BONGO FURY wird 50! Die klassische Zusammenarbeit zwischen Frank Zappa und Captain Beefheart
im Mai 1975 führte zu einer Flut neuer Kompositionen, einer Tournee und schließlich zu einem Album.
Bongo Fury besteht hauptsächlich aus Live-Aufnahmen aus dem Armadillo Headquarters in Austin, Texas,
sowie einigen Studioaufnahmen aus dem The Record Plant in Los Angeles. Das Album ist eine denkwürdige
Ergänzung des Zappa-Katalogs und das letzte, auf dem der Bandname „Mothers“ zu hören ist, bevor dieser
1976 aufgegeben wurde.
