'Promised Heights' festigte Cymandes Platz in der Musikgeschichte und enthält einige ihrer beliebtesten und häufig gesampelten Titel wie 'Brothers On The Slide'. Als Kinder der Windrush-Generation gehörten Cymande zur ersten Welle von Innovatoren und Gründern der jungen schwarzen britischen Musikszene.
