"Mercedes' is Sarah Klang's first single of 2023, and also announces her upcoming album of the same title. Blending Alt Pop sounds with Americana influences, 'Mercedes' has a lushness that is reminiscent of Stevie Nicks and 'Rumours'. Shimmering synths underpin smooth rock and Sarah's soaring vocals.

Sarah Klang's upcoming album charts a very personal experience of her pregnancy, and title track 'Mercedes' encapsulates her hopes and dreams for her child. In her words, it is ”a letter to my daughter - this is the song I wrote when I was expecting her. A promise of eternal love. And that I will do my best.

The South London formed in 2017 as a duo of bassist Josh Longman and guitarist Frank Wates, they then recruited vocalist Jenna Kyle before reaching their final form at the start of 2021 with the recruitment of drummer Kieran Weston.

After releasing three EPs, they are now gearing up for their debut album Lost In A Rush Of Emptiness, where the band felt free to experiment, always keeping true to their alternative nature. The songs on it are packed with widescreen, dreamy soundscapes that pushed their aesthetics forwards and continued the experimentation that exists at the heart of the project.

The song and production background began when the band created a roadhouse in rural Australia, performing an unannounced month-long residency in the small Victorian town of Campbells Creek, whilst working on their sixth record. The atmosphere of the live performance is recreated with pedal steel and crooning vocals and harmonies. The song lyrics reminisce of a romance still as alive as a blue flame."We had talked about this for years" Sam Bentley explains, "We were drawn to the idea of holding up in a town somewhere and playing the evenings as a house band. The Roadhouse became this place for us."Expanding their line-up, the five members of The Paper Kites recruited three extra musicians to make up their roadhouse band, including multi-instrumentalist Matt Dixon - who's weeping pedal steel features on the track - as well as Hannah Cameron and Chris Panousakis.

The record is both a wonderful evolution in Tom's songwriting, and perhaps his most personal, heartfelt work so far. Inspired by pivotal moments, the album examines everything from family strife to heartbreak and abandonment, and exhibits some of the most confident, refined songwriting of his career. Set against lush soundscapes of beautifully textured guitars, agile strings and bright piano notes, these songs delve into the wonders of new love; reach out to a beloved sister; celebrate a close friend's good news. "I've touched on things in this record that I've never spoken about before," he says. "It's without doubt my most personal to date."Title track 'Love & Light' is dedicated to Speight's older sister, Cathy. Like "Tomorrow", it reaches out to a loved one with an emotional acuity that is startling for its candour. "My sister was the one who gave me my first guitar," he explains. "She used to pick me up from school... sometimes she'd forget and be a bit late, but I didn't mind." The song (like the album) is full of unconditional love, powerful enough that it stays with you long after the final note.

Roach is Miya Folick's clearest and most direct work yet, eschewing
some of the lyrical and musical obfuscations she layered onto her 2018 debut album,

Premonitions With ear- worm melodies, heart- wrenching poetry, eclectic production and anchored by Folick's once-in-a-lifetime voice, Roach straddles a line between pop and something more experimental.

She enlisted a team of collaborators who she
trusted to bring out the grittier side of her artistry, including Gabe Wax (War on
Drugs, Fleet Foxes), Mike Malchicoff (King Princess, Bo Burnham), Max
Hershenow (MS MR) and a team of some of LA's best players. The result is an
album that sounds as honest and intimate as the subject matter at hand, a
candid snapshot of where she is now and what it took to get there

Brian Fennell is a student of simplicity

As SYML (pronounced simmel), which translates to simple in Welsh, Fennell writes emotive ambient pop songs that capture the ethos of his musical persona.

With delicate piano, swells of strings and Fennells sterling vocals, the songs that comprise In My Body, embody the relinquishing of all emotions, a cathartic release laid bare.

With a keen grasp on textural and emotive songwriting, SYML aka Brian
Fennell combines bare piano, minimalist synth and string-scapes, and
ethereal vocals to create his music
Adopted and not knowing his history or connection to his Welsh roots, many of
these songs are influenced by the complex feelings that come from unknown
lineage.

Skinny Puppy exploded onto the electronic industrial music scene with
1984's Remission, fusing elements of new wave, techno dance, film noir,
and innovative sampling
Lead by cEvin Key and Nivek Ogre, the band quickly garnered an international
fanbase and followed up their new success with 1985's Bites, which produced
their first underground hit, "Assimilate." Restored to their original track listing and
design, Remission and Bites are now available on vinyl for the first time in over 25
years.

As Anomalie, the shape- shifting production project he unveiled in 2016, Dupuis has channeled his musical upbringing (his mother, a piano teacher; his father, a host on Radio- Canada), formal schooling, and stage- seasoned chops into two companion EPs — Metropole and Metropole II — the Chromeo collaboration Bend the Rules, and a series of singles lighting a pathway to his upcoming long-form debut, Galerie.
Galerie’s forward-facing approach may call to mind a timeless phrase familiar to any jazzhead: The Shape of Jazz to Come. Ornette Coleman’s 1959 opus reconfigured traditional notions of harmonic structure, its title and content serving as both a blueprint and open question for progressive music’s future. With Dupuis’ reverent but revolutionary project, that answer is no longer in the past or on the horizon; it’s here.

"With a catchy indie-pop sound and her elegant songwriting the 24-yearold Austrian OSKA is capturing everybody´s hearts
Born as Maria Burger, the talented artist took her rich musical upbringing to
Vienna where she has now crafted her debut album My world, My love, Paris.
Through its various themes like love, family and legacy the record is ultimately a
snapshot of a young woman attempting to make sense of getting older in an
increasingly uncertain era. Despite that, she always manages to put a smile on
her listeners faces."

How to Grow a Sunflower Underwater is the follow-up to Alex The
Astronaut's ARIA Music Award-nominated debut, The Theory Of
Absolutely Nothing
An unforgettably original lyricist, the music of Australian singer/songwriter Alex
the Astronaut cycles through a series of radiantly detailed slices of life. Alex
documents moments of both the seemingly mundane from a haircut, a therapy
session, a trip to the beach and to the supermarket to then utterly life-changing
experiences as a care giver along with the PTSD that followed and her recent
diagnosis with autism.
The 26- year- old artist imbues her songs with equal parts self- awareness and
sensitivity, imagination and idiosyncratic humor and in its intimate exploration of
post- traumatic growth, the result is a body of work affirming Alex as a truly
essential songwriter, capable of transforming the way we view ourselves and the
world around us..

The multi-instrumentalist duo that comprises Hermitude - Luke Dubber
(aka Luke Dubs) and Angus Stuart (aka El Gusto) - were in Japan when
Covid became a stark reality
Just making it back to Australia before the borders closed, they quietly slipped up
to Angus' place just outside of the Blue Mountain town of Blackheath as the rest
of the world went into meltdown.
The two holed up together in Angus' childhood home with a pared- back music
setup and began a process that was all about taking back control over how and
why they make music as Hermitude. As Luke says, "they say the artist is your
inner child, so it was like the children were out at play. There were no rules or
expectations; we just threw stuff at the wall. It was really fun, which is why we
started making music in the first place." A year and a half later, Mirror Mountain
was finished.
The album acts as a reawakening, a place to draw strength as time goes by..

Mallrat's prized pop songwriting has become a beacon the music industry
eagerly follows, and on her debut album Butterfly Blue, she embodies the
spirit of its titular creature – but without the delicacy that keeps you at a
distance
Over a dozen clever and open-hearted tracks, Mallrat – aka Grace Shaw – draws
you in close and shows you the world through her wide, hopeful eyes...

“Speight’s music takes the best elements of folk and pop music and puts them together to create a raw and infectious sound.” – The Telegraph“Enchanting debut (album).” – The Times“Gorgeous acoustic flecked hymns, trenchant rockers, off-the-cuff folk pieces, Tom Speight can draw his muse anywhere.” – CLASH“Few artists can make heartbreak feel like both a blast and a wretch.” – Atwood
Tom Speight has made the album that 2021 deserves. A celebration of living life to the max, Everything’s Waiting For You is a timely reminder to approach every day as an adventure, and an invitation to ride alongside the singer/songwriter as he travels the world wide-eyed. Recorded with producer Chris Bond in Devon and featuring contributions from regular collaborators Lydia Clowes and Turin Brakes’ Olly Knights, Everything’s Waiting For You is a bigger, bolder and poppier album, with sunny song titles, boisterous guitars, shimmering electronics and lashings of beautiful backing vocals are among the album’s calling cards.

'Roses' is the 5th studio album from The Paper Kites. An alluring, dynamic and diverse company, the ‘Roses’ vocalists were hand picked by the band to feature on the new album.
