Nach ersten EPs, Touren und Shows mit u. a. Bratmobile und L7 veröffentlichen Cumgirl8 im Herbst 2024 ihr Debütalbum. Für Veronika Vilim (Gitarre), Chase Lombardo (Drums), Lida Fox (Bass) und Avishag Rodrigues (Gitarre) ist dabei weiterhin eine Philosophie von zentraler Bedeutung: der Cyberfeminismus, der die Beziehung zwischen Mensch, Natur, Technologie und Maschine im Blick hat. In diesem Kontext ist "the 8th cumming" ein musikalischer Fiebertraum geworden. Die Platte wandelt zwischen Dunkelheit und Licht, zwischen verzerrten Industrial-Sounds und Carpenters Retro-Horror-Soundtracks, streift Post-Punk wie Synth-Wave-Romantik.

Cumgirl8 met in a sex chat 8000 years ago in another metaverse. Made up of Lida Fox (bass), Veronika Vilim (guitar), Chase Lombardo (drums) and Avishag Rodrigues (guitar), the band render the immersive and chaotic energy from cyberspace into our world, coming together to make a boundary-less sound that brilliantly stretches across the likes of ESG, Cocteau Twins, Suicide, CSS, B-52s, The Shangri-Las, Chris & Cosey, Madonna, and many more.

Avishag Cohen Rodrigues is an artist and musician based in New York. She broke out to the Tel-Aviv underground scene at age 18 with the guitar drum duo Laila. Since then she has been playing electric guitar with Ryskinder, Sloppy Jane, Cumgirl8. She has a forthcoming solo project where she plays too many of the instruments. She is currently an MFA candidate at Columbia University in the Sound Art Department.

In 2019 she released her first EP “One Winter One Hunter” with Baby Satan Records (Berlin). She has opened for major acts such as Dirty Beaches, Better Oblivion Community Center, Mac DeMarco, Psychic Ills, Deerhoof, Cloud Nothing, Night Beats, Wire, The Shivers.
