Edge Conditions is a fresh look at the beat-forward electronic music of Jeremiah Chiu. In Electric Time, his 2023 first-thought-best-thought album recorded at theVintage Synth Museum in LA, offered a glimpse a solo process and sound, fast becoming a fan favorite. In many ways this new work is a total reset. Following two ambient-leaning duo albums with Marta Sofia Honer and a pair of improvisatory trance-jazz LPs with LA quintet SML, Edge Conditions settles Chiu into a world of layered, alternately dance-able or chillout-able, rhythm excursions a la classic Four Tet or Aphex Twin.
