Dans Dans is back (already), with their most unfiltered, most spantenous, most 'punk' album to date. Three musicians, three days in the studio, one burst of energy.

April 23th, 2021. Breaking a five year silence, purveyors in ambiguous jazz-rock hybrids Dans Dans drop a new, fifth album. Throughout the media, Zink is hailed as another triumph for the Antwerp based trio. 'A bold and thrilling noise trip', according to Humo. 'The best live band of the Western hemisphere is back', celebrated OOR, while De Morgen hailed the 'organic but cleverly constructed jams'. The following summer, the band made the best of a temporary easing of local Covid restrictions, and played some rapturous shows, such as during Jazz Middelheim in their hometown and an Unday Records label night during the Boomtown festival in Ghent. A string of dates in Eastern Europe followed, but, alas, the remainder of a national and international tour in autumn was cancelled. Third wave, fourth wave, who was still counting?

At the tail end of 2021, Bert Dockx, Frederic Lyenn Jacques, and Steven Cassiers, the unholy trinity that make up Dans Dans since 2012 - yep, that's a ten year anniversary! - decided to turn setbacks into sound blasts, grief into grooves. Rehearsals were planned. New music was made. And before you know, a studio was booked. This is how an instrumental corona-album happened. Not one of contemplation through isolation or new found domestic bliss, not your usual, subdued track record of socially distant, monotonous times. '6' might be a reaction to all of that, but it's definitely more than that.

Tresor Records are proud to reveal the outcome of a new collaboration between two of techno music's most remarkable artists, Maedon and Adam X. The Lion & The Ram is a unique and exciting hybrid of industrial, rave, and hypnotic techno sounds. This LP marks the full debut for both artists on Tresor Records, with Adam X having appeared for a remix of Neil Landstrumm in 1997. Both Berlin-based, Maedon and Adam X have worked tirelessly over the forced Lockdowns, finding a kindred spirit in locating and sculpting the most badass kick. This album is undoubtedly an impressive representation of the range of kick drum synthesis, from thunderous impacts to carefully tuned pulses.
The duo's competitiveness over kick drums has led to a masterpiece of mesmerising techno. Across the thumping drums and sparse, mechanical soundscapes,
every track on the album follows a journey into the dark and unknown.
Tracks grow with increasing power sourced from dystopian samples, such as Human Replacements, "people are being duplicated, there is something missing". It reflects the stifled time we all spent, haunted by uncertainty, cooped up and seeking expression. Corrupt Pigs emphasises this with the refrain, "welcome to the land of fuck". Crunching bass and rusty percussions gather as a herd, like a rallying call to signify that, at last, we may let loose. With its unrepentant rhythms and ruthlessly brutal sound design, The Lion & The Ram discharges Maedon and Adam X into daring new terrain.

A collection of powerful songs from across the Trojan catalogue, calling for unity and solidarity.

Trojan Records played a pivotal role in bringing Jamaican music to the UK and Europe; not only did it provide comfort and a sense of home for the Caribbean community living in the UK, but it also became an outlet for many thousands of white, working class youths, drawn to the exciting new sounds of reggae. This in turn created a new youth subculture within the UK.

Trojan became more than a music label, it also brought people together through culture, style and fashion. For the first time, people of all races and creeds would unite in the dancehalls, and friendships blossomed because people shared a common love for one thing - the music.

This collection of songs communicates an intergenerational, international story that, on the one hand, elucidates the black experience; on the other, repeats the call for us all to come together in unity.

Following the highly acclaimed album Dream Violence
(2021) and the recent LP re-issue of his modern underground
classic Gravity/ Repulsion, Michael Beach has announced
a new self-titled 12-inch EP, to be released via Goner and
Poison City Records.
Recorded during the winter of 2021, the new record is
made up of both 8-track tape and full studio recordings,
interspersed with experimental, moody interludes, and
features Beach’s Australian bandmates Bonnie Mercer
(guitar), Peter Warden (drums) and Carla Oliver (bass)
throughout. The EP’s stunning closer “Only A Memory”
is a collaboration with Lloyd Swanton of renowned
Australian minimalist trio The Necks, recorded in NSW’s
Blue Mountains.
“Out In A Burning Alley,” the EP’s lead single, combines
Beach’s soulful abstracted lyrics over two minutes and fifty
eight seconds of blazing garage-rock, where the sounds
of the Melbourne and Oakland / Bay Area underground
collide.
In support of the upcoming EP and recent Dream
Violence album, Beach will be returning to tour the US in
September/ October, headlining dates on the East and West
coast and performing at the iconic Gonerfest in Memphis,
TN. The touring outfit will also feature Beach’s long time
collaborator Utrillo Kushner (Comets On Fire / Personal
and The Pizzas) on drums.

-Long-awaited fourth solo effort by one of today's most talented Brazilian artists and the follow up to the now classic Early Bird album.
-Entirely written and recorded at the Ilha Do Corvo studio in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
-180g heavy vinyl pressing, reverse board print, comes with lyrics and their English translation.

"I imagine this record to be just like a flea market, an ensemble of nostalgia, a collage of memories, of dreams, ideas, sounds, words, feelings, places, eras and styles. A unique sonic sound space that I've been trying to create for my own music. This is also a record about getting old, about the uneasiness of life, but also about how to embrace it and enjoy the ride. About taking a trip to a place and a time that we have never been to, but that we long for. " - Leonardo Marques

A multi-talented musician, singer songwriter and record producer full of tales to tell, Leonardo Marques has released three solo records – Dia e Noite no Mesmo Céu in 2012, Curvas, Lados, Linhas Tortas, Sujas e Discretas in 2015, and Early Bird in 2018. All of Leonardo's solo albums have been released in Japan by Disk Union and the latest one, Early Bird, has also been released worldwide on vinyl format by 180g x Disk Union.

Leonardo was the guitar player of Diesel (later called Udora), one of the main alternative rock bands in Brazil in the early 2000's. The band was on the main line up of the Rock in Rio III Festival, playing for over 250,000 people as an opening act for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Silverchair, and Deftones. Leonardo then moved to Los Angeles with the band and signed a record deal with Clive Davis (J Records / RCA) and worked with Matt Wallace (Maroon 5, Faith No More), Gavin Macklop (Goo Goo Dolls, Toad the Wet Sprocket), Camus (David Byrne, Arto Lindsay), Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Tracy Chapman, Alice Cooper), and 16-time Grammy Award winner Thom Russo (Michael Jackson, Audioslave, Johnny Cash, Maná).

Back to Brazil a few years later, Leonardo launched his Ilha do Corvo recording studio in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The studio is equipped with vintage instruments and gear from various decades which creates a unique sonic landscape and sound signature in each record it produces.

With Flea Market Music, Leonardo Marques presents his long-awaited fourth solo effort and the follow up to the now classic Early Bird album, with a majestic and unique musical trip into nostalgia, dreamy textures and lo-fi flavors, entirely written and recorded at his Ilha Do Corvo studio. This is essential Brazilian contemporary music at its best!

Forthcoming on Subbase Progression is the all new SUBPLATES Vol 6 EP. The iconic series of releases from the first wave of SubBase now sees a brand new 4 track EP dropping soon as a stunning picture disc.

Way back in 1993, Suburban Base Records launched the Sub Plates series, a homage to the dubplate culture of early jungle music, it was even released in the 10” vinyl format to reflect the acetate plates DJ’s were playing.

New Orleans-based singer-songwriter Julie Odell announces her new album Autumn Eve, out September 30th via tastemaker label Frenchkiss Records (Local Natives, Passion Pit, The Drums). Lead single Cardinal Feather is a quicksilver ripper, with both a graceful, silky patience and fiery rock motor. The accompanying video finds Odell lakeside in swampy Louisiana, shot from sunrise to dusk in the lush environment under swarms of mosquitoes. “We found the beauty in the chaos, much like finding peace beyond anxiety and depression.” says Odell.

This is a remastered reissue of Jesse Malin’s third album, Glitter in the Gutter, originally released in 2007 on Green Day’s Adeline Records. The album has been unavailable for years, and has never appeared digitally until now. The album features Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, Jakob Dylan, and more on various tracks. Obscure congregation SPECTRUM MORTIS was formed in somber MMXV and under the sign of Baal. The gates of hell were opened to emerge their malevolent entrails to the black spell of death and destruction. Among the shadows arise Aataa and Aath to celebrate a black mass and closed with the arrival of Sheram and Ta’ao. These four reptiles complete to the perfect black circle for the enhancement to the necrosophia and the arts of the occult sciences.?The band released two mini albums : "Blasphemare Nomen Eius" in 2016 and "??????" in 2018 and a split album with Mexico's Hacavitz. SPECTRUM MORTIS played many live ceremonies as an authentic celebration of the fall of light and the cult of black fire under the sign of Baal. After signing with Listenable records, SPECTRUM MORTIS focused on the writing of their debut full-length album, immersed in ancient worlds between infinite passages buried in the sands of time, going back to the Sumerian saga of Apkallus and Ziggurats. Under that primordial influence, the band entered The Empty Hall studios in Madrid in 2021 and recorded “BitMeseri - The Incantation” scheduled for a September 2022 release. The band elaborates about 'Bit Meseri -The Incantation‘ : "We wanted to recover the essence of both mini albums and translate them into an authentic black celebration to continue enhancing the obscure arts and dimensions that we have managed to create with these works. This congregation will continue to write cold riffs of death under the path of ancestral rites and traditions, always low extreme care and obscure dedication. " SPECTRUM MORTIS transcends the listener with its inspired ceremonial occult death metal and their ‘Bit Meseri - The Incantation’ deeply masters that genre with great atmosphere and conviction. For fan of early MORBID ANGEL, IMMOLATION, NECROS CHRISTOS, DEAD CONGREGATION

When Lannie Flowers set out to write and record his follow up to acclaimed 2010 album Circles, he had no idea how long the journey would take him. Circles was the second installment of an arc that began with the Pengwins frontman’s solo debut Same Old Story (2008) and would be finished with the new record, Home. The idea was that the three records would loosely trace his life from teenage romance though the rock and roll travel years and ultimately address getting off the road. Home was lovingly recorded and mixed and took longer than his fans wanted. Upon release, Home garnered enthusiastic critical reception and made numerous Top Ten Album of lists of 2019.

Lana del Rey, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ellie Goulding, Foster The People, Phoenix, Imagine Dragons, Two Door Cinema Club und The Shins enstanden.
