Zinc Alloy and the Hidden Riders of Tomorrow is the 1974 album by Marc Bolan and T. Rex. The album was preceded by hit singles “The Groover” and “Truck On (Tyke)” includes the follow-up hit “Teenage Dream”. The results of listening to black radio stations whilst touring the US during 1973 are apparent on this album, something of an oft-overlooked treasure trove.

Remastered by co-producer Tony Visconti and Ted Jensen.

Preceded by some of Bolan’s most fondly-remembered singles, “Children Of The Revolution”, “Solid Gold Easy Action” and the classic “20th Century Boy”, 1973’s Tanx was the first T. Rex album to make full use of the ever-expanding range of studio gadgets. And while the album represented a new musical departure, several tracks maintained a direct link to the old sound.

The album reached number 4 in the UK album charts and has gone on to influence numerous musicians from Suede to Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore. This edition includes the complete album remastered by producer Tony Visconti and Ted Jensen.

Gary’s Gang are the New York group of musicians best know for their US hit ‘Keep On Dancin’’, which reached #41 on the Billboard Hot 100 and UK #8 in 1978. The single sold over half a million copies around the world. The follow-up was ‘Let’s Love Dance Tonight’ (UK top 49 in 1979) and ‘Do It At The Disco’ and these three tracks have been sampled numerous times.

Peter Brown is one of the ultimate in Harlem underground music business entrepreneurs. From the 70's, all through the 80's he had a stream of releases on a plethora of labels, but ultimately under the
P&P banner. From soul, to disco to the birth of hip hop, he covered all the street sounds of New York and in a series of comps Demon are exploring his legacy. P&P soul and funk covers the 1970's with a number of rare, sought after masterpieces and some
equally essential obscurities.

From the former category we have the magnificent ESP by Four
Below Zero, Dennis Mobley's Rare Groove instrumental version of Superstition and Florence Miller's soul floor filler 'The Groove I'm In' Super rare funk is present from Wild Honey, Smokey Brooks and Flame & The Sons. The roots of disco is well represented with Magnetic Touch's original version of Ain't No Big Thing and Ella Hamilton's I'm Gonna Fool You.

New York rap trio consisting of DJ Curt Catzal and MC’s AJ Rok and MC B-Luv, signed to B-Boy Records, a significant player in the development of hip-hop in the 1980's. The group broke out with an underground hit single ‘Strong Island’ and the song would open their 1988 album Doin’ Damage.

This track is an enduring classic and would become the group’s signature moment. Other highlights on the album include; ‘Stylin’ Lyrics’, ‘The Force Is Buggin’ and ‘Take It Away’.

Widely and rightly regarded as one of the best ever soul and funk bands, the now legendary Average White Band tore-up the rule book and conquered the US, UK & International charts with a series of soul and disco hits between 1974 and 1980. AWB’s repertoire has been a source of inspiration and influence for many R&B acts and they are one of the most sampled bands in history, remaining relevant today, continuing to reach new generations of younger audiences. Snoop Dogg, Fatboy Slim, Ice Cube, Puff Daddy, TLC, Rick Ross, will.i.am and Mark Ronson amongst countless others, have all borrowed sections of their grooves. ‘Show Your Hand’ is the debut album by AWB and was originally released in 1973 on MCA Records, having been recorded in London. It was produced by AWB with Robin Turner and set up a tantalising deal with the US giant, Atlantic Records.

In this vintage 6-part adventure, first shown on BBC TV in February and March 1965, a strange magnetic force pulls the TARDIS down to the craterous surface of Vortis. The Doctor and his friends learn that the planet has been invaded, and the parasitic Animus is slowly enveloping it in a web-like domain. The giant ant-like Zarbi are under its control, whilst the butterfly-like Menoptra are battling to reclaim their planet.
Presented across 3 x heavyweight 180g pieces of pink vinyl, this narrated TV soundtrack evokes a classic Doctor Who adventure in all its aural magnificence. The alien ambience of Vortis, the insistent chirruping of the Zarbi, and the supernatural voice of the Animus are all accompanied by the eerie sonics of Ron Grainer & Delia Derbyshire’s theme tune.
Written by Bill Strutton, this was the Doctor’s most exotic and lavish adventure yet. Linking narration is provided by Maureen O’Brien (Vicki) and the cast includes William Russell as Ian, Jacqueline Hill as Barbara, Martin Jarvis as Hilio and Roslyn de Winter as Vrestin. Accompanying the pink vinyl LPs are full episode billings, cast and credits, and eight illustrated
panels form a superb artwork montage. This is a first-time audio release for this very special

He created some of the greatest moments in underground African American dance music, across a handful of labels in the 70s and 80s.

Due to his independent ethos his releases on imprints such as Heavenly Star, Sound Of New York, La Shawn, P&P and others would often disappear after a single low numbered pressing making them incredible hard to find on original pressing.

Tracks such as Mary Clarke’s ‘Take Me I’m Yours’, and the Fosters Jackson Group’s ‘Feel The Spirit’ have been championed by DJs such as Floating Points and Dimitri from Paris.
