2025-2026 marks the 40th anniversary of the Happy Mondays, a milestone celebration of one of Britain's most iconic and era-defining bands.

To celebrate, London Records will launch a series of special anniversary releases, beginning with a fully remastered brand-new compilation: The Factory Singles. This definitive collection captures the band's ground-breaking output from 1985-1992, celebrating their pivotal role in shaping UK music culture. Classic remixes from Paul Oakenfold, Andrew Weatherall, Terry Farley and Jon Carter make up bonus tracks on the 2CD and 2LP.

The release will be available across multiple formats, appealing to collectors and fans alike.

Complementing the physical editions, a series of brand-new digital remixes will be unveiled from world-renowned artists Daniel Avery, Paul Oakenfold, Mella Dee, and Shadow Child and more, bridging the Mondays' legacy with today's electronic innovators, and a revisit from Paul Oakenfold.

This campaign marks the beginning of an extensive celebration of the Happy Mondays' 40-year legacy, bringing their iconic sound to both devoted fans and new generations

Combining Bach with traditional Gabonese music, Lambarena pays tribute to Albert Schweitzer, a doctor and musician who settled in Lambaréné in 1913. Conceived by Hughes de Courson and Pierre Akendengué, this extraordinary project brings together more than 250 artists and blends organ, baroque choirs, and African percussion in a musical celebration of rare intensity. A true timeless classic, it is now available for the first time on double vinyl, accompanied by a 4-page bilingual booklet (English/French) recounting the history of this unique album.

Minisex: Kult-Album "Ayo" erscheint als limitierte Vinyl-Reissue am 05.12.2025 - remastered, farbig & rechtzeitig zum 70. Geburtstag von Sänger & Mastermind Rudi Nemeczek

Ein Klassiker des österreichischen New Wave feiert ein Comeback auf Vinyl: Am 5. Dezember 2025 erscheint das gefeierte Album "Ayo" von Minisex in einer remasterten 1LP-Reissue - limitiert auf eine exklusive Auflage und gepresst auf red-marbled Vinyl.

Ursprünglich 1984 veröffentlicht, zählt "Ayo" zu den musikalischen Meilensteinen der Bandgeschichte und enthält einige der größten Erfolge der österreichischen Kultband - allen voran die Songs "Rudi gib Acht" und "Eismeer", die bis heute Genre-Fans und Nostalgiker gleichermaßen begeistern.

Der Reissue-Termin könnte passender nicht sein: Nur wenige Wochen später, am 23. Dezember, feiert Rudi Nemeczek, Sänger, Songwriter und kreativer Kopf hinter Minisex, seinen 70. Geburtstag. Die Neuveröffentlichung ist somit nicht nur ein audiophiles Sammlerstück, sondern auch eine Hommage an eine zentrale Figur der österreichischen Musikszene.
Die LP erscheint in begrenzter Stückzahl. Wer sich ein Exemplar sichern möchte, sollte schnell sein - Ayo ist zurück, und zwar schöner denn je.

Canadian-born, London-based producer, songwriter and vocalist Chloé Raunet aka C.A.R. releases her third album, 'Crossing Prior Street', on Ransom Note Records. Full of bruised-but-ultimatelyhopeful electronic art pop, the album tells Chloe's story of escaping a broken childhood in Vancouver, and finding her way to the lonely streets of East London, at the tender age of 16.

Originally released as an edition of 50 lathe-cut LPs housed in silk-screened jackets in 2020 (fast on the heels of What's Tonight To Eternity), Cat O' Nine Tails has long intrigued die-hard Cindy Lee fans with its combination of the classic songwriting that would dominate Diamond Jubilee a few years later and an actual suite of classical songs under the title itself.

Opening with the gothic soap opera theme of "Our Lady Of Sorrows" into the manic exploration of "Cat O' Nine Tails," onto the dusty western walk through Patrick Flegel's lovely guitar work on "Faith Restored," the album seems to soundtrack the coolest movie the late '60s ever produced. All of this builds to the lush and sweeping ballad of bruised hearts that introduces that beautiful voice via "Love Remains."

Side Two sees 2024 live show closer "Cat O' Nine Tails III" complete the suite to epic effect, before introducing the absolute showstopper that is "I Don't Want To Fall In Love Again." It is tender and fragile in that way that only Flegel can make both familiar and unique. Closing with the ethereal soul shuffle stomp of "Bondage Of The Mind," the album showcases nine songs from an essential time in the Cindy Lee evolution.

This release marks a milestone for both our label and our friendship.

,Amusing the Amazing" ist eine EP mit vier Songs von der amerikanischen Stoner-Rock-Band Slo Burn, die ursprünglich 1997 von Malicious Vinyl rausgebracht wurde. Die Band wurde von Sänger John Garcia, früher bei Kyuss, angeführt und bestand aus Gitarrist Chris Hale, Bassist Damon Garrison und Schlagzeuger Brady Houghton. Die EP wurde von Slo Burn und Chris Goss zusammen produziert. Die EP wird gerade neu gemastert und zum ersten Mal auf 12-Zoll-Vinyl gepresst, mit Audio auf der einen Seite und einer speziellen Gravur auf der anderen.

In ihrer kurzen gemeinsamen Zeit schufen Albert Ayler und Don Cherry ein Musikwerk, das wirklich im Moment existiert. Ohne Rücksicht auf Regeln und ästhetische Grenzen spielten sie, was sie fühlten, und nahmen Fehler und falsche Wendungen als Teil der Erfahrung des künstlerischen Schaffens im Moment an. Auch nach über sechzig Jahren klingen diese Aufnahmen noch genauso kraftvoll und lebendig wie damals, als sie entstanden sind. Dieses 4xLP-Boxset enthält vier Aufnahmen aus dem Herbst 1964, darunter Live-Auftritte im Jazzhus Montmartre in Kopenhagen und eine VARA-Radio-Session in den Niederlanden. Der Ton wurde remastered und zum ersten Mal auf Vinyl zusammengestellt. Albert Aylers bedeutendes Free-Jazz-Quartett bestand aus Don Cherry an der Kornette, Gary Peacock am Kontrabass und Sunny Murray am Schlagzeug. Mit ausklappbarem Insert mit ausführlichen Liner Notes von Brian Morton.

In einer mutigen, hypnotischen Hommage an Detroits ursprüngliche Avantgarde-Rock-Wurzeln verwandeln Schlagzeuger Larry Mullins (alias Toby Dammit) und der legendäre Bassist Mike Watt das eindringliche Mantra ,We Will Fall" von The Stooges in ein fast 40-minütiges Ritual aus Wiederholungen, Zurückhaltung und roher Atmosphäre. Mullins und Watt greifen den unheimlichen Puls und den narkotischen Drone des Original-Tracks von 1969 auf und treiben dessen tranceartigen Kern in unbekanntes Terrain. Mullins, bekannt für seine Arbeit mit Iggy Pop, Swans und Nick Cave, baut mit seiner Shruti-Box, Moog-Elektronik, Tabla und Gongs eine minimalistische Landschaft auf. Watts charakteristisches Low-End-Dröhnen verwandelt sich von einem subtilen Herzschlag zu einer Ganzkörperhalluzination. Das Ergebnis ist keine Coverversion, sondern eine erweiterte Beschwörung. Teils Séance, teils Trauergesang, teils freie Erkundung von Stimmung und Geist. Es ist ein langsames Brennen klanglicher Hingabe, das den Geist der Stooges ehrt und gleichzeitig die Tür zu etwas völlig Neuem öffnet: ein tiefes Eintauchen in das Heilige und Fremde. Dieses meditative und bedrohliche Stück ist auf zwei Seiten der LP aufgeteilt, die exklusiv für den Record Store Day Black Friday 2025 erhältlich ist. Die Hälfte der Pressung erscheint auf goldenem Vinyl, die andere Hälfte auf schwarzem, die Auswahl erfolgt nach dem Zufallsprinzip.

Die rohe, donnernde Kraft von Charley Patton kommt in diesem unverzichtbaren zweiten Teil von ,Father of the Delta Blues: Selections from Paramount Recordings" wieder voll zur Geltung. Diese Tracks zeigen Patton von seiner eindringlichsten und ungefiltertesten Seite, mit wilder Slide-Gitarre, schreiendem Gesang und Texten voller Geheimnisse, Trotz und tiefer Mississippi-Seele. "Vol. 2" setzt die Erforschung von Pattons einzigartigem Vermächtnis fort: teils Prediger, teils Trickster, teils Geschichtenerzähler. Der zweite Band wurde von Dave Gardner liebevoll restauriert und remastert und ist nicht nur ein Dokument des frühen Blues, sondern auch ein Einblick in die Wurzeln der amerikanischen Musik selbst, wo Rhythmus auf Rebellion traf und Geschichte in Schellack eingraviert wurde. Frontman Chris Reifert was already a well-known force on the underground through his time as drummer with Florida's highly respected death metal combo Death. After playing drums on the band's debut album, the much acclaimed 'Scream Bloody Gore', Chris moved back west to the more open climate of San Francisco & formed Autopsy. The band released the demo 'Critical Madness' in 1988 & it wasn't long before Peaceville Records snapped them up in a deal initially spanning 4 albums.

The partnership kicked off in April 1989 with their debut album 'Severed Survival'; a brutal explosion of heavy riffs, tight drumming & a screaming vocal, rounded off with concepts of death, disease & diabolica. This was swiftly followed up with the equally genre-defining 'Mental Funeral' opus in 1991. Released in the autumn of 1995, Autopsy's then fourth & final album before splitting, 'Shitfun', was a glorious scatological gross out & exercise in the limits of extremity & a fitting end to one of the finest bands of a Doomed generation before their return from the grave in 2009 which has continued to go from strength to strength to the current day. This thirtieth anniversary vinyl pressing of 'Shitfun' is presented on bowel- busting limited brown marble- effect vinyl, including the original cover art & printed inner sleeve.
