A well-respected veteran of the dub techno scene Upwellings (Vincent Raude), is the star of this show for the label's prominent's chapter of releases. Upwellings is not alone thought! #9 features stunning remixes by household names with Bluetrain (Steve O'Sullivan) and Ohm & Octal Industries makes this is one of the must have releases in 2023.

In true Upwellings form, 'Lark Dub' is a brisk and polished track that has a friendly groove that should delight all listener's while Bluetrain turns the remix to a more 4x4 affair naturally injecting it with a house flair. 'Fed on Dub' is a more stark contrast as the alternate featured track. Addictive sequenced sound elements combust like a scientific experiment gone awry. A deep groove that pulses heavy in the sub range. Ohm & Octal Industries up the tempo in their version while still relishing in the signature sound effects. Adding a bit of a melody in spaces brings in a beautiful soundscape and atmosphere to the overall shimmering track. To have all these excellent producers in support on one release is a true treat. The fourth Exposure Series release is upon us. If you have not heard, the Exposure series is our signature compilation series that features multiple artists and is pressed on vinyl for the most discerning DJs and collectors. 'Linear Radiance' gathers together 4 extremely hot artists in the scene for one special 12'.

The EP begins with 'Raizel' by the hot newcomer Grush. This early set builder is smooth in the constraint it has rolling along in the sweet spot. A beautiful jaunt that is rich and fluid.

Next, is the amazing Philipp Priebe. 'So Glad' is another Priebe heater. A very talented producer, you can always count on him for great dancefloor business. The melody sneaks up on you as it builds from deep within. A sublime and subdued corker!

'Sonic Shadows' starts out on the B-side from skillful Nicolas Barnes. His contribution is a combination of a big club techno sound and a melodic flow that is almost reminiscent of some prime late 1990's progressive house.

Finally, is 'Grey Rythem' by Cirkel Square. Riding a catchy micro dub sound that is clever, fun, and surprisingly deeper than we could have ever hoped! All four tracks make for a healthy, well-balanced piece of wax!

One of the most radical musical pioneers of the 20th century, Sun Ra used jazz, electronics, poetry, and performance to expand the possibilities of sound, identity, and imagination. Commissioned by Omni Sound and curated by Ricardo Villalobos, the series brings together Underground Resistance, Chez Damier & Ben Vedren, Calibre, A Guy Called Gerald, She Spells Doom, Barış K, and Ricardo Villalobos himself. The two Portuguese-speaking African islands of Sao Tomé & Principe, located in the Gulf of Guinea, created an unique music called Puxa: a refined mixture of various musical components from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. A blend of Semba, Merengue, Kompas, Soukouss, Coladeira patterns, often pushing forward with a voodoo-like energy, solid bass lines, delicate melodies and backing harmonies of the rich Sao Tomean melodic traditions. INTEASE 003 is the result of the third Intease Contest. The idea is that a godfather imposes tracks/samples to the producers and that they do what they want with them and produce a track at the end.

Then, the jury makes a pre-selection, and the community of producers votes for its favorites. So here we have the track of the godfather Vitess who produced the track DewDew. The winners of the contest are Doublure, Palorim, Jake Scully and Yahzi.

Joseph nahm sich drei Jahre Zeit, um sich aus dem Rampenlicht zurückzuziehen und seine Geschichte zu finden. Er entschied sich dafür, der Ehrlichkeit seiner Kunst nachzugehen, anstatt aus seiner Karriere Kapital zu schlagen - mit Höhepunkten wie einem ausverkauften Headliner-Konzert im Londoner KOKO und einer ausverkauften Nordamerika-Tournee. ,Ich habe das Album einfach wie ein Gefäß behandelt und ständig Dinge aus meinem Leben hineingeworfen", sagt er. Von Walsall in die Welt hinaus zeigt ,Forever Ends Someday", dass Josephs Vermächtnis gerade erst begonnen hat.

A heavyweight classic! 'Don't Laugh' is one of those records, you know you've heard it, you may not who, what or where, but you know it!

The original Winx mix is a classic, often imitated, never bettered, but the real gem here is Richie Hawtin's manic, almost borderline sinister 15+ minute reworking.

Monster doesn't do it justice, tweaked out, narcotic, minimalist jacking gear. A dope combination of severe LOW end and some bracing sine waves that cut straight through. This one will surely test any club sound-system, if the venue is built for it you will know! This is one for the real heads, pure late night business oft overlooked for the more famous A-side, but trust us - Hawtin's mix will smash any dance! Oh, and there's an insane laughing acappella for those who want to mix and blend! Reissued, remastered and re-sorted for 2017 by Above Board Records with the full involvement of Nervous Records NYC.
