Rotterdam based artist ''Ben Buitendijk'' has been around for quite a while now. With a string of releases of labels such as ''Ogun Records'', ''Eshu Records'' and appearances on the mighty ''Field Records'', the time has come for Ben to launch his own imprint. Inspired by the city of Rotterdam and his love for anything architectural, Oblique was founded. A label that is designed to cater to Ben's vision on the overall electronic landscape and to display his love for well thought out drum patterns with dense long-stretched builds and strained atmospheres.

''Venomous EP'' comes in a package of three extended techno cuts with a certain corresponding theme. As the title might suggest, all cuts have a certain
touch of hazardousness to them.

''Black Mamba'' is best explained as the experience of poison slowly creeping through one's veins and leaving an irreversible trail of destruction.

''King Cobra'' feels more boisterous than it's predecessor. Again, a long repetitive build keeps on changing into a slightly psychotic state of being while razor-sharp bits of synthesis tickle the listeners brain like when undergoing acupuncture.

''Stingray'' is the final cut of this first ''Oblique'' effort. Whilst maintaining the corresponding ''Venomous'' theme, the last endeavour is a thumping outcry of muscular drums, a ponderous bass shot, and haunting pad sounds that together create a dystopian character. As an extra, Ben has thrown in an ominous locked groove that should be useful in adventurous club settings.

Matteo Mussoni and Nicola Zucchi were raised on the disco romance of the 1970s and early 80s. Channelling their shared love of music machines and mirrorballs, the duo founded Sparkling Attitude. Their debut EP draws on the magic of italo disco, the synthesizer soundtracks of the silverscreen and the open stretches of the Italian coastline.

“Dov’eri Sabato Sera” recounts the tale of unrequited love; youth, possibility and dashed hopes play out to a crisp rhythm and wistful melodies. Those heart-strained notes then take the limelight for the instrumental version, analogue strings soaring to impassioned heights. The flames keep burning on the flip with “Melodico Romantico”.

Disco infused, bold and brazen beats are made-up in dark rouges and effervescent greens as breathy vocals whisper. Mussoni and Zucchi dive deep into their machines for the curtain close. Inspired by Japanese culture, made in Italy, daring key stabs and astral echoes are draped in a late-night groove for this glittering finale. Joyous sounds from a Sparkling Attitude

The hazy atmospheres, the lowpassed kickdrums and the cinematic pads reminds of the golden years of intelligent dub techno but with a more sophisticated and modern approach.
Those who love the music of Deepchord, GAS or Porter Ricks will find here a delight to be added to their collection.

Alleviated Records is proud to present the re-issue of the "LooseFingers" EP and to introduce (or re-introduce for some) the original name that Larry recorded under before it was modified to Mr. Fingers in 1985. This EP contains 3 great selections. First the romantic and soothing mid-tempo "Glancing At the Moon." If you enjoyed selections like "What About This Love" or "Children at Play" from Larry, this will most likely be to your liking. Next up, "Lamentation" a more experimental and tracky kind of tune that should provide an enjoyable experience for DJ's and people who like harder dance flavors. The "B" side gives us "Deep Inside." Larry's mellow vocals are featured along with Atlanta talent, Justin Chapman from KemeticJust on guitar. This EP, produced by Larry Heard contains 3 selections; on the 'A' Side; ''When Summer Comes'' If you enjoyed tunes like ''What About This Love'' Mr. Fingers, you'll like this great dance-song with a summer feel that should provide a great musical backdrop to any summer event. On the 'B' side ''Acid-Bounce'' an acid-track.. which should be a surprise to many since Larry has not really done a lot of ''tracky'' things in recent years. It should be fun for DJ's to get creative with too! ''Transmission X'' is another acid-style track that DJ's and dancers alike will probably enjoy!!!. DON'T MISS IT!!!

Belarusian producer Four Walls is back after a seven-year hiatus. The first time around he made some standout cuts for the likes of Traxx Underground and Kolour LTD but this time around he finds himself on the new Ultraworld Records imprint from DJ Craft. This one kicks off with the lush prog house and silky synth arps of 'Mind Charger' which soon takes you to the stars. 'Metamorphosis' is a more raw-edged and acid-laced techno stomper for peak time action and 'Summer Nights' is a bubbling, elastic tapestry of new age overtones, thudding kicks, and trance-tinged pads. A remix by Toronto-based Pletnev adds another dimension to this club-ready EP.

Kiria Records present the fifth release by Zenk “Oniromantic EP”. On the side A is 'Oniromantic', characterized by an incredible melody created by the synth and the groove of the percussion, perfect to be played in the middle part of the set. In the same side “Khubaba” the amazing track that transports you to another dimension. The right fit between bass, synth, percussion, drums and vocals.

On the opposite side B "Nefertiti" this track has a fantastic groove thanks to the percussion the drums, vocals and the pad playing in the background that compacts the track making it perfect for making the crowd dance. in the same side, we have the remix did by Costin Rp "Nefertiti" solid track with a pad in the background that makes you dream with a perfect groove created by percussion, vocals, pad and bass, definitely the perfect track to close the sequence of this wonderful release.

Dago Sondervan uploads his code-driven debut to the Censor mainframe. Known for live-coding using Sonic-Pi and TidalCycles, Dago transports you straight into front-left of the Algorave. The EP includes a dimension changing remix from Annie Hall, and a further set of twisted electro remixes from CYRK and F.R.B. (an alias of Alex Jann). This is one for the replicants, bots and cyborgs.

Jazz injected, ethereal business that instantly dissipates any worries as you float on the hypnotic tones of this celestial track. Amsterdam's Alex Ranzino joins Phoq U Phonogrammen, the 26-year-old sublabel of U-TRAX, with the 'Ride Da Perc' EP. The Utrecht-based imprint welcomes the fast-rising producer following stints on underground labels such as Revenge Techniques and Clone, coming in hot on the heels of its own recent Phoq U release featuring Detroit's Rebecca Goldberg. Alex Ranzino kicks things off with the title track of his 'Ride Da Perc' EP, rocking punchy 909s and spacious, undulating strings. The Advent shows a different side to the track in his remix, still alien-like in nature but demonstrating a sense of dark, mysterious hypnotism through incessant groove and deep pulsating synth work. On the flip side of the 'Ride Da Perc' EP, Ranzino drops 'Acid Groove', a track that proves the age-old fact that b-sides should never be ignored. It's got pumping 303s and ceaseless rhythm, marked by a subtle but masterful house touch. Next up, 'Alienated' rolls on as the perfect warehouse party starter before 'Machine Geweld' closes out the EP as a real late-night mind-melter, already in heavy rotation in Alex's sets at Dutch institutions like BRET, WAS, Intercell and De School.
