This unique and unconventional set combines a 7“ single with two yet unreleased songs by NON BAND and a photo magazine, both of which provide essential evidence of the tsunami-like tidal wave of the Japanese post punk movement.

The two featured songs VIBRATION ARMY and SILENCE-HIGH-SPEED perfectly capture the charismatic formative years of NON BAND, with their sound emerging as an entirely unique mix of driving punk veering from No Wave and Folk into raw post punk mutations.
Both songs were committed to tape in 1981 at the legendary facilities of Mod Studio, Tokyo, by engineer Yasushi Konichi when the band recorded their eponymous debut album which was issued via Tokyo‘s Telegraph Records back in 1982. Although both songs were miraculously omitted from the final album. Like all of Non Band recordings they have withstood the test of time thanks to their mix of direct, experimental yet disciplined rawness and studio magick.

The magazine features a text and a careful selection of photos from the vast archives of photographer Yuichi Jibiki, who was also the man behind the label Telegraph Records. Since 1978 Yuichi Jibiki was intimately involved with the early Japanese punk scene as their photographer, manager and organizer. He could be found very much in the midst of all NON BAND live shows between 79-82 as well as pulling the strings behind the scenes.

After the reissue edition of NON BAND‘s debut album via Stefan Schneider‘ TAL imprint in 2017 the label is excited to be able to offer another key release showcasing the creative peak of Japanese Post Punk.

Flavien had just finished producing Pomme’s last album and was simultaneously scoring Céline Devaux’s feature film Tout le monde aime Jeanne, when he recorded this album, during six months of isolation.
In the garret of a Belgian house in construction, these 12 tracks were born, close to the sky, both direct and mysterious.
Because Flavien Berger knows how to make machines sound sensual (a key example is the pop song “D’ici là”) and dares to interweave electronics, chanson and art music, organic instruments and synthetic choirs, without ever falling into parodic territory.
Because his voice, more precise, unreverbed, and close-mic’d than ever, sings to our ears – using multisyllabic rhymes (“Trop ivres pour te plaire / Tropiques du cancer”) and surrealist imagery (“la neige restera rose” – “the snow will remain pink”) – stories that feel unknown yet obvious.
And like both previous albums ended with a long eponymous track like a breath of air, “Leviathan” and “Contre-temps”, so does “Dans Cent Ans”, a 15-minute long saga where vocals, wind instruments and machines converse, as if Debussy, Etienne Daho and a Sufi Dervish met in a dream.
After listening to this album, the vertigo of love and the collision of times are one and the same.
In one hundred years, music will survive us all, and its dangerous beauty will awaken other lives. In the meantime, Flavien Berger keeps stunning ours.

Das Duo Dylan Brady und Laura Les , bekannt als 100 gecs , gibt bekannt, dass das mit Spannung erwartete zweite Album der Band, 10,000 gecs , am 17. März 2023 erscheinen wird.

Zusammen mit dieser Ankündigung veröffentlichten 100 gecs auch eine Überraschungs-EP mit dem Namen Snake Eyes . Die EP enthält drei unveröffentlichte Tracks darunter "Torture Me" mit Skrillex und "Hey Big Man" , das als Opener auf ihrer letzten Tournee ein
Publikumsliebling war.

10.000 Gecs kann auf Vinyl, CD, iTunes und als digitaler Pre-Save vorbestellt werden.
Nach ihrem bahnbrechenden Debütalbum 1.000 gecs war die Vorfreude auf das nächste Werk der Band groß. In einer aufschlussreichen Pitchfork Cover Story aus dem Jahr 2021 zeigten sie den frühen Entstehungsprozess von 10,000 gecs, in dem das Duo
ihre Fans zum ersten Mal mit sich ins Studio nahm.

ALL TIME LOW KÜNDIGEN NEUES ALBUM "TELL ME I'M ALIVE" FÜR 17. MÄRZ AN

All Time Low haben ein neues Album angekündigt. Die Multiplatin-Band wird am 17. März " Tell Me I'm Alive" veröffentlichen.
Ziemlich genau drei Jahre nach dem letzten Album "Wake Up, Sunshine" kann man sich damit auf neues Material der Pop-Punker aus dem US-Bundesstaat Maryland freuen.

Das neue Album kann ab sofort vorbestellt werden. Für ihre deutschen Fans hat sich die Band eine besondere Aktion ausgedacht: Die ersten 100 Teilnehmenden, die das Album bei ihrem Streaminganbieter vormerken, bekommen zum Valentinstag eine Überraschung von der Band zugeschickt, außerdem kann man 2x1 handsigniertes Bandfoto auf Acryl gewinnen.

Die 1980 in Oldham gegründete Band, Inspiral Carpets, erlangte Ende der 80er/Anfang der 90er Jahre als Teil der Madchester-Szene neben Bands wie The Stone Roses, The Charlatans und The Happy Mondays große Bekanntheit.

Sie haben fünf Studioalben veröffentlicht:
"Life" (1990), "The Beast Inside" (1991), "Revenge of the Goldfish" (1992), "Devil Hopping" (1994) und "Inspiral Carpets" (2014), mit denen sie vier UK Top 20 Alben und UK Top 20 Singles erreichten. Zu ihren erfolgreichsten Singles gehören "This Is How It Feels", "She Comes In The Fall", "Saturn 5", "I Want You" und "Dragging Me
Down".

Zum ersten Mal seit ihrer 2003er Compilation "Cool As" erscheint jetzt eine neue Singles-Kollektion: "The Complete Singles" enthält alle ihre größten Hits, sowie Kollaborationen mit Mark E. Smith & John Cooper Clarke.

Singing to Strangers ist das sechste Studioalbum des englischen Singer-Songwriters Jack Savoretti, das am 15. März 2019 über BMG veröffentlicht wurde und erscheint jetzt als limitierte Special Edition.

Ego Tripping at the Gates of Hell enthält 7 Tracks aus der "Yoshimi"-Ära, die auf dem 6 CD Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots 20th Anniversary Box Set enthalten waren, das im November 2022 veröffentlicht wurde.

"Fight Test" war die dritte Singleauskopplung aus dem
äußerst populären und erfolgreichen Album Yoshimi
Battles the Pink Robots von The Flaming Lips. Die im
Juni 2003 veröffentlichte Single stieg in die US Billboard
Top 100 ein und erreichte Platz 28 in den britischen
Single-Charts. Die 7-Track-EP war Teil des
6-CD-Box-Sets Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots 20th
Anniversary, das im November 2022 veröffentlicht wurde,
und wird nun zum ersten Mal auf Vinyl veröffentlicht.
Neben dem Titeltrack enthält sie einen Remix von "Do
You Realize?", "Thank You Jack White" und drei

Hit-writing anti-icons, Das Koolies emerge to explode three decades of digression as Super Furry Animals with their electronic depth-charge debut EP: The Condemned. Huw Bunford, Cian Ciarán, Dafydd Ieuan and Guto Pryce restore original Furry vision with techno-inspired, heavy-tech sound inspired by illegal rave roots.

A past fades out for a future to begin as the long-running, secretive DAS KOOLIES ‘dream project’’, emanating from Cardiff’s post-industrial docklands, delivers its first consignment of complex, wired euphoria: The Condemned. Chains of decayed connection and shackles of genre-expectation are audibly broken as Huw Bunford, Cian Ciarán, Dafydd Ieuan and Guto Pryce re-route their paths as notorious scientists of sound, taking the outside lane to arrive close to where it all began for Super Furry Animals.

Soldering human touch to synths and samplers, Das Koolies come through on their manifesto pledge of incinerating acoustic guitars while unsafely loading as much noise- making machinery onto their studio mains supply as possible. The Condemned, a confrontational, synth-driven outsider anti-anthem comes through as a warm-blood-on-cold- steel rope act of strict automation and humanity, commanding computers and code to find compromise with Ieuan and Bunford’s vocals.

The roots of JuJu started in San Francisco after Plunky had met his musical mentor, Zulu musician Ndikho Xaba, helping to form his band Ndikho and The Natives. Three members of The Natives (Plunky, bassist Ken Shabala and vibes / flute player Lon Moshe) then joined Marvin X’s theatrical production The Resurrection Of The Dead, joining local musicians Al-Hammel Rasul (keyboards), Babatunde Lea (percussion) and Jalango Ngoma (timbales).

When the production ended, the six musicians formed Juju. “We had high-energy rehearsals that lasted for hours and, as a band, we became powerful and began gigging around the Bay Area,” remembers Plunky. Although orientated towards Black Nationalism, the

band fed off the Bay Area’s culturally diverse communities as Plunky shaped an inclusive worldview based on collective political, social and artistic activities. During this time, the Soledad Brothers case and Angela Davis were prominent and the band supported Professor Davis and the cause. Juju’s music matched the fire of their activism. “As a band, we blew, pounded and stroked our instruments like there was no tomorrow, like our life’s work was wrapped up in each session. We approached our performances like religious rites and the music mesmerised, informed and awakened people.” The band’s first album, a Message from Mozambique, was intentionally political. While the anti-war movement focused on Vietnam, Juju looked towards wars being waged in South Africa, Angola and Mozambique over issues of white supremacy and control of natural resources. A second album, ‘Chapter Two: Nia’ would follow before the birth of Oneness Of Juju during the mid-‘70s. This definitive reissue is fully remastered by The Carvery from the original tapes and features original artwork and a new interview with Juju bandleader James “Plunky” Branch.
