DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT wurde 2009 mit der Veröffentlichung ihres in Eigenregie produziertem selbst-betiteltem Demo-Debut-Albums von Nikita Kamprad und Tobias Jaschinsky geboren. Die grundlegende Idee zur Band und das erste musikalische Material entstanden jedoch schon ca. eineinhalb Jahre vorher, nachdem sich die gemeinsame Band der Gründungsväter FROSTGRIM aufgelöst hatte, der Drang, sich in melodischem und atmosphärischem Black Metal durch Musik und Text zu verwirklichen, aber immer noch bestand. Die erste Auflage (200 Exemplare) des Erstlingswerkes wurde über die Homepage der Band angeboten und war binnen eines Monats ausverkauft. Es folgte das Signing der Band bei Viva Hate Records mit einer Neuaufnahme des selbstbetitelten Albums sowie der EP-Veröffentlichung mit Namen "AGONIE" in 2011. Das Medienfeedback war beeindruckend, wurden sie bereits von Magazinen, wie dem Metal Hammer als die talentierteste Black Metal Band Deutschlands betitelt. Darüber begeisterten sie Musiker aller Riegen für sich, wie KREATOR Mastermind MILLE ("Der Weg einer Freiheit sind die Zukunft des deutschen Extrem-Metal. Überdeutlicher geht's nicht!") oder DARK FUNERAL's Frontmann Nachtgarm. Ein Siegeszug zeichnete sich ab, ein weiteres Album musste her. Nachdem das Songwriting für ein zweites Full-Length Album gegen Ende 2011 abgschlossen war, wurde der Entschluss gefasst, im Februar/März 2012 das Tonstudio Würzburg aufzusuchen, um 'Unstille' zu verewigen. Dabei entschied sich die Band, die komplette Produktion zum Album selbst in die Hand zu nehmen, was sämtliche Instrumental- und Gesangsaufnahmen als auch den Mix und das Master beinhaltet. DJ Sofa has been growing to be one of the greats in the new jungle scene over the past few years, working with some of the great people like Tim Reaper, Dwarde, Coco Bryce, and being played by almost every DJ on every party including Sully, Double O and too many others to count.
I myself have been working lots with her as well on collaborative tunes, so it was only a matter of time and the obvious choice to have her do a solo EP on the label.

A 4 choice cut of melodic, melancholic & ruff hardcore jungle selections sure to make the dancefloor nice but also for the home listeners looking to vibe out.

25th anniversary release of the album from 1998 as expanded special limited edition. It is the eighth Dub Syndicate studio album mixed by Adrian Sherwood. Originally released as catalogue number Lion & Roots 002 in 1998 on Style Scott"s own label here"s the expanded and remastered collector"s limited edition as 2LP-set including six additional tracks not available on the original vinyl release and also as 18-track CD release, with the booklet including excerpts from an unpublished interview. Main vocal contributor is the legendary artist Big Youth plus Little David courtesy J.R. Productions (Junior Reid"s camp), backing vocals by Skip McDonald and Style Scott"s inimitable laughter. The basic tracks were recorded in Jamaica, with some of the pals from the Roots Radics days (i.e. Flabba Holt, Steely Johnson) at Studio 2000 (Steely & Clevie"s studio) and the legendary Tuff Gong Recording Studio, followed by overdubbing in the USA at Greenpoint Studios (Bill Laswell"s studio) and Playroom Studios in New York, with additional overdub and final mix at On-U Sound (London) by Adrian Sherwood.

Following contributions to Manchester based label Chequered Wax and an emotionally elevated weapon on Groove Estate Records in June last year, Twenty Angels EP sees Eyerate continue to explore the outer limits of techno, trance and future-facing club; in an EP both clinical and entrancing.

The Norwich based producer wastes no time with a thunderous opening on ‘Undone’ - a kick-drum enthralled in reverb and so heavy, it’s destined to blow the roof off any club system. Rave painted tabs and underlining atmospherics give the track an even greater sense of largeness; best heard in dark corners with high-ceilings. A masterclass in contrast ‘IDK You’ bulldozes through with its threatening, industrial tone; its peripheral vision absorbed in light, as lasers shoot straight ahead.

‘Twenty Angels’ aptly follows-suit with its knee-jerking grooves and pace setting enthusiasm. The track's beauty comes from how it muses between hypnotic states of consciousness and raw, untethered energy. The record's arc comes to an end in ‘Youth Eternal’ touching on everything from trippy 303s to emotionally charged trance and techno; in a club-facing track made for journeying.

Following on from our previous Gladys Knights & The Pips 12" ('Love Is Always On My Mind'/'Bourgie Bourgie' Cat No: DISCO115) it gives us great pleasure to re-issue her most expensive and in-demand 12" - the Canadian only Walter Gibbons remix of "It's A Better Than Good Time" backed with the full version of "Saved By The Grace Of Your Love".

This is a legendary and super-rare 12" which was only ever issued in Canada and has become something of a holy grail for serious dance music collectors over the years.

Strut presents an exclusive new collaboration between UK jazz keyboardist Greg Foat and Venetian ambient / electronic maestro Gigi Masin on ‘Dolphin’.

Recorded remotely during 2021-2022 the album took shape in the form of mutual compositions, gradually developed and embellished online. Final recording sessions took place at the majestic Chale Abbey Studios on the Isle Of Wight with Moses Boyd (drums), Tom Herbert (bass) and Siobhan Cosgrove (flute, clarinet) adding elements to several pieces. Tracks include the reflective, wistful single ‘Viento Calido’ and drifting ambient piece ‘Sabena’, a beautiful tribute to Gigi’s wife who sadly passed away during 2022.



Greg Foat has recorded prolifically in recent years for Athens Of The North, Jazzman and Strut including acclaimed albums Symphonie Pacifique (2020) and The Mage (2019). Best known for his 1986 ambient masterpiece Wind and as a member of Gaussian Curve, Gigi Masin has enjoyed a revival in recent years through his Calypso album on R&S’s Apollo label and renewed touring. Dolphin represents Greg and Gigi’s first landmark recording collaboration together. “I first heard Gigi’s album Wind in 2016,” remembers Greg. “I was living in Miami and I heard it playing one Summer evening Since then, it has always been in my mind to be able to record together.”

Brothers Hom Yu and Jiun Chi returned to Taipei in 2017 after finishing their studies. Since then they began to explore their mutual obsession for Taiwanese occult-inspired art and vintage superstitious imagery, channelling it through music. Mong Tong means many things in Chinese, but the translation they choose to fit their music is “the east-side of dreams”.

Growing up in Taiwan in the 90’s, the brothers listen to 電子琴音樂 which they describe as “relaxing Chinese synth pop” along with video game soundtracks, psychedelic music, doom metal and sound collage/library music. On “Mystery秘神” these inspirations combine with the dark humour of Taiwanese folklore and a love of conspiracy theories to form what they describe as “a psychedelic journey to the east.”

Recorded in their home studio in Taipei, “Mystery 秘神” is a psychedelic journey into Taiwanese folklore combined with the 80’s media obsession with the supernatural. It’s a record that manages to combine nostalgia and tradition with humour and an underlying intrinsic earthiness to create something unlike anything else out there.

oneeyedman is the project by the Hungarian-based artist István Sándor, seeing with one eye the release “Eat Alone a Miso Soup” that is landing on the musical hub Sakskøbing. The record has been over a year in the making and has gathered the shape using the all-seeing eye we witness today.

A producer with multiple aliases and projects, the sound wizard behind world recognized mastering studio Jammin Masters and brother of Khan, owner of the legendary New York record store and record label Temple Records. Cem Oral, the aforementioned, raised in Germany by a Turkish father and a Finnish mother, heavily influenced by Jamaican dub and electronic music pioneers, began his career at a tender age playing with four-track recorders and synthesizers, juggling between collaborations with many pop music stars, or as sound-designer of film soundtracks, and in underground solo or group projects, writing some of the most beautiful pages of German and European alternative music in general. At the same time since 1993, he has mastered over forty thousand tracks for countless prominent artists and labels. "Never Been On E" as Oral Experience is definitely an odd release if you know La Bella Di Notte catalog, but probably one of the most representative of his own vision. The reissue comes courtesy of Cem Oral and fully restored by none other than himself.

Ricardo Baez draws on many influences. Electro, house, synth-pop and italo are pillars of the Italian artist’s unique style. The Florence based musician arrives at the Bordello with On and On. Featuring Curses, the opener is a floor-filler. Known for his EBM-stained wave works, this vocal mix is a late night Summer romp. Crisp percussion and warm bass lines usher in addictive hooks and throaty vocals from Luca Venezia.

The original version follows. Lyrics are stripped back allowing the upbeat synth play to take the limelight. Cascading notes announce the flip. “Sfida Notturna” is built on delicate drum patterns and arc of string before breaking to a heady dawn.

“Dietro L’orizzonte” brings the curtain down. Toms and cinematic synthlines introduce rasping rhythms and vocoder samples. The piece is perfectly measured, fragile keys ascend next cymbal crashes and computer voice. Sumptuous sounds from the north of Italy.

Salomo & Reece Walker start their new sublabel from R.A.N.D. Muzik Recordings with a collaborative EP of house groovers and freedom vibes.

Beyond Paradise returns with a sumptuous slice of tripped out business from the mind of Richard Hardcastle aka Solid State, complete with two stunning remixes from Richard Sen and The Veteran Delinquents.

Over 35 years in the game, as a club DJ, radio presenter and producer since the late ‘80s, Richard Hardcastle is a true veteran of the scene and certainly knows a thing or two about what works on the dancefloor. ‘Seven More Minutes Of Funk’ delves into the psychedelic side of his production with a club-ready cosmic stomper complete with twisted guitars, hypnotic synths and wall shaking bassline.

‘Rhodes To Nowhere’ is more beachside than basement, a funked up retro electro cut with dazzling keys, ‘80s snares and a serious shot of feel-good flare.

On the flip, the title track gets the remix treatment from Richard Sen and The Veteran Delinquents, the former warping the original into an EBM powerhouse whilst the later turns into an end of the night, electro-infused chugger.

Timmo is a new name to Drumcode and one in which they hope to be seeing more of. Having released tracks on Fone, BluFin, Octopus and Alleanza to name a few, Timmo's production career is set to shine as his new material is getting noticed from the likes of Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Richie Hawtin, Nicole Moudaber, Len Faki, Dustin Zahn to name a few. Also launching his own highly revered radio show called 'Big Room' which,has had guests such as Robert Babicz, Umek, Fergie, Alan Fitzpatrick and many more,Timmo is a name to look out for in 2014.

Timmo's debut Drumcode release 'We Beat On' carries a flow through out that gives Timmo his own unique sound that has captured the ears of many highly revered techno DJ's around the world. Timmo uses hypnotic sounds and phrases whilst he always maintains a thumping techno beat that underlies all the tracks within this EP to maximum effect. Furthermore, there is a ghostly feel amongst Timmo's tracks that really provide him with his acquired sound, the pads in 'Canvas' are a beautiful reminder of this. Timmo also uses strong synth stabs to full effect that juxtapose against the drums to help create the tension and aggression that is present within techno.

Complimenting the release of the new Supafunkanova Vol.3 album by Woody Bianchi is this extremely badass 7” for all those that like it at 45. Two very rare, choice cuts from the album, one of which doesn’t feature on the Vinyl version of the Compilation.

First up is the Together Band with their falsetto boogie funk track ‘Calif. Curl, Calif. Girl’ sitting somewhere between Slave & One Way with it’s killer guitar groove, disco toms and synth swells.

On the flip is The Firebolts - Firebolt Hustle an extremely hard to find cut on 7” featuring legends such as Bernard Wright and Barry Johnson. A pure badass Funk track from the Disco-Boogie era indeed!

Opening up the Pop Shop in style, one side sees Norway’s Twson reworking a disco hit into an 10 minute 35 second epic whilst the other lets loose London’s Ron Bacardi (aka Ben Sims), dropping a slick edit of a hellarare MJ cover.

White Scar, sublabel of Subterranean Odyssey, is back for its second instalment. The next feature is called the “The Judge’s Head” and true to the theme for White Scar it features four tracks from four different producers.

Eliaz returns on the A1 with “Spaceventura” which is more of the mayhem that you come to expect from the Slovenian given his releases so far. A2 is from Uruguayan producer Estef, with “Roto” a club-ready weapon which already has and will continue to tear up dancefloors upon release.

On the flip side, B1 is from Colombia based, Buraye, and true to form, he delivers “Towering Vortex” - a hypnotic techno workout. Finally, on the B2 is “Moon” by Nay, who is an up and coming producer from Liverpool, UK. Big things to come from him, you will no doubt hear much more from Nay in the future!

Quirk is a new Norwegian label by Alexander Skancke. The first release sports four playful tracks with a blend of house, acid and UK Garage. All with minimalistic and modern touch. Vinyl only. Keep it fun!

Thinc is proud to present the first of a two-part release featuring Romanian Duo, ALSI. Drawing from the title ‘Raw Duties’, Alex Florea & Silviu Tănase give us four chronic, cutting-edge tracks. ‘Raw Duties’ speaks for itself as a percussion-heavy groover filled with eerie synth pads, a punching bassline and subtle vocals. ‘Bold’ introduces itself with it’s pungent bassline, keeping this trippy roller on track as psychedelic sounds, effects & vocals immerse this monster. On the B-side, ‘Sit With Me’ stands strong in this EP with ALSI’s renown syncopated beat and forceful bassline offering the perfect hypnotic groove. Last but definitely not least, we have ‘The Light’, a weird yet seductive track, comprising of bright keys, and soaring synths that crescendo throughout.

Re-issue of Arpanet's second album from 2005. After the criticly acclaimed 'Wireless Internet' album Arpanet goes on a starker and more experimental ambient trip. As with his other pseudonyms Gerald Donald pushes the envelop further on every album with sonic explorations of scientific, technological and social themes. Originally released on Rephlex, now remastered for Clone Aqualung Series with a new exclusive track from the same sessions 'Superposition-Many Worlds'.

Veteran producer Black Merlin aka George Thompson debuts on Transmigration sub label Crystal Ceremony with four dense and hypnotic dance floor cuts.

Informed as much by a deep knowledge of dance music’s history as well as extensive field recording work in some of the most remote parts of the world, the EP’s 4 tracks swerve modern techno’s expectations of high BPMs in favour of a slow, timeless journey through ritualistic drum patterns, atmospheric modular loops and ethereal vocals.

Following up his anthemic late-summer burner, Hope, Credit 00 returns to Pinkman to deliver the album Midnightlife Crisis. Hopping between genres whilst remaining resolutely coherent, the twelve-track double LP is a showcase of the Rat Life boss' many influences. From the driving, mesmeric techno of Music Is A Spiritual Thing to the sci-fi electro on Bouncing Bell and Love Warrior's downtempo, half-time shuffle, the collection of tracks is broad and varied yet simultaneously unified by belonging to the club. Whether it's warm-up material, peaktime rollers or afterhours sludge for tired legs and scrambled heads, there's something for every scenario on Midnightlife Crisis. And with recurring themes of melancholy and anxiety throughout, the album perhaps reflects that all too familiar period for every club enthusiast when the years are ticking by and the lights are coming on. "I just hope there's hope", sings the voice on the album's lead single, before reminding us that the dancefloor's sweet release is often the best remedy to these negative thoughts - "I see you shaking on the floor, that gives me hope, gives me hope."

order to see someone elses perspective on his latest album "Nonlinear Times", Florian commited two of his favorite Techno producers and gave them total freedom on what they would do with the tracks.

Iconic Industrial Techno producer Black Asteroid, who is one half of the critically acclaimed MOTOR on Chris Liebings CLR Recordings and well known for his releases on Electric Deluxe, delivered a trend setting remix of "I Know The Kick" with Electro influenced industrial beats and electric guitar injections. Bryan Black aka Black Asteroid definitely knows the kick!

Jeroen Search, who recently released an impressive album on Len Faki's FIGURE Label, delivered two remixes for this EP and was able to isolate the essences of the original tracks and weave them into his very own, classic and confident interpretations. "Dimension Slip" got a hypnotic and deep treatment, whereas "Surrealist" was taken far away from its original direction into a jacking club tune - maintaining the scifiish, full of suspense feel.

Step One is the debut album by British pop group Steps. It was released in the UK and Europe on 14 September 1998. The album charted at number two on the UK Albums Chart upon its release, going on to spend 64 weeks in the chart. In February 2000, the album was re-released in the US, containing songs from both Step One and its successor, Steptacular. Airto Moreira and Flora Purim, the legendary King and Queen of Brazilian Jazz, have captivated audiences for over six decades with their vibrant albums and exhilarating live performances. Avishag Cohen Rodrigues is an artist and musician based in New York. She broke out to the Tel-Aviv underground scene at age 18 with the guitar drum duo Laila. Since then she has been playing electric guitar with Ryskinder, Sloppy Jane, Cumgirl8. She has a forthcoming solo project where she plays too many of the instruments. She is currently an MFA candidate at Columbia University in the Sound Art Department.

In 2019 she released her first EP “One Winter One Hunter” with Baby Satan Records (Berlin). She has opened for major acts such as Dirty Beaches, Better Oblivion Community Center, Mac DeMarco, Psychic Ills, Deerhoof, Cloud Nothing, Night Beats, Wire, The Shivers.

Ezroh paints ethereal images of forgotten worlds through pan international sounds, chopped, crunched and spat out again into collages to be remembered. Blank Lux is his second outing under this moniker. His sound is reminiscent of the dusty and dirty sound of Madlib, Dabrye and Samiyam but honed in with a sound that reflects the echos of noises made in the deepest corners of the culutral melting pot we call home (earth).

The EP takes flight with the title track featuring 90s hip hop evangelists Blu & Exile, raw raps partnered with matching cuts. Track 2 continues this direction with Stonesthrow affiliated MED aka Medaphor for an even dirtier angle.. the ebbs and flows are dramatic yet poignant. LASMO is a Polish duo composed of Smolny and Lachowski, currently they taking bold steps in the world of techno music.

They made their first moves together on the native music scene in 2017. In April, they conducted and played on the TECHNO Conference in Lodz and continued on the second edition of Lodz Electronic Music Festival DOMOFFON, performing alongside Jonas Kopp, Anthony Rother, Dopplereffekt and others.

Big Crown Records is proud to present the debut full length offering from Les Imprimés, Rêverie. The stirring and ethereal sounds of Les Imprimés have been making fans of anyone who hears them since their first 7” single hit the speakers. Morten Martens is the man behind the band. Born, raised, and working in Kristiansand, Norway, he keeps a low profile while making his heartfelt, highly infectious, and unique music. This album is a long time coming for Martens and it is sure to make him a name to be reckoned with.

The first thing you notice listening to Les Imprimés is the high level of musicianship. Martens plays nearly every instrument on the recordings and handles the production and arranging. He has been making records for decades, winning a Spellemann Award (aka, the Norwegian Grammy) in 2006 for producing a Hip Hop album as well as getting nominations across three other genres. While awards and accolades speak to the level of his talent, this new album really shows who he is as an artist on his own terms.

Moving away from being a hired gun on the touring scene naturally led him to start doing more studio work. Slowly collecting gear and getting more experience behind the boards he built his own studio on the island of Odderøya and was making a living playing with and recording other people's music. As the story goes, after those sessions would end he would work on his own project into the wee hours of the night. From these late night sessions, Les Imprimés was born and Rêverie began to take shape.

However, "it wasn't until COVID, when things locked down, that I was really able to find the time to focus on Les Imprimés" Morten says about creating and leading his own solo project. "It was a scary time. But I knew I had to do something with it." He took the sum of his influences, combined them with his own vibe and got busy writing the music, playing the instruments, and singing the songs. "It's soul music, but I don't exactly have the soul voice," Morten explains humbly. "But I do it my own way, in a way that's mine."

It is his sound, his fingerprint, his sensibility, that makes his music hard to categorize. He has crafted an album of songs with different energies that all fit together to make one gorgeous record. The lead single “Falling Away” starts with a raw drum break and turns into a lushly arranged tune that paints the picture of love when it slips away. On “Still Here” he professes his resilience through life’s twists and turns over a thundering track that puts a new spin on the B side ballad genre. Songs like “You” and “Our Love” mix tones from 60s and 70s Soul with arrangement nods to Doo Wop records while Martens’ lyrics and delivery leave you singing the melodies long after they finish. “Love & Flowers” finds Martens in a moment of clarity with a song that fits the niche sub genre of happy break up tunes, the four on the floor track will move the dancefloor while the message will resonate with anyone who put too much effort into the wrong situation in their lives. However, it is songs like “Muse” and “Chess” that really encapsulate the uniqueness of Les Imprimés as they push the boundaries of genre, one a profession of love for music and the other a cover of an electronic record respectively. Martens’ lyrics, emotion, and delivery truly make the whole thing come together and stand out from any of his peers. There’s an infectiousness and a pop sensibility in the writing that is done with the utmost class and taste giving Les Imprimés the rare quality of immediate attraction that only deepens the more you listen.

Los Angeles wordsmith Pawz One teams up with German producer DJ Dister on the collaborative album "Watch & Learn" via Below System Records.

"Watch & Learn" captures scenarios of street life, hustling and paranoia all painted over well-crafted production. Pawz One has come off a string of recent releases that have sharpened his song writing ability while Dister has produced various projects expanding his diverse sound.

inner crises and many questions: Rustre describes a world in
which we are all networked and connected with each other
and simultaneously feel more and more alienated and
isolated. In his lyrics, he speaks of interpersonal
relationships that develop from mutual togetherness to
streamlined coexistence. He tries to escape the boundaries
of human language, within which shared names can still
refer to different concepts. But Rustre didn't just want to
show one side of the story and provides a constructive
alternative: questions, raised by the ¦rst part of the album,
are answered by the second part - Everything Is the New
Something. Here Rustre ¦nds himself, through acceptance
and self-e¨cacy: no matter how incapable we are of meeting
all the great challenges of our time on our own, we can still
change the way we ourselves deal with them, as well as our
perspective on them. Rustre negotiates between the
opposites of our time and creates two independent albums,
the full effect of which only unfolds when they are together.

On the A side we've got the quintessential anonymous producer Crue who provides heat with the very first cut on this record which is a peak time banger close to the techno and acid realm. Then, on the same side, a great Detroit deep house influenced track by Esperanza's label boss Kasper shows the infectious and deeper work for this broad release. On the flip side Cologne based producer Adryiano shows his huge talent again with an immense garage house cut made strictly for the dancefloor, with a delicious vocal and an impressive low end that will become an instant classic like his previous releases. Last but not least is Kirill Tipo, one of those hidden new names that are putting out amazing fresh music these days. With a track full of emotions and feelings, he managed to arrange all the elements growing steadily to fulfill the release with an captivating ending.
