NYC´s Superbloom debut LP Superbloom is Brooklyn’s latest entry into the alternative rock scene. Their debut album, “Pollen” is a 12-track love-letter to heavy alternative music that spans infectiously bouncy hard rock, instantly nostalgic acoustic songs, sing-along choruses and undeniable hooks. The album was mastered by Will Yip (Quicksand, Mannequin Pussy, Code Orange), mixed by Joe Reinhart (Remo Drive, Joyce Manor, Hop Along) and produced by Superbloom. The album’s two recent singles, “Whatever” and “Mary on a Chain” have both landed in several Spotify curated playlists including All New Rock, New Alt-Rock Mixtape, Noisy and Alternative Noise. While the album’s feedback-laced instrumentation is hard-hitting at every turn, the band’s sonic signature is embedded in the vocal performance that fills each track with complex layering, earworm melodies and lush harmonies that deliver discoveries of nuanced detail with each listen. . It's 2021 and Vancouver’s Bootlicker are back with their first full length. Experimenting with various lineups and sounds since 2017, these 14 original tracks flesh out their most realized expression. Following four EP’s and two demos, their self-titled debut stays true to the noise cultivated in the previous offerings. That raw, blown-out production countered with clean guitar sound and Internationally-informed take on a UK82 delivery remains. Everything that made the band what they were on their previous output is polished into a ball of fire that will not be contained. Their mid-tempo, menacing posture of tracks like "Herd The Sheep" and "State Of Fever" give way to the D-beat totality of "Master" or "Two Faced" proving there are still ideas in the tank. Whilst most of the North swung to the right in the 2019 General UK Election, the North West held onto their hope and long standing heritage of voting for what imagines itself to still be the ‘Left’. It’s 2022 and there are no political choices left, but to rise up and revolt to Stop the Rot. T.S. Warspite channel their message through a unique musical recipe that answers the question no one asked: What if Bad Religion grew up in Manchester in the 2000s? Made up of some long standing and productive members of the local scene, this sounds like friendship and experience, and some refreshing as fuck hardcore. With the addition of Pittsburgh's synthesist maestro, BusCrates, along with Muller's deftly executed production flourishes; this record goes straight to the sweet spot of post-disco lushness. "Got Me Thinkin Tonight" is designed for the late-nite dancefloor aficionados, taking cues from some of the era's greats and shaking things up into something new and heaving. The synth work and beats weave together with Woodhouse's amorous lyrics to create a dancefloor jam that sounds just as at home in 1982 as it does in 2022. That magic is repeated on the B-side with "Joy & Pain" a straight up hustler of a track, with a driving drums and heady arrangements that, again, are meant to get the dancefloor churning. Nach fast 20 Jahren der Veröffentlichung ihres Debütalbum „Bohème“, welches mit über 500.000 verkauften Einheiten ihre erfolgreichste Veröffentlichung ist, erscheint nun erstmalig die englische Version des Albums.
Die englischen Bohème-Songs wurden 2009 in Berlin aufgenommen.
Adaptiert wurden die Texte von Martin Gallop einem kanadischen Singer-Songwriter. "Mit Annett Louisan trat er 2007 und 2008 als Gaststar auf ihrer „Das optimale Leben“- Tour und 2009 auf der „Teilzeithippie“-Tour auf, wodurch er einem größeren deutschen Publikum bekannt wurde, insbesondere da er von Sommer 2008 bis 2010 mit Annett Louisan auch privat liiert war, was auch von den Boulevard-Medien zur Kenntnis genommen worden war. Die Künstlerin war seinetwegen nach Berlin gezogen, wo Gallop seine neue Wohnheimat gefunden hatte.

DAS ORIGINAL ALBUM VON 1997 INKL. SPECIAL-BONUS: "LIVE IN HAMBURG 1997" MIT 9 TRACKS. ZUM ERSTEN MAL AUF VINYL! Nach einer längeren Veröffentlichungspause erscheint im Juli "97 das vierte Album produziert von Hans Platzgumer im legendären Black Box Studio in Frankreich. Wandel und Weiterentwicklung sind der Platte anzuhören, obgleich sie noch immer eindeutig nach Tocotronic klingt. Doch in den Texten wird Abstand genommen von der "Ich"-Litanei früherer Platten,das "Du" kommt stärker zu seinem Recht. Die Songs sprechen von Entfremdung, von sich voneinander entfernenden Menschen, von der Sehnsucht nach Freundschaft. Im Songwriting sind gesungene und instrumentale Teile stärker ineinander verwoben, der Aufbau der Songs folgt einer Dramaturgie, die in enger Korrespondenz zum Text steht. Dirk von Lowtzows Gesang ist ausgefeilter denn je, in der Melodiesetzung, wie in der Phrasierung, wie auch in der Aufnahme. "Es Ist Egal, Aber.." ist der Abschied von den einfachen musikalischen Laut-Leise-Lösung; Tocotronic verfeinern den Umgang mit ihren musikalischen Mitteln - manche sprechen da gern von Reife.

Loudwire instantly added the song to their ‘Weekly Wire’ Spotify playlist, identifying it as one of the top new releases of the summer. Other iconic outlets such as SPIN Magazine were also early to show support. It was a fitting public introduction to a band who embody what it means to be modern rock stars. The band initially formed in 2018 after connecting and bonding virtually by their love and passion of music. Now in Los Angeles, they are united on a mission to be the next great generation-defining act, drawing inspiration from classic rock acts of the ‘70s and alt-rock groups from the ‘90s. Their music echoes the hallmarks of previous generations - anthemic rhythms, shredding guitars, soaring vocals - but punches its way into the future with clever arrangements, sharp musicianship and proficient songwriting. On her Signature Sounds debut Til It's Gone, Ali McGuirk delivers a sublime set of songs that pairs her trademark soul sound with rootsy turns and raw rock n' roll detours McGuirk co-produced Til It's Gone with Jonah Tolchin (a star singer-songwriter in his own right) and a set of session legends: Little Feat guitarist/mandolinist Fred Tackett, organist Larry Goldings (James Taylor, Norah Jones), singer Valerie Pinkston (Ray Charles, Luther Vandross), percussionist Lenny Castro (Stevie Nicks, Stevie Wonder). They provided the astounding chops, but the true magic of the album comes from McGuirk's singular voice as both singer and songwriter. The nine tracks run from intimate introspection to wider meditations on oppression and justice, from tough r&b and tender soul to big rock guitar and twangy folk. And McGuirk's voice bold, buttery, spellbinding " carries each song to the next til they're gone.
