A shimmering blend of post-grunge, riff-doom and driving psychedelia from current and ex-members of Torche, Abrams and Royal Thunder OMNI is the latest album from Moon Destroys, bringing together current and former members of Torche, Abrams, and Royal Thunder for an exhilarating blend of post-grunge, riff-driven doom, and expansive psychedelia. Building on the atmospheric foundation established by She Walks by Moonlight, the band condenses its widescreen sound into a collection of immediate, hook-filled songs without sacrificing the depth and weight that define its music. The album balances crushing riffs, soaring melodies, and immersive soundscapes across eleven tightly crafted tracks, demonstrating the group's ability to merge heavy rock, doom, and psychedelic influences into a cohesive and memorable listening experience. The performances showcase both powerful musicianship and an instinct for dynamic songwriting, delivering an album that feels equally massive and accessible. OMNI represents Moon Destroys at its most focused and confident, offering a compelling statement from a band whose collective pedigree continues to push modern heavy music in exciting directions.
