We’re thrilled to announce the 10th release from our label, Atangana Records! After over eight years since we began, we’ve come a long way. We’ve had numerous music releases whilst focusing on preserving the Caribbean cultural heritage, which doesn’t get talked about enough.

With the creation of the association Sa Ka Touné, we’ve collected over 15,000 records and organized Tropical Clubbing events in Guadeloupe, where invited DJs dig through our association's collection before performing.

ATGN0010 Kadence-Kadance (with a K, not a C) is a tribute to our Creole roots, as it is written "kon sa." We wanted to emphasize this point.

Alex Dorothée Was Born In Guadaloupe, And Lived Between Paris And His Hometown. He Began His Musical Career As Part Of The Band: The Will Boy, Vautours And Les Junior De Paris. Composed, written and arranged by esteemed producer Alex Dorothée, this eponymous solo album of Meliza, an amateur singer hailing from Guadeloupe island, was recorded in 1984 in Paris. A Lo-fi, synth-heavy gem that is hard to categorise: Is it early Zouk? Biguine? Kadans? Calypso?
