Back in 1991, after the demise of their much beloved and still influential first band, Operation Ivy, founding members Tim Armstrong (vocals, guitar) and Matt Freeman (bass, vocals) decided to do the impossible — start an even better band. Arriving following 2020's 'Mercy', the new LP is released February 3rd 2023 on the group's new label home Fuzz Club Records and marks a return to the more scuzzy and abrasive rock ploughed over their decade and a half spent coursing through the grimy sewers of NYC. Here, nocturnal proto-punk meets a timeless, all-guns-blazing rock'n'roll gusto. That the album leans into a more primitive, back-to-basics sound owes largely to the way in which was forged, an earlier version of the record scrapped in favour of four people playing in a room together. "The New York City album was revised, reorganized and shaped until it became clear that things fall into place like the hammer driving the nail or the scythe's swipe through the tall grass." The end result is a series of cuts played live and recorded to 2" tape in Travis Harrison's (Guided By Voices, Built To Spill) Brooklyn studio. 'New York City' is a record that doesn't stop moving for a second, packed full of the kind of energy you can only really capture in a live setting. "These songs became the blood of the band as the band could only exist for and of these songs. There was no place else to hang their hats. Without making this record, the group would not exist, so there really wasn't another option. NYC is fluid. It means a lot of different things to all kinds of people. Originally released in 1996, Come's third album 'Near Life Experience' was the sound of a band heading into new territory, refining their dense mix of hypnotic noise-rock, blues and rock'n'roll song-writing. Lovingly remastered, this new version features three incredible bonus tracks 'Prize', 'Strike', 'Hurricane II' stemming from the same era, additional liner notes and photographs. After Come's seminal 1994 release 'Don't Ask Don't Tell', bassist Sean O'Brien and drummer Arthur Johnson left the band to pursue other careers. Remaining members Chris Brokaw and Thalia Zedek recorded Near Life Experience with two different rhythm sections: one half of the album was recorded with drummer Mac McNeilly of the Jesus Lizard and Bundy K. Brown of Tortoise and Gastr Del Sol, the other half recorded with Kevin Coultas and Tara Jane O'Neil of Rodan and The Sonora Pine. Other contributors to the album included Edward Yazijian from Kustomized and Jeff Goddard from Karate, both rock bands hailing from Boston, MA. The title of the album resulted from "a slip of the tongue, as Zedek states, she "was telling someone she had had a 'near life experience,' but meant to say near death experience. Chris [Brokaw] was cracking up at the imagery of that. Thus, the phrase was chosen as the album's title. "Near-Life Experience is heavier, and at the same time prettier, than Come has ever sounded." CMJ New Music Monthly. "Come is a re-energized, even more powerful band than they used to be, and Near Life Experience is their most concise and affecting release yet." All Music. Zedek and Brokaw might have compensated the loss of band members by recruiting new blood but the reward was huge, 'Near Life Experience' is Come's most cinematic, diverse and accessible album.

The 1st album released in August 2021 attracted attention in the overseas scene, and labels from various countries such as Italy, Argentina, US and Poland. More release realized. Only half a year after that, they completed the remarkable 2nd album. Based on the royal road doom sound and the music with the blues feeling derived from 70's, the band ensemble with more euphoric feeling gets a lot of attention. A full lineup of songs such as "Devastator", which freely grooves from a side-beating beat to double bass, and "Agua De Vida", which enhances smoke and trip feeling under the direction of Mr. Okazaki. In the mellow "Underneath the Sky" and "Running In my Vein", the taste that has withered moderately is impressive. With the help of an effectively crafted album composition, it can be argued that they have reached the next level in this work. Don't miss the further leap of "Tokyo samurai doom" !!

Jack Vegas is the sixth album by Swedish electro/post punk outfit Agent Side Grinder. It marks the band’s first exploration of American culture, drawing heavily on the beatnik-era works of Jack Kerouac and William S. Burroughs, as well as the proto-punk and avantgarde movements — while maintaining a contemporary storytelling perspective.

The American dream becomes a symbol for escape from a Europe ravaged by pandemics, war and financial instability. Lyrical themes revolve around boredom, resilience, government and corporate intrusion, and mental health — with the occasional glimmer of light. It’s a drum machine-driven road movie, plotting its course through the desperate heart of rural Sweden.

The name Jack Vegas’ is derived from a Swedish chain of low-stakes slot machines.

The album has been produced by former ASG member Henrik Sunbring, and recorded in Stockholm during 2022.

Genre-wise Agent Side Grinder has always existed in some kind of twilight zone. Deeply rooted in early electronic and industrial music as well as proto- and post punk, their sound is driven by iterative, suggestive beats and sudden bursts of untamed ferocity, built on equal parts dissonant samples and elegant melodies.

John, Taj Mahal has throughout his career pushed the envelope of American
music forward by incorporating sounds from the Caribbean, Africa, traditional
blues and jazz. He has won 3 Grammys from 15 nominations, was inducted into
the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame, and presented with a Lifetime Achievement
Award from the Americana Music Association.
With 'Savoy', Taj takes a new direction in his musical journey, exploring classics
from the American songbook with his good friend and acclaimed record producer
John Simon, whose resume includes producing classic albums by The Band,
Leonard Cohen, Gordon Lightfoot and Blood Sweat & Tears. 'Savoy' is the
realisation of a musical collaboration they had been planning for decades, finally
