Lorelle Meets The Obsolete return with their seventh album. It's the Mexican duo's finest, most ferocious work to date which sees them turbo-charge their psychedelic post-punk with a new electronic engine. Mixed by Antoine Goulet (live sound engineer for SUUNS) and mastered by Mikey Young (Eddy Current Suppression Ring), the most obvious comparison in terms of mood and mode is Primal Scream's classic XTRMNTR, another record that processed personal and political conflicts and spat them out as distorted dance music. It shows the influence of the duo's DJ sets and last year's radical Remezcla remix collection on their way of thinking and why they are now namechecking the likes of Moor Mother, MF DOOM, Patrick Cowley, The Bug, Paula Garcés, Phil Kieran, Coby Sey, Run the Jewels and Anadol."Playing other artists' music is different," says Lorena Quintanilla about the change of direction towards the dancefloor. "You're not just listening, you're watching how energy flows and how it affects other people. It gives you the chance to witness what moves other bodies." And Corporal, as the title suggests, is all about the body. "The body is what carries the weight of stress, exhaustion, sadness. It's the body that the system breaks first," explains Lorena. "Unintentionally, while composing the album, our bodies were seeking joy in the songs. Reconnecting with pleasure became a way to open new dimensions - a way to escape, yet remain present." The theme is carried over into the lyrics which, according to Lorena, variously refer to "the bodies that disappear, the abused bodies, the bodies we miss, the bodies that march together in protest, the bodies that are being controlled".

“Arde” is the creative peak of the Madrid-based experimental collective: 14 cinematic, hypnotic, and emotionally devastating songs that masterfully blend post-rock atmospheres, alt-folk introspection, traditional Spanish elements, and complex, often cathartic arrangements.
The album's UK connection is through Stuart David (Looper, Belle & Sebastian), who championed the band to Sub Pop, leading to their international breakthrough. On Metacritic, it holds a 77/100 score based on 6 reviews, with AllMusic praising its "spectacular balance of beauty and tension”. CMJ New Music Monthly highlighted it as "one of the brightest artistic lights in the diverse Iberian indie-pop scene".
Pitchfork awarded it a 9.3/10 in 2001—the highest score for any Spanish artist to date—describing it as “nothing short of elemental in its beauty”. The album also succeeded in France (PopLane, 2001), with strong coverage in Les Inrockuptibles, Magic!, Le Monde, and Libération. Migala shared stages with key acts like Smog (Bill Callahan), Mark Kozelek (Red House Painters), The Magnetic Fields, Damon & Naomi, and served as Will Oldham’s (Bonnie “Prince” Billy/Palace) backing band during his Spanish tour in 1998.
This new edition has been painstakingly remastered from the original Cubase projects (summer/fall 2000). Every track was exported individually and given a fresh, zero-compromise mastering. The result is a significantly clearer, more open, defined, and powerful sound — especially in the rhythmic foundation — while fully preserving the warm, organic lo-fi character of the original. An absolute must-have for indie, post-rock, alt-folk, and collector sections — a genuine classic that belongs in every serious record store and deserves rediscovery.

NEHRUVIANDOOM is Bishop Nehru's debut album. Produced by Metal Fingers and featuring MF DOOM vocals on several tracks, it's a compact nine track, 30 minute long player.

Bishop Nehru's breakthrough mixtapes, released from the age of 15 saw him rhyming over DOOM produced instrumentals. DOOM joined the line of MCs who co-signed the young rapper including heavyweight lyricists Kendrick Lamar and Nas, who introduced him on stage during his set at SXSW as 'The future of music'.

Still only 17, Bishop has wrapped up his debut album for Lex, a collaborative project with MF DOOM.

Ed Sánchez-Gómez is a Costa Rican-born artist now based in Evanston, Illinois (USA). After a complex relationship with classical guitar at the University of Costa Rica, travels through Europe and Argentina (where he absorbed South American folk), and improvisation studies in Chicago, he has forged a deeply personal sound. Born from profound grief and the global pandemic, “Obras de misericordia” is an intense, moving acoustic album that blends artisanal shoegaze with infinite noise-pop harmonies, Latin folk textures (charango, mandolin, hammered dulcimer) and the languid beauty of John Martyn, The Declining Winter and the Elephant 6 Collective. It explores sounds beyond the guitar — adding musical saw, piano, violin, viola and cello — creating landscapes that shift between introspection and catharsis. It is the most hi-fi lo-fi album you will ever hear. Recorded by Ed between January 2022 and March 2024 in Evanston, IL and Peru, IN; mixed by Abel Hernández (Migala, El Hijo) and mastered by Santiago Quizhpe (Pullpush Studio, Madrid).
Influences from UK shoegaze/post-rock pioneers like Hood, and Disco Inferno add layered, atmospheric depth, connecting to the genre's British revival scene.

Akusmi is the project moniker of French-born, London based composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer Pascal Bideau, who signs to the new Tonal Union imprint for the release of his album 'Fleeting Future.' With its hallucinatory, genre-defying blend of minimalism, cosmic jazz and Fourth World influences, and in its quest for optimism in the face of unknown and limitless possibility. 'Fleeting Future' stands apart as an inventive and inspirational debut.

The creation of the album's richly colourful and multi-layered sound world was originally inspired by Bideau's journey to Indonesia, where he immersed himself in traditional Gamelan and gong music. Many of the themes, motifs and melodies on 'Fleeting Future' seed from the 'Slendro' scale, one of the essential tuning systems used in Gamelan. However it is not musical scales, but scales as in the size or extent of things that most fascinates Bideau, specifically he explains; "the compelling way things dramatically change when you shift from any given scale to another."

The album connects directly to nature and the wider world in its evocation of perceptive shifts and transitions from microscopic to macro scale, as evidenced by the opening title track 'Fleeting Future', on which a simple dotted saxophone line morphs and billows into synths, brass and strings, indicating the musical voyage that lies ahead. Like the start of a journey or adventure it is full of anticipation, its arborescent growth conveying the optimism of the unknown and of limitless possibility. The album centrepiece 'Neo Tokyo' is a vibrating, ebullient mass of colliding elements which feels like zooming in to the electron level, as it teeters on the edge of chaos. The title is a reference to Katsuhiro Otomo's Akira, a dizzying work of art set in a sprawling futuristic metropolis.

'Yurikamome', meanwhile, is an imaginary soundtrack inspired by Bideau's yearning to visit Japan which he fuels by watching Youtube videos of drives and rides through Japanese landscapes and cities. "It's amazing" he adds, "that we have the ability to access almost anywhere in the world and see what it's like, that people document it and upload it. It's never going to be any replacement for the real thing, but with places that really touch you, it works." The track is named after a Japanese monorail train line which rides from Shinbashi to Toyosu, a last journey that feels like a new beginning.


'Fleeting Future' was composed and recorded by Bideau between 2017 and 2019 in his North London studio and features additional contributions recorded in Berlin by Florian Juncker (trombone), Ruth Velten (saxophone) and regular collaborator Daniel Brandt of Brandt Brauer Frick (drums / electronic percussion). Having been living through uncertain times, one thing that keeps spiralling into the unknown is the future, about which Bideau leaves us with a final thought:

"The future is fascinating: It is constantly readjusting to new events. I feel we left a linear approach to the future to enter an arborescent one where all the data and information we have about what could happen is exponentially ever-growing. Following a branch might allow you to glimpse into what it may become, but the evolution of the whole picture might very well render the prediction totally obsolete, and even meaningless. In that sense, there is not one future but innumerable ones all cancelling each other. That's what makes it fleeting."

The single "Die Digitale Welt Der Anderen" by Voigt & Voigt picks up where the album "Die Zauberhafte Welt Der Anderen" ended in 2013. Elsewhere. An album like a movie. A fantasy blockbuster that has once again shown that the straight (techno) bass drum knows no borders in Voigt's universe. A friend of mine told me he had visited the place that Cancer House live and record.He said they jammed together all afternoon. In the moment, in the zone so to speak,he became more and more convinced that what they were making together was thebest music he had ever been involved with. As the afternoon drifted by, second byrevelatory second, he began making grandiose plans to release the recording. By the timeit was dark outside the windows he imagined it as a future lost classic, a key livedocument of a scene, a moment and an aesthetic. He thought about all the recordshe loved. He thought about the great, little known, statements of lo-fi, downer indie:dark, sweet, crawling guitar music by bands like Farewood, Bedhead, UN, orThe Sonora Pine. He could even picture the sleeve down to the last detail.

Katz Mulk's ''All the mess'' is a collection of songs about playing and play-work, recorded between 2023-25 in Glasgow and Tokyo. Developed from performances across the UK and during a residency at Xevarion Institute in Hong Kong, with dancers, costume design by Mary Hurrell, and mobile speaker design by Chris Ball. Slithering breath, crackling synths, dented gongs, and dub loops pull songs into unexpected, unsettling patterns, like being a kid again but with more electronics.

Soul legend Gwen McCrae’s All This Love gets a fresh dancefloor reinterpretation from Tokapi Disco Team, the German production duo known for their work with million-selling act Sash!. Ben Liebrand adds his signature touch with extended groove-driven edits, crafted with DJs firmly in mind. Tokapi Disco Team blends a warm, rounded kick with subtle percussion and a light shuffle that keeps the rhythm flowing effortlessly. A rolling, funk-inflected bassline locks in with Chic-inspired piano chords, while tasteful disco strings lift the arrangement throughout. Pioneering in his approach to digital sound and its materiality, Alva Noto (Carsten Nicolai) began his ongoing exploration of sampling, degradation and recontextualisation with the Xerrox series in 2007. Over the years, the project has evolved into one of the most distinctive bodies of work in contemporary electronic music, situated between minimalism, experimental sound art and digital abstraction.

Across five albums, Xerrox Vol.1 (2007), Xerrox Vol.2 (2009), Xerrox Vol.3 (2015), Xerrox Vol.4 (2020), and Xerrox Vol.5 (2024), Nicolai's method evolves from sample-based work toward original composition as he deconstructs and reassembles source material into precise, sculpted sound worlds that are at once minimal and emotive.

Remastered in collaboration with Bo Kondren of Calyx Mastering, the Xerrox recordings of Volumes 1, 2, and 3 are made available alongside Volumes 4 and 5 on vinyl and CD under the title 'reMASTER', presented in a beautifully designed box featuring original artwork by Carsten Nicolai.

Tom Jenkinson, alias Squarepusher, präsentiert Kammerkonzert – ein Feuerwerk aus messerscharfen, rasend schnellen Riffs, teuflischen Orchesterklängen und rasanten Wendungen, das Progressive, Ambient, elektronische und experimentelle Musik vereint.

Der einzigartige Hardcore-Rave-/IDM-Produzent, experimentelle Musiker und Schöpfer futuristischer Fusion-Formen blickt auf ein 30-jähriges Schaffen mit einer Vielzahl herausragender Alben zurück. Von dem furiosen Breakbeat-Acid und dem brachialen Live-Bass-Angriff auf "Feed Me Weird Things" (1996) über das selbsterklärende "Music For Robots" (2014) bis hin zum virtuosen Live-Showcase "Solo Electric Bass 1" (2009) und dem entrückten Concrète-Jazz von "Ultravisitor" (2004) – nur wenige zeitgenössische Musiker haben ein so breites Spektrum an Musik so souverän abgedeckt.
