Without trying to revive any talk about a jungle revival, Akkord follow up to their self titled debut album on Houndstooth (which is simply titled by its catalogue number: HTH020) finds the duo changing tack a little, the EP is a move into darker realms, and finds Synkro and Indigo absorbing even more jungle influence into their productions

Mit HTH040 komplimentiert das Manchesteraner Bass-Duo Akkord seine nach Katalognummern benannte Miniserie. Diese besteht aus den beiden Vorgänger-Maxis HTH020 und HTH030, sowie dem CD-Minialbum HTH035, auf dem zwei zusätzliche Remixes von Fis (Triangle Records, Loopy) und Regis (Downwards, Sandwell District) enthalten sind, die dank grosser Nachfrage hier nun auch auf Vinyl erscheinen. Reinterpretationen der grandiosen HTH020 EP von Akkord. The Haxan Cloak (Tri-Angle Records) zaubern aus Elementen aller 4 Tracks der Original-EP ein darkes, 10-minütiges Masterpiece, das sich allen Soundklassifikationen entzieht. Hospital-Labelmacher Vatican Shadow knöpft sich die beiden Tracks "Typeface" und "Greyscale" vor und vereint sie zu einem bedrohlich-komplexen Techno-Trip.
