Alan Parsons Project second studio album "I Robot", widely regarded as one of the greatest concept albums of all time, is re-issued in a variety of different formats including a classic black vinyl, half-speed remastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road studios. The album was originally released in July 1977, and draws conceptually on author Isaac Asimov"s science fiction Robot stories, exploring philosophical themes regarding artificial intelligence. The album was a worldwide hit selling in excess of two million copies, achieving platinum and gold status in numerous countries including the USA, Germany, Australia and Canada. 180gm heavyweight black vinyl. Born in 1934, Freddie King was nicknamed “The Texas Cannonball,” and his powerful guitar playing could certainly knock you flat. In the late 1960s,
a fan and fellow musical king – King Curtis – brought Freddie into the Atlantic Records for a pair of fine albums.

Jay-Jay Johanson is one of the big names from the thriving Swedish electronic pop scene of the early 2000s. Jay-Jay's interesting
and four decade long career has resulted in a real cult following and interesting collaborations with Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins) and The Knife.

In 2002 he had his first real hit single in Sweden with "On the Radio".

"The twentieth Altered Circuits entry comes courtesy of Attack & Disperse, the moniker Cooper runs in parallel with his Reflex Blue project. It focuses on darker, deeper moods, with a hardware-based, imperfection-embracing approach--and sits on the axis of electro, Detroit techno, and progressive. DiscoNnect revolves around a murky, slightly unstable bass with strong sub presence and a thickly accented vocal sample. Distorted synth brass interludes enable the bare-bones sections to punch as hard as they do. Higher Places works with the same energy, but channels it in a bolder way thanks to its snappy palette. The tune is indebted to the after hours, yet carries enough crossover appeal to set off any club setting. On Power Of Overthink the current shifts somewhat toward the effervescent. Its flanged square lead is surrounded by fidgetty arps and acid squelches, and feels sturdy enough to carry a dozen tracks' weight. I Jahbar, G Sudden, Buddy Don & RDL Shellah representing Portmore, Jamaica's DUPPY GUN meet Lyon's Warzou, where each vocalist tee up a track off Warzou's mutant inspirations of the 94' Corduroy Riddim.

Cooked up at Record Studio Congos in Portmore, the Duppy vocalists go to town on the pressured & twisted dancehall excursions, referencing one of the most important riddims of the 90s. The DG collective have been making waves over the past two decades and this recent collaboration is another inter-continental link up of the highest order.

The Reds, Pinks & Purples is a San Francisco indie band led by Glenn Donaldson (The Ivy Tree, Skygreen Leopards, Art Museums and Painted Shrine). 'Toxic Friend' is from the book of the TVP's Daniel Treacey with an upbeat chorus that smacks of all that was good in old school indie in a hail of fuzzy logic and guitars. From humble beginnings as a home recording project, The Reds, Pinks and Purples has blossomed into a sporadic live unit with tours on both sides of the Atlantic and appearances at Pitchfork Fest London and Woodsist Fest as well as support slots for indie legends such as Destroyer, Guided By Voices, and The Feelies.
