By the age of 10 he was already a local favourite winning local clashes and competition and at 15 he returned to London. Fast-forward to today and he is a soundsystem icon who is recognised for his authenticity, Mr Williamz 20 year career has seen notable collaborations with: Major Lazer, Shy FX, Mungo's Hi-fi, Green Lion Crew and Big Zeeks. ‘Crestone’ is the debut feature written and directed by
Marnie Ellen Hertzler in partnership with Memory.
Hertzler enlisted the pioneering experimental act
Animal Collective to compose the film’s score, a first
for the band.
Marnie Ellen Hertzler on the score: “The town of
Crestone is not only the location of the film, but also
an important character. I wanted a score that was able
to highlight and elevate its importance. There are no
musicians I’d rather work with more on this film, and
no band that can sonically describe a landscape better
than Animal Collective can.”
Set in the desert of Crestone, CO over the course of
eight days, ‘Crestone’ follows a group of SoundCloud
rappers who live in solitude, growing weed and
making music for the internet. When an old friend
arrives to make a movie, reality and fiction begin to
blur.
Animal Collective previously created the audiovisual
album ‘Tangerine Reef’ (2018) in collaboration with
Coral Morphologic, released ‘Transverse Temporal
Gyrus’ (2012) as the music for an installation at the
Guggenheim Museum alongside the visual work of
artist Danny Perez and released the visual album
‘ODDSAC’ (2010), also in collaboration with Danny
Perez. ‘Crestone (Original Score)’ is the band's first
film score.

LP GAZNEVADA: The end of the 1970s was an historical period of great social and cultural tensions and changes, the GAZNEVADA band was formed within this context. Their first recordings are collected in a K7 simply titled GAZNEVADA. Recognized by critics as the first publication of Italian punk rock, this production is a “time window” open to this historical period, it records intact the ingenuity and contradictions, but also expresses its creativity and energy. Released in 1979, the K7 GAZNEVADA, for the first time, is now re-released on vinyl

At the disco there is a mentasm... You will find me there..."
So begins Cornwallis' "At The Disco", a robot-voiced spoken word oddity released on Power Vacuum in 2015.
Power Vacuum is all about the mentasm: the mental orgasm, the moment when psychoactive electronics remould your grey matter into discombobulating new shapes, and when silliness, surreality, and playful aggression flip the sensible order of things upside down.

As one half of Phantom Horse, his long-serving electronic duo with Ulf Schütte, Niklas Dommaschk co-produces beautifully muted, Kraut-inspired jams that seem to soundtrack fictitious TV ads for wondrous imaginary household appliances, e.g. a calmly efficient, if slightly unsettling kitchen robot with an integrated lava lamp feature.
In contrast, Shapes cuts tracks down to size – nothing here is longer than five-and-a-half minutes. Also, Dommaschk has turned up the treble, the prominence of the higher frequency spectrum adding bite and menace to these deceptively simple synth polyrhythms.
Whereas opening track “Benzin” (German for “Petrol”) manages to conjure the paradoxical image of something or someone meandering with urgency, “Einzeller” (German for “single-celled organism”) channels a John-Carpenter-style pulse, complete with horror sound effects. “Interference” is a truly effective representation of the term, with piercing, but quiet tinnitus frequencies set above a beat as sparse as it is crunchy. “Two Stones”, by contrast, offers a kind of robotic wistfulness whereas closing piece “Energies of the mind” fizzes out like a jumble of toy keyboards attempting to score a science programme - and failing, but instead revealing some much grander emotional truth.
This is the sound of breaking some kind of inner lockdown, of turning inwards and then projecting parts of murky inner shadows outward, as well-defined and sometimes lurid shapes, individually clear, but still in the process of becoming organized into a complete whole. The unfinished is what excites us the most. May the shapes never find their slot in the jigsaw puzzle.
All songs by Niklas Dommaschk
Recorded between 2017 and 2020 in Berlin and Nijmegen

Max Graef and Julius Conrad are Ratgrave. ‘Rock’ is their
second album - ongoing transmissions of Electronic PFusion from Earth. It follows a stellar debut on Funkineven’s imprint Apron. The duo’s sound palette draws inspiration from 80's funk, soul, rock and electronic but through a contemporary lens from two versatile multiinstrumentalists.
In their own words: “Rock is the essence of energy and
vibration we felt in different styles of music, almost like a
parallel component connecting all things we like. In the
process of recording the new album we kept coming back
to this essence no matter what style the original idea was.
There was the raw and brutal energy of Jazz-Rock, a lot of
video game influences that somehow adhered this essence
just as well as quieter Pop and Psychedelic passages that
we recorded. Among other things we absorbed a lot of
heavy music during the time of the recording like Blue
Cheer, Black Sabbath, Frank Zappa or Jimi Hendrix and
realized while writing our own music how much impact
they had even on quieter songs. This is why ‘Rock’ felt like
the perfect title although the music ranges from P-Funk
and Spiritual Jazz to various styles of Pop and beyond.”
Max Graef has previously collaborated with Glenn Astro on
records for Ninja Tune and both artists have previously
released on Tartelet.
This marks the fourth official album on Black Focus, a
London label founded by Kamaal Williams.

„Pitcher“ is Nadia D’Alò’s very first solo appearance on vinyl. Playful forwarding drums running hand in hand with a laid back wuthering synth line, carrying her melting voice right in it´s fountain. „Benzin“ on the flip side is a much slower, charming impish early morning jam by INIT (D’Alò & Benedikt Frey), based on a simple 808 infrastructure that leaves space for weird guitar riffs, wavy vocals and a bassy undercoat.

Footjob is releasing its second various artists sampler called 'Footure Classics Vol.2'. The latest edition complies 5 tracks - traditionally genre-specific between house and disco. This time fresh names are presented besides the established suspects Sascha Ciminiera and Lukas Lehmann such as legendary Hans Nieswandt (Whirlpool Productions) as well as acclaimed DJ Friction from Benztown. Both debutants lend a helping foot in order to add two wonderful tunes. As if this would not be enough, the compilation is wrapped up with a very special trove from the archives of DJ Service.

Soundway present something completely different, they are pleased to announce another Dutch artist to their roster, Felbm.
Having previously released more electronic music under the moniker Falco Benz, the multi-instrumentalist Eelco Topper moves towards a more acoustic, instrumental and sketch-like approach with the Felbm project.
The two-part project is being released as 2 separate digital EPs ("Tape 1" and "Tape 2"), the first of which will be released on 21 September. The second digital EP "Tape 2" will be released on the same date as the vinyl, 26 October.
Recorded direct to two cassettes, which comprise each side of the vinyl album, the cover art also reflects this - with both sides of the sleeve acting as separate front covers.

World Music And Ethno Sounds With An Obvious Japanese Origin Meet Progressive Rock And Psyche. The Result Is A Captivating Piece Of Melodic And Deeply Atmospheric Music That Paints Pictures Of Life In Ancient Japan Into Your Mind When You Lay Back, Close Your Eyes And Listen Closely With Your Thoughts Turned Off. If Pink Floyd Were Japanese Their Music Might Have Sounded Like That. The Frequency Of The Arrangements On - benzaiten Reminds Of What Our English Heroes Have Created In The Early To Mid 70s Just With A Different Ethnical Approach. - benzaiten Is Even A More Progressive Effort Than Anything Most British Bands Have Ever Managed To Fabricate And Still Utterly Natural And Vivid Concerning The Flow Of The Music. All Participating Musicians Here Are Professionals And Their Performances Are Tight And Still Passionate. The Sound Is Warm And Vivid, The Song Structures Are Wide Open And Welcome You To Slip Inside. East Meets West On This Record And Osamu Kitajima And His Companions Really Grab You By The Soul. Electronic Elements In The Percussion Section Add Some Oddity To The Whole Musical Picture. Not Sure What Osamu Kitajima And His Band Intended When They Recorded This Record But I Am Certain They Achieved It. The Cool Aspect Of - benzaiten Is The Rocking Guitar Which Keeps The Whole Album Together. Must Be The Japanese Pendant To German Acts Like Amon Düül Ii, Embryo And Guru Guru. Well, There Is Definitely Some Truth In This Comparison. Anyway, This Album Will Enchant You!

New one on A Colourful Storm from soon-to-be-known artist Tackle. Insane breaks and bass programming over humorous sample placement. But there's nothing funny about it's take-no-prisoners approach. One of the heaviest releases we've heard in a long time. Fans of A Colourful Storm will recognise Grondman from Moopie's mix on Dommune late last year. Vital Sales Points: - Fourth release on Australian label A Colourful Storm - First release since 'Benzedrine', which was number 20 of Resident Advisor's 2016 top tracks - Premiered on Dommune in Tokyo last October. - Richie Hawtin's favourite artist. (Probably).

MF DOOM is the man in the iron mask.
