Am 28. April kündigt Neneh Cherry ein neues Projekt mit dem Titel „The Versions“ an, dass am 10. Juni erscheint. Dabei handelt es sich um ein gemeinsames Album mit Coverversionen aus ihrem umfangreichen Katalog, die von einigen der aufregendsten und angesehensten Künstlerinnen unserer Zeit eingespielt wurden. „The Versions” ist ein 10-Track-Album, auf dem Neneh Cherrys Hits von Künstlern zu hören sind, die eine persönliche Verbindung zu der Künstlerin und ihrer Musik haben. Sia drückt ihre Liebe zu Neneh
und ihrer Familie aus, indem sie sagt: ”Neneh war meine Lieblingskünstlerin, als sie auf der Bildfläche erschien.“ Neben SIA beteiligten sich auch Künstler wie Robyn, Peng und ANOHNI. Alle teilnehmenden KünstlerInnen sind nicht nur untereinander befreundet, sondern auch echte Neneh-Fans. Die Londoner
Rapperin Greentea Peng hat den Song „Buddy X“ als Garage Nummer interpretiert, Jamila Woods gibt „Kootchi“ einen souligen Touch. Jede Artist fügt ihre ganz persönliche Note zu “The Version“ hinzu. Das

Culture III is the fourth studio album by American hip hop trio Migos. It was released by Capitol Records, Motown Records, and Quality Control Music on June 11, 2021. The album features guest appearances from Drake, Cardi B, Polo G, Future, Justin Bieber, Juice Wrld, Pop Smoke, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again. It is the follow-up to their 2018 album Culture II and serves as the conclusion to their Culture trilogy

"Blossoms fourth studio album Ribbon Around The Bomb, is released on the 29th April. The band have also shared the title track from the album and its accompanying video, directed by Edwin Burdis, Arctic Monkeys’ Creative Director, who worked on the band’s Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino and AM albums.

Ribbon Around The Bomb is the first new music from Blossoms since their ‘vibrant single’ (NME) Care For, which was released in 2021. Care For gained great support from radio, with the track being playlisted and made the ‘Hottest Record’ by Radio 1, as well as getting on the B-List with Radio 2. The track was also added to key streaming playlists, including Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’, ‘All New All Now’ and ‘The Indie List’. Am 22.04. erscheint ”Epithymia” von Die Andere Seite. Ein erstes Album, aber kein klassisches Debüt, denn: Bis vor kurzem traten Tom Schilling und seine Band noch als Tom Schilling & The Jazz Kids auf und veröffentlichten als solche 2017 das Album ”Vilnius”. Die Besetzung ist zwar weitestgehend gleichgeblieben und auch Moses Schneider ist wieder dabei. Doch mit Die Andere Seite wird in vielfacher Hinsicht ein neues Kapitel aufgeschlagen, was sich auch in den zehn Liedern von ”Epithymia” manifestiert.

”Mir gefällt natürlich, dass ‚Die Andere Seite‘ eine Metapher für den Tod ist. Das passt gut zu einem Sehnsuchts-Album. Wenn man dieses unstillbare Gefühl in sich trägt, erlebt man vieles intensiver, aber
man fühlt sich oft auch fremd und heimatlos in dieser Welt”, so Tom Schilling. ”Ich weiß nur, dass der Kern meiner Sehnsucht letztlich der Wunsch nach innerem Frieden ist. Nach dem Ankommen. Dem Nichts. Zu Ende gedacht also vielleicht die Sehnsucht nach dem Tod.”

”Epithymia” ist ein besonderes, ein intensives, ein herausforderndes Album. Was nicht nur für die Musik gilt. Für das Artwork fand Tom Schilling eine Künstlerin, die seiner Arbeit und seinen Gedanken sehr nahe steht: Natalie Huth, die aus alten Zeitschriften, Zeitungen und Fotografien dunkle, mal Angst einflößende, mal romantische Collagen fertigt, hat nicht nur das Album-Cover gestaltet – sie bebildert jeden Track des Albums mit ihren düsteren Arbeiten.

In March 2020 Elton was forced to pause his record breaking Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour due to the unfolding COVID pandemic. As the world began to shut down, different projects presented themselves with artists Elton had enjoyed getting to know through his Apple Music show Rocket Hour. This was the beginning of one of Elton's boldest and most interesting records to date that he has billed ‘The Lockdown Sessions’. This album saw Elton coming full circle and returning to his roots as a session musician. Some of the sessions were recorded under very stringent safety regulations: working with another artist, but separated by glass screens. But all the tracks I worked on were really interesting and diverse, stuff that was completely different to anything I’m known for, stuff that took me out of my comfort zone into completely new territory. And I realised there was something weirdly familiar about working like this. At the start of my career, in the late 60s, I worked as a session musician. Working with different artists during lockdown reminded me of that. I’d come full circle: I was a session musician again. And it was still a blast.”

'Bohemian Rhapsody' Original Film Soundtrack

and new versions of band classics heads for October 19 release.

For the first time ever audio tracks from Queen's legendary performance at Live Aid are being released as part of the soundtrack album to "Bohemian Rhapsody", 20th Century Fox and Regency Enterprises' forthcoming feature film celebrating the band, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Recorded at the historic Wembley concert in July 1985, these Live Aid songs are among the rare gems and unheard versions from the band's rich catalogue.

Alongside the show-stopping Live Aid performances of Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio Ga Ga, Hammer To Fall and We Are The Champions, the album features other rare live tracks spanning Queen's entire career, new versions of old favourites, and a choice selection of the band's finest studio recordings. Among them are some of Queen's biggest hits, including eleven all-time anthems that reached Number One around the world. The track listing is being announced on 5 September 2018, which would have been Freddie's 72nd birthday.

"Bohemian Rhapsody" is scheduled to have its World Premiere in the UK on 23 October before opening across the world in early November. It stars Rami Malek as Freddie, Gwilym Lee as Brian May, Ben Hardy as Roger Taylor, Joe Mazzello as John Deacon, and Lucy Boynton as Freddie's lifelong companion Mary Austin. The soundtrack, featuring all-original Queen recordings and vocals, is released on CD and digital formats on 19 October.

Ian Brown has released a brand new single, 'First World Problems', his first solo material in nine years. The single precedes the new album 'Ripples', which will be released on March 1, 2019. Inspired by talent, multiple Grammy-winning composer, producer, arranger and guitarist Nile Rodgers is always collaborating, working with musical superstars and breaking artists alike. The album's cover revisits a strong sense of conceptual aesthetics that have run through the bands career since the very start. The artwork of their debut self-titled album (inspired partly by Roxy Music album covers such as 'Stranded' and 'Country Life') featured Valentine Monnier and Alva Chinn, and personified the band's unique style and intent. The 'It's About Time' cover features models Duckie Thot and Jazzelle Zanaughtti. 'When I first came up with the concept for the first CHIC album cover more than 40 years ago it was a deliberate statement that we could all be abundant, we could all be with the beautiful people, we could all be included, we could all have good times. Looking at the world today for the release of 'It's About Time' I felt that it was important to make those statements again for a new generation' Nile explains.

Rodgers transcends all styles of music with a catalogue of work that's garnered him plaudits from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (2017) and the Songwriters Hall of Fame (2016). Recorded during Spring 2018 as Marc and Dave collaborated on the tracklist for their career box set, 'Northern Lights' and 'Guilty (Cos I Say You Are)' represent the first new music from the ever-fascinating Soft Cell. This limited edition double-A-sided 7' single features special radio edits created by Dave Ball. Paying tribute to the Northern Soul scene which had such a pivotal influence on British electronica's most influential and fascinating band, 'Northern Lights' is the brand-new single from Soft Cell - their first since 2002.

Featuring all the magic and class of vintage Soft Cell, the track has an interesting origin. At the beginning of 2018 Marc Almond and Dave Ball dropped the bombshell announcement that they would reform for one night only at London's O2 Arena. In April it was also revealed that the September 30th gig would be preceded on September 7th by a 10-disc career retrospective box set, titled 'Keychains & Snowstorms'.
