Sämtliche Einnahmen gehen an die beiden britischen Wohltätigskeitsorganisationen Brighton Women's Centre & RISE, die ihr Möglichstes tun, um Frauen in allen Bereichen von häuslicher Gewalt über Trauer bis Obdachlosigkeit zu helfen. Die LP ist insgesamt auf 1.000 Stück limitiert, die CD enthält 5 Bonustracks.

Snips returns on Barbershop Records for a limited run of 7"s consiting of two classic remakes. Snips enlists Brazillian Yoruba artist Eduardo Brecho for a remake of Fela Kutis classic "Water Get No Enemy" on side A. An Uptempo take sung solely in Yoruba. On Side B Snips is joined by London poet Juno for a remake of a Gil Scotts clasic "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised". A Modern take on topics that seem as relevant today as they did at the time of the originals release.

Exploring many themes including loss, grief, ancestry, culture, belonging/not belonging and identity. It's no coincidence that Bolis Pupul's music sounds the way it does. Born in Belgium to a Chinese mother and Belgian father and raised in the super-cool creative city of Ghent, Bolis' music is a joyous cross-cultural assemblage. Mixing widescreen electronica with the warm-hearted and wonky naivete of Belgian New Beat, Bolis' singular sonics are at once playful, emotive, unrelenting and tender. The real key to unlocking Bolis' musical secret, however, is that conversation he has between his Eastern and Western roots. The creation of the album is built around Bolis' trip to Hong Kong earlier this year, made to reconnect with his late mother's roots.

Tyranny and Mutation is the second studio album by American hard rock band Blue Öyster Cult, released on February 11, 1973, by Columbia Records. The album was recorded at the Columbia Studios in New York City during the year before and was produced by Murray Krugman and Sandy Pearlman. On May 12, 1973, the album peaked at #122 on the Billboard 200.

The song “Baby Ice Dog” features lyrics by singer/poet Patti Smith (who was keyboardist Allen Lanier’s girlfriend at the time), who would make several lyrical contributions to the band’s repertoire during its career. The song “The Red & The Black”, with lyrics referencing the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, is a renamed, re-recorded version of “I’m on the Lamb But I Ain’t No Sheep” from the same-titled debut album. The song was later covered by the Minutemen and Band of Susans.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Tyranny and Mutation is available as a limited edition of 2000 individually numbered copies on translucent blue coloured vinyl.

"Idris Muhammad is an American jazz drummer and bandleader and is one of contemporary music’s most sampled drummers. His resume includes nearly 500 recording credits that range across the genre spectrum and 12 studio albums as a bandleader, including the 1976 House of The Rising Sun. The album is arranged by David Matthews, also known as leader of the Dave Matthews Band (DMB), and produced by Creed Taylor, founder of CTI Records. The track ""Sudan"" is arranged by jazz trumpeter Tom Harrell. The album features several guest performances by New York studio aces, including Joe Beck, Don Grolnick, David Sanborn, Fred Wesley, and Michael Brecker amongst others. House of the Rising Sun is available on black vinyl."

Die amerikanische Band SKELETAL REMAINS bereitet mit "Fragments of the Ageless" für Century Media einen weiteren Death Metal-Angriff vor. Die Besetzung mit Chris Monroy (Gitarre/Gesang), Mike De La O (Gitarre), Pierce Williams (Schlagzeug) und Brian Rush (Bass) verkörpert das Genre und geht dabei tiefer, dunkler und bis an die Grenzen der Brutalität. "Fragments of the Ageless' ist eine stampfende Platte aus purem Death Metal", sagt die Band. "Ein tyrannisches, blastlastlastiges Sperrfeuer aus schnörkellosen Riffs und Kompositionen. Alles an diesem Album ist verdammt brutal und direkt ins Gesicht." SKELETAL REMAINS schrieben 'Fragments of the Ageless' zwischen Europa- und US-Tourneen/Festivals u.a. mit Emperor, Morbid Angel, Mortician, Left to Die und Defeated Sanity. Die Songwriting-Sessions waren von einer No-Limit-Mentalität geprägt, bei der Kreativität und bekannte Genre-Rituale gleichberechtigt nebeneinander standen. Love Is Yes is the first album by Sander van der Toorn and Dax Niesten, an audio-visual duo de force of the same name.

This heady debut is rooted equally in the worlds of fine art and experimental music. Sound and image meld wonderfully across 10 tracks, with shifting movements of music accompanied by a wealth of paintings and animations.

Niesten's work summons the likes of Philip Guston and Maurice Sendak - with its crestfallen, cartoonish voids and cockle-warming grotesquery. Serenely contorted creatures are rendered on large canvases, and brought to fuzzy, maudlin life through a full-length animation that can be viewed alongside the record.

Musically, the pair cite influences ranging from Vashti Bunyan to Morton Feldman. There is an ornate fragility, smeared by zero gravity focus shifts. Some glimpses suggest a corroded grail of Boards of Canada samples; motorik guitar, whispered messages, euphoric vistas and tangled memories all bathing in atomic glow.

The ‘Cuckoo Storm’ might never have been, were it not for a social media post Crowley wrote on a wintery late-night walk in a quiet neighbourhood of Dublin during lockdown. Struck by Waterson’s previous album ‘Death Had Quicker Wings Than Love’ (co-written with David A Jaycock), he wanted to mark the moment and pressed ‘send’ into the ether with no way of knowing what would follow. Drawn to his voice and seeing a kindred spirit in his poetic lyrics, Waterson was touched by his message and responded by asking if he would be interested in working together. His answer was a resounding ‘yes.’

‘Cuckoo Storm’ is a deeply compelling album. A serendipitous collaboration that has resulted in a collection of 11 beautifully crafted songs, sung by two voices that are a powerful match. Mercurio is the debut album by Opuntia, the solo project of Mexico City producer Camila de Laborde. After three albums with her duo/band, Camila Fuchs (ATP/Felte, etc.), Camila decides to embark on a new path of musical and interpersonal exploration with Opuntia as her new alias, and with the album Mercurio as a statement of metamorphosis and creative process.

Broadly speaking, Mercurio is a direct impact of beautiful melodies, rhythms, and voices that traverse a leftfield electronic pop axis, sprinkled with elegant nods to experimental transitions. In Mercurio, you can sense the spaces, textures, and echoes, akin to a sort of retro Sci-Fi analogy. Bass hits or percussions carry a weight that bursts forth yet delicately dissolves instantly – perhaps another analogy, akin to liquid metal. From softness to fury across the ten songs, Opuntia proposes an artistic reinvention in constant movement. Speeds and spaces change, but the narrative remains consistent from beginning to end – finding a place, a resolved utopia. Mercurio is darkly joyful, with substantial doses of sophisticated pop.

French singer/songwriter Cyrille Aimée, a matchless interpreter of song, is back with a new album and a new story to tell "A Fleur de Peau" presents Cyrille in her own words, with her own original compositions presented in her own arrangements, developed in close collaboration with New York multi-instrumentalist and producer Jake Sherman. The music on "A Fleur de Peau" is the most original and personal of Cyrille"s career. Drawing on her Dominican heritage with its cargo of African dance rhythms and Spanish folksongs, embracing the directness and simplicity of contemporary pop forms, singing tales straight from her own life, this is Cyrille as you have never heard her before. The album"s genesis originates far from New York or her adopted New Orleans home, deep within the forests of Costa Rica and an astonishing tale of a creative rebirth.
