split single in 2023, Overload Liverpool enterted into 2024 firing on all cylinders with a 5 shooter of freaked-out electro, warm house, deep dub cuts, and gorgeous ambient.

Firstly, Liverpool-based label boss Morrison highlights two of his distinct and dissociative styles. On the front end of the A-side, his The Motorist alias provides us with a freaked-out formant-filtered electro that’s bursting at the lips. On the back end, a deep yet bright house cut from his The Cyclist alias, with warm warbling synths layered over his Wurlitzer electric piano and suitably grooved and jaunty beats.

To kick off the deeper B-side of the 12”, Wax Tek, a founder of the Liverpool Soundsystem crew Polyone Audio, hits us right in the chest with his dubbed-out breakbeat wonder, Get Set, which diverges through Balearic, bass music, a delirious breakdown, and hard-hitting breakbeats.

Deeper still, the second B-side from Puncta, another Liverpool-based artist, who last year came to light with their release on Sputnik One’s N-Face, dives into the deep Arctic seas with Snow Crab, an exercise in dubbed-out electro-style bass music.

Finally, Belfast-based Aaron Thomas brings the 12” EP to a fitting closure with Concert², which, washing over the listener, dances like opulent drapes with its ethereal synths that crash to and fro.

Following his acclaimed debut on 180 GR Records, N-Zino returns with Music & Territory (Part 2). This new EP explores the dialogue between deep house textures and Afro-rooted rhythms across three original tracks, each crafted with his trademark sense of groove and atmosphere. The result was the creation of the LP Memories Of Cindy, where my goal was to reveal more about Carmel Vista, the town Cindy lived in. Afterwards, I imagined Cindy having her own 'lost' album, as if she had once released a record that was kind of forgotten.' I'm Cindy is altogether different though. It sits at an uncommonly explored intersection between Italo disco and shoegaze - Cocteau Twins and Slowdive are mentioned as influences and you can hear that in the blurred textures and hazy synths of the 13 tracks here. But Hugo also revels in a chance to use his self-created character as a conduit to explore his love of both mainstream pop and its more skewed forms. In many ways the record is as much LoL?n's. It was she who gave the character her voice - initially across 27 tracks recorded with the producer - but her own connection to Cindy runs deeper than that. 'It makes me really nostalgic thinking about everything Cindy went through, she and I have similar feelings' says the vocalist. If anyone in the reggae circles could be described as having their own sound it would have to be Mr Augustus Pablo, born Horace Swaby 1954 St Andrew Jamaica. He took the humble melodica a wind blown mouth keyboard and made it shine.

His musical journey started one sunny day in 1969. Walking into Herman Chin- loy's Aquarius Records shop and on playing his melodica so impressed its owner that he was taken off to Randy's Studio 17, the very next day to cut his first record 'Iggy Iggy'. But it was his second tune under the guidance of Clive Chin again cut at Randy's, the seminal 'Java ' that put the young Augustus Pablo on the map. Clive Chin continued his work producing Pablo's debut album 'THIS IS AUGUSTUS PABLO' . An instrumental affair on which the neo-mystical ''Far East'' sound synonymous with Pablo's work emerged.

Having worked with most of the top producers of the time,Lee Perry,Keith Hudson, Bunny Lee, Augustus decided to set up his own label "Rockers", named after his brothers sound system. Where many of his tunes would first be heard.The label came to define a new and exciting chapter in reggae history.Even when versioning acknowledged classic Studio One rhythms there was a precious maturity and depth to Pablo's productions that kept him at the top throughout the late 1970s and into the 1980s. His 'King Tubby meets the Rockers Uptown' set which featured some of these rhythms reworked; Swing EasySkanking Easy, Frozen SoulFrozen Dub, stands as one of the true dub classic albums of any reggae education.

This set of dubs are taken from his classic 70's period.All rare dubs straight from the masters. You may have heard the tune, but not these versions. So sit back and enjoy the Original Rocker..... STILL SOUNDS SWEET.

We're proud to announce the upcoming second vinyl release from Black Teeth Records, and it's a serious one - courtesy of none other than ARtroniks, a Ghent-based producer who's been crafting heavyweight dub-infused pressure since the late nillies. No small name in the game - his work has long resonated in the deeper corners of the bass music world. This new four-tracker is a bold evolution of his sound: a stripped-down, technoid dubstep blend steeped in cyberpunk atmospheres, engineered for proper sound system deployment.

Transit - hauntingly dystopian and beautifully cinematic. A perfect intro, interlude, or ender. Backlash - pure weaponry: sharp, relentless, and built for dancefloor impact. L121 - deconstructed minimalism that cuts deep; skeletal but heavy. Vitamin - hypnotic low-end movement with tight percussive tension.

Zak Starkey had a concept. He ran it by Shaun Ryder (Happy Mondays); a super group based around Shaun's beat poetry and the sprawling peacock universe of Andy Bell's (Ride/Oasis) other-worldly guitar-scapes and the mind-bending, time-stretching, hypnotic insurrection of Bez's (Happy Mondays) maracas. Add to this one fifth dimension Noel Gallagher (Oasis/High Flying Birds), and Domino Bones full version became deeply etched into the gravity-laden grooves of this loudest of transparent top tunes. Travellers in the cosmos or indeed the third moon of the second seven solstices on a realisation it is, and was our, home. Special edition transparent vinyl 7" single.

Next up on NINE CHANNEL is DJ legend JOSEY WALES. Throwing down what he does best over a wicked stripped-down rhythm – TIME & TIME AGAIN calls for Love and unity and time to love each other no matter what race colour or greed – proper colonel chanting style. Flip to the B side for a killer DUB – check it.

Two sides, two heatwaves pulled from the depths of Afro-diasporic analogue archives and reborn for contemporary dancefloors.

On the A-side, “Chiacchiere di Lavoro” is a razor-sharp re-edit of a Nigerian track, that is just like its new producers: obscure and way ahead of their time. The B-side dives into the Antilles: "Taxi Safari" is a rare tropical gem, reworked with finesse by editing maestros Lance and Disco Strummer.

But what is La Sirenetta?
La Sirenetta – “The Mermaid” in Italian – is a name that evokes memories of a Riviera discotheque, the faded glamour of a beach club, or a fried fish shack glowing in the sunset.

In fact, this La Sirenetta is a sub-label of Maledetta Discoteca Records, dedicated to digging, selecting, and editing analogue World Black Music bangers from the ’80s and giving them a second life.
