The iconic global pop star Charli XCX, announced CRASH, her highly-anticipated forthcoming album, releasing 18th March 2022. She also released ‘New Shapes’ featuring Caroline Polachek and Christine and the Queens.

The announcement of CRASH followed her latest single, ‘Good Ones’, a track signalling a new chapter for Charli in which she embraced all that the life of a pop figurehead has to offer in today’s world.

Producers and collaborators include A. G. Cook, George Daniel, Deaton Chris Anthony, Lotus IV, Caroline Polachek, Christine and the Queens, Oscar Holter, Digital Farm Animals, Rina Sawayama, Ian Kirkpatrik, Jason Evigan, Justin Raisen, Ariel Rechtshaid, Ilya, Oneohtrix Point Never, Jon Shave and Mike Wise.

In addition, Charli XCX revealed a European and North American tour, with shows in Los Angeles, London, Paris and more. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday 12th November, with ticket presales beginning Wednesday 10th November.

The album ‘Romeo’ explores Sega Bodega’s relationship
with his fictional girlfriend, Luci (after Lucifer: bringer of
light), who is a being made entirely from light.
 Featuring some of Sega’s best production work to date,
with a few real sonic curveballs. His vocal performance
is brought more to the forefront than ever before.
 The album shows Sega really coming into himself as a
multifaceted artist and independent great after a couple
of years of building a solid core fanbase and producing
for some impressive names in the alternative space
(from Shygirl to Caroline Polachek, for instance).
 ‘Romeo’ features guest appearances by acts including
Arca and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
 Previous press support for Sega comes from Dazed,
L’officiel (cover), Fader, Office Mag, NME, DIY, i-D plus,
at radio, Annie Mac (Radio 1), Matt Wilkinson (Apple
Music 1) and Nemone (6 Music) have previously
championed Sega’s work.
 Born in Ireland, raised in Glasgow and now based in
London, producer, performer and labelhead Sega
Bodega - aka Salvador Navarrete - has built a reputation
as being one of the UK’s most innovative and precocious
creative minds.
 Inspired as much by his close network of peers as his
love of cinematic soundscapes, Sega has made impacts
spanning across music, fashion and film, soundtracking
some of the most important cultural moments in recent
years, as well as building a catalogue of prolific and
critically acclaimed solo releases that traverse genre,
style and composition.

The Tipping Scale is a gorgeously sung cycle of songs that mix deeply personal lyrics with universal themes; Kinlaw is a smart, conceptual writer, one not afraid to explore deep emotions like loss, regret, and confusion, alongside strength, identity, and change. She explains that The Tipping Scale is an ideal metaphor for the record, the idea of an ever-present slipping in and out of change, and an acceptance of this kind of change. On it, she unravels intimate memories and tries to learn from them. As you listen to her songs and decode her words, you realize she's not just building songs, she's also creating a home_where painful thoughts of the past can exist within the present_as well as an entirely new, unflinching universe. This universe she created is not metaphorical_it's, in fact, very real. Kinlaw, who often works with gesture and movement as a writing tool, found The Tipping Scale unifying her multidisciplinary practice. She found it by building a real world. As she wrote, with the goal of finding human entry points for storytelling that felt authentic and honest to her practice, she often saw the music relating to motion. "I would start with a gesture and let it build into something until a memory attached itself to it," She explains. "The memory would become a story and the story would reveal itself as something important that needed to be expressed in this album." This works, too, for the lyrical process, where harder and less smooth gestures would represent consonants, and smooth, flowing movements would become vowels. She found the same thing happening with melodic lines and key changes. This is a record that jolts between the corporeal and the psychological, drawn from a flailing body, anchored by inconvenient truths. La vita nuova - a prospect for a new life - draws strength from extreme vulnerability. Produced by Christine and the Queens and Ash Workman, the EP is out now on all digital platforms via Because Music, and available to pre-order on CD and vinyl editions. La vita nuova arrives with an accompanying short film of the same name, imagined by Christine and featuring the EP’s five new songs in as many sequences. The 14-minute film is an inward journey that sees the artist invest Opéra Garnier, the world-famous Paris opera house, filling it with stories of ghosts and mythical creatures. Through the lens of long-time collaborator Colin Solal Cardo (Robyn, Charli XCX) and with choreography by Ryan Heffington (VMA Award 2014, Grammy Award nominated), Christine and her dancers appear in succession on the Opéra rooftop, its grand stage and most secret recesses, culminating into a feverish moment with Caroline Polachek, a collaborator on the EP’s title track.
