Nach dem ersten selbstbetitelten Langspieler von 2020 und einer auch durch die Covid-Pandemie erschwerten Phase des Haderns und der Findung, des Zusammenwachsens und Besinnung liegt nun - vier Jahre nach dem selbstproduzierten und in Eigenregie veröffentlichten Erstlings - das zweite, auf dem Krefelder Label ,Tonzonen Records` erscheinende Album ,Willow" vor, welches auch dieses Mal von Mitgliedern der Band aufgenommen und gemischt und durch ihr Idol Eroc zu einer vor Kraft, Atmosphäre und Selbstbewusstsein strotzenden "Produktion auf Weltniveau" weiterverarbeitet wurde. Die acht Songs vereinen die Einflüsse der fünf Bandmitglieder zu einer ausgewogenen Mischung: jeder Song steht für sich und zusammen ergeben sie doch ein Ganzes, was sinnbildlich verdeutlicht, wie sehr die letzten vier Jahre die einzelnen Individuen zu einer Einheit geformt haben. War der selbsbetitelte Erstling noch Blues- und Stoner-lastig, so sind auf ,Willow" die Einflüsse zahlreicher und die Spannungsbögen größer. Natürlich bleibt die Band ihrem Grundsound treu - Trotzdem treten neue Klangfarben zutage: Seattle in den 90er Jahren hat seinen Einfluss hinterlassen, schwedischer Schweinerock blitzt hier und da durch. Und auch das ein oder andere, mehrstimmige Gesangsarrangement scheint man aus den großen Stadion Rock Hymnen der 80s zu kennen. Das Ergebnis erscheint selbstverständlich nicht als billige Kopie, sondern als klare Hommage an die vielfältigen Einflüsse der Band.

Das in London gegründete und in LA lebende Duo Eli & Fur gehört zur Speerspitze der modernen House- und Techno-Szene. Fünf Jahre nach dem wahrscheinlich persönlichsten Album "Your Life Gets Crushed" gibt es neue Songs der Hardcore-Punks aus Coburg. Songs, die wieder politischer, wütender und angriffslustiger sind. Menschefresser meint hier emotionalen Kannibalismus, psychischer Druck, der ausgeübt wird, wie Menschen sich verhalten, Ellbogen auspacken wenn sie nur versuchen, sich ihren eigenen Vorteil zu verschaffen. Oder Menschen, die denken, sie wären der Mittelpunkt der Welt. RAWSIDE werden nicht müde, den Finger in die Wunde zu legen und sich mit korrupten Wirtschaftsbossen, selbsternannten Verschwörungstheoretikern, rechten Politikern oder stumpfen Wutbürgern anzulegen. Die 13 neuen Songs von RAWSIDE sind eine volle Breitseite, musikalisch kommt es laut und fordernd zwischen Hardcore, Metal und Punk daher. Die Wucht der Songs hat seit dem letzten Album ein neues Level erreicht. Das liegt vielleicht auch an der Frischzellenkur in der Besetzung. Sänger/Shouter Henne ist das einzig verbliebene Gründungsmitglied nach mehr als 30 Jahren Bandgeschichte. Seit Sohn Justin am Schlagzeug ist gerade mal 23 Jahre alt. "RAWSIDE ist zum Glück keine One-Man-Show", sagt Henne. "Das waren wir nie und wollen wir auch nicht sein. 2024 hat die Band beim LOIKAEMIE-Label Fettfleck angeheuert. "Für uns war es ein Schritt in Richtung Selbstverantwortung", erklärt Henne. Bei Fettfleck sind wir in alle Prozesse eingebunden. LP+7" (Clear Vinyl). When the Ramones lost it, the Zero Boys found it; Adding a slam brigade fist to the Blitzkrieg Beat. The Zero Boys managed to come with one of the best early 80's punk records, or one of the best records ever, period. From 1979 to 1983, the Indianapolis-based Zero Boys were the finest hardcore blitz in the Midwest if not all the lower 48 states. Compiled and released as a post-mortem following the band's breakup, History Of_ is the proof, if more was needed, that their take of American hardcore wasn't all white bread numbers. Yeah, they played shows with Minor Threat, Dead Kennedys, Subhumans, and others but in Terry "Hollywood" Howe's guitar there was harmonious terror and unstoppable cadence. Terry's licks and chops _ a leap beyond two or three chord punk _ offered a zone and measured count for drummer Mark Cutsinger and bassist David "Tufty" Clough, a rhythm unit in par with the Minutemen if not The Meters, to run lines like quicksilver. Meanwhile, frontman, Paul "Z" Mahern provides a constant wash from beginning to end. Originally released in 1984 with a limited-edition reissue in 2009, this 40th anniversary edition includes the original LP of `History Of...' and a 7" featuring four live recordings never previously pressed to vinyl and recorded at iconic hardcore/punk venue Crazy Al's in 1980: "Livin' In The 80's", "Stick To Your Guns", "Commies", and "I'm Absent".

Inspired by the Buddhist sutras, Blitzen Trapper’s radiant new album, 100's of 1000's, Millions of Billions, offers a captivating take on rebirth and transcendence, navigating its way through the space beyond dreams and reality, beyond gods and mortals, beyond life and death. The songs here are as sincere as they are surreal, rooted in rich character studies and deep reflection, and the production is intoxicating to match, blending lo-fi intimacy and trippy psychedelia into a mesmerizing swirl of analog and electronic sounds. Add it all together and you’ve got a gorgeous collection of stripped-down bedroom folk wrapped in lush layers of synthesizers and washed out electric guitars, a poignant, expansive exploration of perception and purpose that manages to look both forwards and backwards all at once. This LP is pressed on clear blue vinyl and limited to 1,000 copies worldwide. Launched roughly two decades ago in Portland, OR, Blitzen Trapper broke out internationally with 2008’s Furr, which cemented their status at the forefront of the modern indie folk revival. Faithful to the essences, the band of the only Ramone still standing trims all the fat off the originals and makes every second count. High voltage. DESCRIPTION Marky Ramone needs little introduction. The only Ramone still standing was born in 1952 in Brooklyn and joined the band in 1978, replacing Tommy, and remained with the Ramones until they disbanded in 1996 (with a 1983-1987 hiatus due to personal problems). He is a restless person and has never stopped recording and performing live, either solo (MR & the Intruders, MR & the Speedkings) or in projects and collaborations (Joey Ramone, Teenage Head, Tequila Baby, Wardogs...). MARKY RAMONE'S BLITZKRIEG is the name of the band with which he has been touring the world for 15 years celebrating the Ramones' legacy, as well as adding some own-penned songs and some covers of other iconic punk rock bands to his repertoire. Over the years the line-up has varied, but in recent times the band has consolidated its position on stage with the resounding presence of Vitoria-Gasteiz's own Iñaki Urbizu "Pela" (La Excavadora, Victima's Club) as frontman and vocalist, and the Argentinians Marcelo Gallo and Martín Sauan (Expulsados) on guitar and bass. So, the time seemed right to transfer all the energy generated live to a 10" plastic EP. Four versions fresh out of the oven. Three tracks under two and a half minutes and one just over three minutes. True to the Ramones essence, they remove all the fat that was left over from the originals and make every second count. The Gentrys' "Keep On Dancing" opens the selection. The original track reached number four in the US charts in 1965 and, after passing through the hands of MARKY RAMONE'S BLITZKRIEG, classic Ramones covers like "Do You Wanna Dance" inevitably come to mind. The idea is easy, speed up the original a bit, in 4/4, and then play it faster. The hard part is that the result is so exciting and energetic. "It's Not Unusual", the Tom Jones hit, becomes maximum fun. The familiar, catchy tune is elevated to a whole new level of energy and intensity so that the chorus can be belted out loud. The Beatles' "Octopus's Garden", originally composed and sung by Ringo Star, is transformed into a playful punk-pop song to escape, if only momentarily, from the worries of the earthly world in the backdrop of a bar with a good sound system. Closing "New York, New York", the classic song from the Frank Sinatra songbook, celebrates New York City. It fits perfectly with Marky's identity as a native of the city, rooted in its culture and spirit, capturing the vibrant energy and rebellious attitude of the city that never sleeps. Some can cover hundreds of different songs and make them their own, and others can't. MARKY RAMONE'S BLITZKRIEG, like their originators, are certainly one of those who can. The band is just as comfortable with a colossal song as they are with a ditty, it's all about electric atmosphere and chemistry and, on each of these new recordings, the voltage is very high. One euro from the sale of each record will go to the victims of war. Stop the war!

Seit über 20 Jahren zeigt diese chinesische Punkband der Obrigkeit den Stinkefinger. Derkompromisslose Sound wurde schnell über das Reich der Mitte hinaus bekannt und erreichte Europa und die USA. Nach nur 2 Alben, 10jähriger Pause und Best Of-Compilation erscheint nun endlich das dritte Studioalbum und es wurde verdammt nochmal Zeit! Ein Highlight der Bandhistory war der Auftritt 2009 als Special Guests auf der Chinatour von Sham 69. Kein Zufall, denn The NONAME liefern besten 80er UK Punk mit blitzschnellen Beats und eingängigen Refrains. "Believe In Chaos" klingt wie ein Tribute an The Clash, aber es geht auch härter und heftiger. Urgesteine der alternativen Musikszene aus aller Welt unterstützen die Chinakracher mit ihren Impulsen und bringen neue Nuancen ein. "Waiting For The Day" entstand zusammen mit der antifaschistischen spanischen Punkband Non Servium , die schon ihr 25-jähriges Bestehen feiern konnte. Die seit 2003 existierende Street Hardcoreband Acidez aus Mexiko rütteln mit "Anti" auf gegen Rassismus und fordern kreativen Widerstand. Aus Amiland kommen Big D & Kids Table, gegründet 1995, die bei "Scream To The World" besten Bostoner Skapunk beisteuern. Sie liefern zurmusikalischen Faust in die Fresse einen Sprechgesang mit fast poetischem Text. Melodiöser gehts bei "Warrior Of Faith" mit der Pariser Punk und Powerpop-Band "The Choices" zur Sache. Hymnenartig verarbeiten die schwedischen Streetpunks Perkele aus Göteborg, 1993 ins Leben gerufen, bei "Go Down In History" ihren Oi! zum Kampf gegen Unterdrückung. Kein Titel könnte besser zu den Songtexten passen als "Fortress Besieged". Ein schon marodes Unrechtsregime wird solange belagert bis es zusammenbricht. Der Aufruf zum Aufstand ist ein Schrei nach Veränderung und Freiheit aber auch eine Feier der Lebensfreude in einem chaotischen und aufregenden Dasein. Wer dieses Album versäumt verpasst ein Stück Punkgeschichte.

Citing sources from early Dub influenced Clash, Blitz and The Modern Lovers - Spiritual Cramp exist in a strange vacuum somewhere between David Byrne's oversized suit and a bar fight between a bunch of drunk goons on Polk Street in SF. Hate for the police, the government and the status quo are reoccurring themes in Bingham's lyrics. The sounds borrow from the past, echoes of late 70's / early 80's working class rock and punk, which function on the upbeat, showcasing very bright guitars yet generating darker vocal rhythms and darker patterning.
