Ein Stück Bonsai Kitten Geschichte wird neu aufgelegt: Das lang ausverkaufte Debut-Album Done With Hell ist jetzt als streng limitierte und handnummerierte Collectors Vinyl-Reissue in Yellow-Red Splash endlich wieder erhältlich.Mit Songs wie "Don´t Mess With Me", "Virgin Suicide" und dem Titel-Track "Done With Hell" als Duett mit Köfte De Ville von MAD SIN, legte die Berliner Sängerin Tiger Lilly Marleen 2011 mit ihrer Band einen Senkrechtstart hin. Die musikalische Mischung aus Punkrock, ~Billy und Rock´n`Roll nannte die Kombo selbstbewusst Killbilly und sprengte seiner Zeit klassische Genre-Grenzen. Die Geschichte von Bonsai Kitten geht bis heute weiter, da Tiger Lilly Marleen ihre Band immer wieder neu erfand.Das Reissue wurde für die Wiederveröffentlichung aufwendig remastered und enthält zudem zwei exklusive Bonus-Tracks, die in aktueller Bandbesetzung mit Metal-Drummer Marc Reign (ex-Destruction), Bluesgitarrist Wally (u.a. Psychopunch), E-Bassist Spoxx (Feeling B) und Tiger Lilly Marleen neu aufgenommen wurden und so eine Brücke zwischen der früheren und heutigen musikalisch härteren Ausrichtung der Band schlagen.

Eine der dienstältesten, deutschen Oi-Punk Bands feiert ihr Jubiläum mit einem brandneuem Album… eigentlich haben sie es knapp verpasst: 41 Jahre HERBÄRDS, da darf man sich zurecht als "Alte Strassenköter" bezeichnen. 1982 gegründet, veröffentlichen die Stuttgarter mit "Eu se Bois" ihr Debutalbum, was zurecht bis heute als ungehobeltes, rotzfreches Kultalbum gilt. Das Nachfolgewerk "Wakos" bekam vom Label das Branding "German Oi Attacke" und nach einem schwerem Motorradunfall von Sänger "TEK" löste sich die Band auf, um kurz vor der Jahrtausendwende mit dem dritten Album "Wir sind zurück" reanimiert zu werden. 2017 dann ein neues Kapitel mit der Buchpräsentation und Ausstellung "Wie der Punk nach Stuttgart kam" und ein neues Lebenszeichen mit der Mini-LP "Oi! Oi! Oi!". Musikalisch "Back to the roots", begleitet von vielen Konzert- und Festivalauftritten, schrieben die Herbärds dann die neue offizielle Hymne des Eishockey-Teams "Stuttgart Rebels". "Alte Strassenköter" vereint alles, was diese Band ausmacht: Oi!-Punk der alten Schule, Texte direkt aus dem Bauch, der Szene und dem bewegten Leben…von Parole Spaß ohne Zeigefinger ("Rebels" / "Fußball Liebe") …mal fast als Selbsttherapie verpackte Hymnen wie ("Punk ist meine Therapie" / "Krüppel") …bis hin zu eindeutigem Klartext: ("Fass mich nicht an" / "Verraten und verkauft") . Und mit dem Offbeat versetztem Partyhit "Alte Männer tanzen nicht" beweisen sie genau das Gegenteil. Die HERBÄRDS sind sich selbst über die Jahrzehnte und ihren Fans gegenüber treu geblieben, ohne auf Trends oder den großen Markt zu schielen. Wenn Du eine der authentischsten, deutschen Oi!-Punk-Bands mit Rückgrat und klarer Kante hören willst und dabei auch noch jede Menge großartiger Szenehymnen, dann ist das ein klarer Anwärter für Deinen Plattenschrank.

Nach dem Ausstieg von Sänger Matti bei den "GUMBLES" beschlossen die übrigen Mitglieder das Erbe der seit über 20 Jahren erfolgreichen Band fortzuführen. Mit der Umbenennung in "Barney Army" (einen der kultigsten Gumbles-Lieder) und neuem Sänger (Paul von "Rotz & Wasser") meldete sich die Band 2020 mit der schnell ausverkauften Mini-LP "Ein kleines bißchen Oi-Punk" zurück. Drei Jahre später nun endlich ihr brandneues Album "BA positiv", denn den "Barney Army"-Virus wird man nicht so einfach los: Ein Dutzend neuer frenetischer Oi/Punk/ Hymnen leicht angereichert mit etwas Metal, perfekt eingebauten Leadgitarren und dem prägnanten neuem Gesang, der wie die Faust aufs Auge passt.Pogo-taugliche Gassenhauer treffen auf melodische Singalong-Hymnen von smart bis hart, die sich sofort in den Gehörgängen festsetzen. Read any article or comment thread about the Seattle noise-rock outfit GREAT FALLS and you're likely to see descriptors like cathartic, heavy, crushing, and unhinged. Maybe even psychotic. And sure, those are all apt: For over a decade, vocalist/guitarist Demian Johnston and bassist Shane Mehling (who also played together in the early-2000s noisecore band PLAYING ENEMY and the experimental duo HEMINGWAY) have honed their sludgy, overwhelmingly intense brand of heaviness, punctuated by delectably discordant riffs, terrifyingly low, thwacking bass lines, and mesmerizingly tight percussion. In the live setting, too, they’re notorious for a stage presence that is so aggressively confrontational and menacing that Mehling once broke his own arm mid-set.

But the most striking aspect of GREAT FALLS, setting them apart from the murky sea of sludge metal and AmRep-inspired noise-rock bands, is their ability to paint a deeply, utterly human story through an all-out assault on the senses: an art the band has perfected on their fourth full-length album OBJECTS WITHOUT PAIN, out September 15 via NEUROT RECORDINGS.

The album is not only their NEUROT debut, but also the first LP featuring drummer Nickolis Parks (GAYTHEIST, BASTARD FEAST), who joined the band prior to the release of their exhilarating, cacophonous 2023 EP,FUNNY WHAT SURVIVES.

OBJECTS WITHOUT PAIN takes us on a bleak, purgative journey through a separation–a snapshot of the turmoil and indecision that occurs after the initial realization of someone's misery, and before the ultimate decision to end a decades-long partnership. From the foreboding intro riffs of “DRAGGED HOME ALIVE” to the end of the 13-minute closer “THROWN AGAINST THE WAVES,” its eight tracks explore the thoughts that come up when a person is staring down the barrel of blowing up their life: How did this happen? Is it too late for a new life? Will the kid be OK? What will make me happier: familiar torment or unknown freedom?

Das war längst überfällig: The Headlines "In the end" erscheint zum ersten Mal endlich auf Vinyl. 2017 markierte das Album für die skandinavischen Punk Rocker The Headlines einen Wendepunkt, denn fortan übernahm die fantastische Sängerin Kerry Bomb das Mikro, während Mastermind Jake Lundtofte als Songwriter und Lead-Gitarrist den Sound weiter perfektioniert und prägte. "In the end" ist dabei nicht nur vom Titel auch 5 Jahre nach Erstveröffentlichung aktueller denn je: Kerry im Interview mit dem Pressure Magazine dazu: "Der Titel "In The End" ist unsere Antwort darauf, wo die Menschheit derzeit steht. Mit unserer Energie geht es dem Ende zu und der Planet zerstört sich mehr und mehr von Tag zu Tag selbst.

Auf intellektueller Ebene, sind wir irgendwie am Ende angelangt." Killah Priest’s Mystery Channel EP is his first release on 600 Block Records after his acclaimed features on Pugs Atomz’ Test Drive LP in 2022. The EP, coming on limited edition vinyl, features two original productions from Tusk57, an amazing Tall Black Guy Productions remix, and instrumentals of all three tracks. Tall Black Guy’s remix of Mystery Channel is a soulful jazzy take on the EP’s namesake, bringing his signature style to his first collaboration with 600 Block Records. From humble origins in Detroit, raised on a healthy diet of Motown, Jazz and early Hip Hop...Tall Black Guy has become a standard bearer for the current hip hop beats scene. Through a steady stream of productions filled with incredibly clever sample flips and deft production chops, he has won fans across the world, including Gilles Peterson, Lefto, Jazzy Jeff, Questlove and countless others. Killah Priest made his first appearances on such Wu-Tang side and solo projects as Gravediggaz’ 6 Feet Deep, Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Return to the 36 Chambers, and Genius/GZA’s seminal Liquid Swords. His contributions to those releases especially Liquid Swords’ “B.1.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth),” essentially a Priest solo track paved the way for the release of the MC's acclaimed debut album, 1998's Heavy Mental, and a lengthy and respected career in the hip-hop underground. In addition to his prolific solo work, he was an integral member of the groups Sunz of Man, the HRSMEN (aka the Four Horsemen), and Black Market Militia. About Tuskb 7 - A musician turned producer, Tusk57 brings a live feel to recording sessions and is most at home leading a band in front of a live audience. He is a multi-instrumentalist songwriter who has released multiple records under many other stage names in various genres, garnering critical acclaim including a Billboard hit. He is how based in LA and is using this moniker to develop a signature textured sound for hip hop and soulful music.

Pierre-Alain Dahan & Slim Pezin's Neo Rythmiques is an absolute KILLER Tele Music library classic from 1976. It's absolutely sensational throughout, all scorching, uptempo jazzy soul funk that Mr James Brown himself would've been envious of. This is serious business with breaks for days. French drummer, percussionist and composer Pierre-Alain Dahan was a key member of the legendary Arpadys, Disco & Co, Voyage, Tumblack (with Wally Badarou, Mallia et al!) and Jef Gilson Septet. With Neo Rhythmiques, he's joined by his eternal guitar colleague Slim Pezin (Voyage, Manu Dibango, Nino Ferrer), so you know this Be With reissue is fundamentally vital.

Opener "Soul Car" is a swaggering, horn-drenched jazz-funk beast whilst the slick JBs funk of "Happy Penalty" is just plain irresistible. Definitely influenced by American funk flavours, it stands alone on its own right as a brilliant piece of music, no question about that. The blazing "Kuzi-Kuza" is again horn-fuelled but has a more exotic, Latino feel, all loose grooves and bastard blues with funky organ and shredding guitars. The stomping, proto-disco of "Mercy Boa" is a guitar-sizzled Bohannon-esque hypno-groove for adventurous dance floors the world over. Outstanding. And if all that wasn't enough from one half of a 70s French library LP, the A side ends with the monumental, stratospheric "Slim Bertha"! I mean, what can you even say about this absolute monster?! Slo-motion, deep drama funk breaks with jazzy guitar and gleaming percussion. Just sensational.

Side B opens with "Country + Country", a rather forgettable slice of piano driven bluegrass funk (?!) Aaaaannyway, "Super Airship" follows and is a driving fuzz-guitar psych-rock workout of the highest order. We're back on track now. The brilliantly titled "Electronic Mutation" is a total highlight, the funk most definitely returning and, indeed, strong in this one with its deep clean breaks (with some particularly ace hi-hats), echoey effects and funky clavs. "Africa Semper" follows, all funky percussion, trippy echo and distorted, psychy guitar licks. To close out the set, "Neo Rythmiques 1 and 2" form a great salvo of top-tier, percussion-heavy synthy-funk-fusion. For our money, the bugged-out echoey space-soul of "N° 2" just about edges it.

One of the very best French drummers ever, Pierre-Alain Dahan began his career at the Blue Note in Paris with Sonny Stitt, Dexter Gordon and Daniel Humair. Some start, eh?!
