Es spricht für die Qualität dieser Veröffentlichung, dass sich diese inspirierten Interpretationen mit den Originalen von Burning Spear und Dennis Brown messen können. Released on Cherry Red in 1981, Threat To Creation spotted the collaboration between two mystical entities: Creation Rebel and New Age Steppers. Forerunners of the british dub scene the two bands shared several members, a who’s who of the On U-Sound school and key figures of the Bristol and London scene. Adrian Sherwood is – obviously – the man behind the desk a craftsman on its own, a character with no borders and one of the most sought after producer of the time. The supergroup is ran by post-punk stalwarts Bruce Smith (The Pop Group) on drums and Keith Levene (PIL) on guitar. Ari Up of The Slits sits on piano and organ, while masters Crucial Tony is both on bass and guitars. Members of African Head Charge – bass player George Oban, Eskimo Fox and Style Scott on drums – are welcomed addition to the line-up. Threat To Creation is still recognizable as an album ahead of its time, a futuristic blend filling the gap between the Jamaican heritage, the so-called (post) industrial revolution and the studio witchery of the whitey man.

* Vocals courtesy of the late great Jamaican singer Creation Stepper aka Willy Stepper, whose voice graced many a 70’s roots reggae classic such as `Kill Nebuchadnezzar’ and `Homeward Bound’.
* `Rockfort Rock’ was originally released on Youth and Alex Patterson’s WAU! Mr Modo label in 1989 and was mixed and produced by Teamworks and Sound Iration (Nick Manasseh and Scruff).

Originally released in 2000, this album is where it all began for Decapitated, and remains their most incendiary and focused record. Taking influence from Morbid Angel, Slayer (check out that raging ‘Mandatory Suicide’ cover!) and fellow countrymen Vader, ‘Winds Of Creation’ straddles the line between pure energy and technical precision – even more impressive considering the band were barely out of school when recording it

Close Encounters Of The Third World' ist ein erhabener Mix aus Roots-, Vocal- und synchronisierter Instrumental-Magie und der gefragteste Titel im reichhaltigen Creation Rebel-Katalog. Teils aufgenommen im Channel One Studio in Jamaika und gemischt von Prince Jammy in London, erschien das chronologisch zweite Album der Band ursprünglich auf dem Pre-On-U-Sound-Label Hitrun und war 45 Jahre nicht mehr erhältlich. Die neu geschnittene Reissue enthält erweiterte 12"-Discomix-Versionen von 'Beware' und 'Natty Conscience Free', neue Sleevenotes des Reggae-Forschers David Katz mit der Entstehungsgeschichte des Werks, sowie eine DL-Card.

Erstmals seit 1982 auf Vinyl erhältlich: 'Psychotic Jonkanoo' war das sechste Creation Rebel-Album in drei Jahren, ursprünglich lizenziert an das Glasgower Post-Punk-Label Statik. Ein weiterer solider Killer-Dub, weniger instrumental, mehr ausgereichtet auf bewusste Vocals im militanten Stil samt unterstützenden Harmonien im Black Uhuru-Stil. Mit Backing-Vocals der Punk-Legende John Lydon (The Sex Pistols, Public Image Limited) und einer ausgesprochen experimentell-britischen Herangehensweise an traditionell-jamaikanischen Roots-Reggae, was zu einem unverwechselbaren Hybrid-Sound führt, der immer noch frisch klingt.

Ein wahrer Dub-Klassiker von 1980: Rückwärtstapes voller interplanetarer Soundeffekte, gespenstischer Stimmen und klingelnder Percussion, 'Starship Africa' hört sich wie ein schräger 'Alien' Film-Soundtrack an, der die Dub-Reggae-Horizonte ins Unermessliche erweitert. Mit Mitgliedern der Roots Radics, Misty In Roots und Prince Far I’s Arabs war es der einzige Release auf dem Pre-On-U-Sound-Label 4D Rhythms. "Dub From Creation" war die erste bahnbrechende Studioarbeit von Dub-Produzentenlegende Adrian Sherwood (Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, African Head Charge) unter Beteiligung des Kult-Toningenieurs Dennis Bovell (Fela Kuti, The Slits, Orange Juice). Die bedruckte Innentasche enthält ein neu verfasstes Essay von Steve Barker (The Wire, BBC) mit der Entstehungsgeschichte des Kultalbums. Welchem 60s-Fan klingen die Songs nicht in den Ohren: 'Painter Man', 'Making Time', 'Cool Jerk', 'Tom Tom', 'Biff Bang Pow', ihre ultra-coolen Versionen von 'Like A Rolling Stone' oder 'Hey Joe' und einige mehr. Speziell in Deutschland hatte die 1966 formierte Beat-Band um Gitarrist Eddie Phillips eine treue Fan-Gemeinde.. Stilistisch nah bei The Who und den Kinks wurde The Creation von deren Produzenten Shel Talmy produziert. Bis sich die Band 1968 erstmalig auflöste, entstand kein reines Studioalbum, aber jede Menge Single-Hits. Später wurde das legendäre Label von Alan McGee nach ihnen benannt. Das luxuriöse 2CD-Set im 7inch Format hält nochmal alle Klassiker bereit, die die Band in den 1960er Jahren aufgenommen hat. Die im Tracklisting reduzierte Halfspeed-Master-LP kommt mit dem dänischen Artwork , OBI-Strip, 4-Seiten-Booklet und natürlich auf 180Gr. Black Vinyl.

Drittes Album der schwedischen Metal-Band Prime Creation. Auf Prime Creations "Tell Freedom I Said Hello" ist das Thema dystopisch. Es handelt sich jedoch nicht um ein Konzeptalbum; Jeder Song ist eigenständig und inspiriert von Büchern/Filmen und der Weltgeschichte. Die Songs haben oft einen melodischen, aber auch melancholischen Touch, der die Musik und die Texte auf faszinierende und fesselnde Weise miteinander verbindet. Gitarrist Robin Arnell schrieb die gesamte Musik für das Album, inspiriert von vielen verschiedenen Bands und Künstlern. Die Musik selbst hat einen etwas anderer Ansatz als die beiden vorherigen Alben der Band und ist noch härter geworden, ohne die Melodien und Harmonien zu vergessen. Prime Creation ist eine schwedische Metal-Band, die 2015 gegründet wurde und aus erfahrenen Musikern besteht, die modernen, treibenden, melodischen Heavy Metal spielen. Die Band erhob sich aus der Asche der Power-Metal-Band Morifade.
