Former member of Ganymed (a seminal Austrian space disco band active in the late 70s) multi-instrumentalist with boundless talent and dozens of excellent recordings ranging from jazz to pop under his belt. Italian-based musician, singer, and composer Daniele Prencipe is definitely to be counted among the most underrated, despite clear proof of his fine skills with solo projects and behind Surprise where he leaves an indelible mark.
In particular with the tracks like "Wow" and "Singin' And Steppin'" thanks to the pioneering use of the Minimoog combined with a Vocoder. Here the arrangement is on another level and the original 7" released by Polydor back in 1983 is one of the rarest of its kind. Finally reissued by Babà Records, fully licensed by Daniele Prencipe himself.

Hyperjazz Records presents the self-titled debut album from Tera Tera, an unexpected collaboration between two
visionaries of the Italian music scene. Drummer Jacopo Battaglia, founder of the cult Italian trio Zu and collaborator with
Mike Patton and The Bloody Beetroots, joins forces with guitarist Adriano Viterbini, founder of the rising sensation I Hate
My Village and collaborator with Rokia Traorè and Bombino. Born from two intense jam sessions of pure improvisation, this
album emerged through multiple phases of fragmentation, psychedelic experimentation, and sonic reconstruction. Hours
of raw material were distilled into structures, then subjected to further manipulation and synthesis, documenting the inherent
chemistry between two sound wanderers. Tera Tera's primary interest lies in exploring sound, creating new pathways
toward transcendence. Their music defies genre boundaries, pushing beyond conventional limitations into uncharted
psychedelic territories.
Jacopo Battaglia
Jacopo Battaglia has established himself as one of the most innovative and respected drummers in the Italian experimental
music scene. As a founding member of the cult band Zu, he pushes the boundaries of music since 1997. Blending elements
of noise rock, free jazz, and avant-garde into a distinctive style, he’s a pivotal figure in the “evolutionofavant - gardemusic”
internationally.
Adriano Viterbini
Over the years, Adriano Viterbini has built an international credibility like few other Italian musicians. He’s one of the most
inspired guitarists of contemporary Italian music, best known as founding member of I Hate My Village and Bud Spencer
Blues Explosion bands. An entire career voted to the research of the purest language of blues, Viterbini's impact extends
far beyond Italy, influencing a new generation of musicians with his dynamic approach to composition and performance.

A new 2023 pressing of LOWRIDERS's comeback album Refractions comes in merged bone-magenta coloured vinyl! EU festival dates in 2023 announced! The progenitors of Swedish desert-rock return with their astonishing new record of fuzz-heavy stoner rock bliss! The new album from the progenitors of the Swedish desert rock scene, Lowrider's previous album is a milestone in the global stoner rock underground, soundalikes to Kyuss or Fu Man-Chu, Lowrider manage to add impressive songwriting qualities to their works. Before Monolord, Graveyard, Greenleaf, and Truckfighters, one band stood at the dawn of Sweden's Kyuss-inspired desert rock movement. With their groundbreaking debut EP and seminal "Ode to Io" album, LOWRIDER spawned thousands of imitators. Now, at long last, the progenitors return with blistering new album "Refractions," delivering on their mythic status as founders of a worldwide phenomenon. 'Lowrider's 'Ode to Io' is an absolute landmark. It is essential. Quite possibly the best desert-style rock record not to come from the actual Californian desert.' _ JJ Koczan / The Obelisk 'Thunderous riff-rides like 'Caravan' and 'Saguaro' cannot be denied, and quite honestly leave a much more lasting impression than most anything issued by the likes of Nebula and even Fu Manchu.' _ Ed Rivadavia / All Music Guide 'Ode to Io is desert-rock in its purest and heaviest form. Almost the whole album is indeed explosive, fuzzy and straight to the point... the best definition of stoner-rock you could get.' _ Nuno / Sputnik Music Lowrider paved the way for a whole generation of European fuzz rockers... there was Kyuss in the US, and there was Lowrider here.' _ Beeho / The Heavy Chronicles

La Escuela Moderna launches with a retrospective revisiting the UK electro and breaks scene at the turn of the millennium. A double album featuring eight tracks, Tactical Shifts covers the years 1995 - 2003, presenting a vibrant era celebrating the creativity and innovation that characterised this pivotal era in British electronic music.
The compilation opens with the starry-eyed Ayemooth, an early transmission from The Wee Paton (The Wee Djs, Distorto). Followed up by The Illistines channelling the free spirited Castlemorton. Re-Incarnated sees the trio on a percussive funk roll. Opening the B-side, System UCS (Neil Keating and Harold Slater) provide a growling electro track with Memory Trace, first released on Break/Flow. The first record closes with a rugged breakbeat number by Milo Smee AKA Kruton.
Rag and Bone co-founder NoYeahNo opens the B-side with the rollicking Pushing Percussion, an early entry in the seminal label. Nick Philphin and John O'Donnell's Orphic project brings the relentless beat science of Obvious Intruder. Lunar builds momentum with the bleepy breaks of Orbiting Ganymede and Phil Holmberg AKA Schematix wraps up the comp with the sinuous pads of Magnum Six.

Following 2019’s critically-acclaimed sophomore album, I Spent the Winter Writing Songs About Getting Better, Proper. is making their return with The Great American Novel. “The Great American Novel is a concept album about how Black genius, specifically my own, goes ignored, relentlessly contested, or just gets completely snuffed out before it can flourish,” vocalist Erik Garlington said. “This record is a concept album that’s meant to read like a book; every song is a chapter following the protagonist through their 20s. Imagine a queer, Black Holden Caufield-type coming up in the 2010s.” The result is an album that is both lyrically and musically heavy, the former something fans have come to expect from Garlington’s unflinchingly honest lyrical content, but the latter something that’ll be refreshingly new. Channeling the heavier music he listened to during his adolescence — from post-hardcore outfit At the Drive-In to progressive metal band System of a Down — Garlington and the rest of Proper. — bassist Natasha Johnson and drummer Elijah Watson — push themselves in ways they haven’t before, culminating in an ambitious project that showcases the new sonic territory the band is heading in. Recorded by Bartees Strange in early 2021 and mixed/mastered by Brian DiMeglio, TGAN is made up of 14 songs, with three of them to be singles dropped throughout the course of the album’s release

"Satriani and his touring band, who all recorded remotely in separate areas of the world during lockdown, deliver an album-length journey that never dulls. The Elephants of Mars crackles with an exciting new energy, briskly traveling through stylistic roads that feel freshly updated, viewed through new eyes.
From the gripping, sci-fi madness of “Through A Mother’s Day Darkly,” to the isolation felt in a decaying urban landscape, as depicted in “Sahara,” to the general endorphin levels that peak as the elephants finally roar in the title track, The Elephants of Mars will stampede across your mind, leaving a sonic imprint that doesn’t fade.
Thanks to the pandemic removing all time constraints, The Elephants of Mars truly represents the album that Satriani himself hoped he could deliver with his band. “We did everything. We tried the craziest ideas. And we entertained every notion we had about turning something backwards, upside down, seeing what could happen.”"

Tachyon Audio 004 is a solo release by Tachyon's own, Paradaux. Paradaux has been on a production tear of late and offers a four-track E.P. that takes Tachyon Audio to a new place in space-time. Intro (A1) sets the mood of the E.P. right from the off with a broken experimental beat that forces the listener to move rhythmically.
The second track, Bolder (A2), offers distorted rumbling and broken drum kit sounds and tweaks pounding down through ethereal fading pads. This muscular groove is sure to warm up anyone.
Side B of the E.P. starts off with Absence of Rain (B1), a mind-bending desert acid masterpiece.
The E.P. continues its trek through the mind of Paradaux, as Step Down (B2) brings back a strong distorted broken rhythm that flaunts the cohesiveness and foresight of the record as a whole and creates an emotional end to the journey.
Lastly, as with every Tachyon Audio release, a raw sound of space is pressed into a vinyl locked groove. This time an open-source National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) sample -- the Galileo spacecraft making the first flyby of Jupiter's largest moon, Ganymede, this audio track represents data from Galileo's Plasma Wave Experiment instrument.

Time is Local is a project by Danish collective We like We and sound artist Jacob Kirkegaard built around a 12-hour live sound installation and performance at Thorvaldsen Museum in Copenhagen.
The piece was initiated and performed by the artists during the G((o))ng Tomorrow Festival in 2017. As they slowly wandered the halls and rooms of the museum for a whole day, they performed extended sound compositions for a visiting audience at each of the 12 chambers for a longer session - a haunting experience as the outside world disappeared and the focus was on quiet sonic moments unfolding in midst of the grand, reverberous space. For this album they have collected 12 fragments revolving around the chambers in the museum. Each chamber is being represented by its own handful of tones, instruments and voice. The statues within, depicted by neo-classicist sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen get their own soundtrack of quiet emanating gusts. Barely heard frequencies reflect through the walls. The marble carved busts of Greek gods that line the museum hallways gaze eternally with a blank stare as decades pass and new audience arrives.
Although We like We should need no introduction to followers of the Sonic Pieces label, the Danish all female sound quartet consists of Katrine Grarup Elbo (violin), Josefine Opsahl (cello), Sara Nigard Rosendal (percussion) and Katinka Fogh Vindelev (voice). Together they have forged a dynamic and intuitional sound beyond genres through the last decade. Only two years ago they released the nordic neo-classical opus Next to the entire All. This time they emerge in collaboration with sound artist Jacob Kirkegaard. Jacob’s works are sonic reflections on complex aspects of the human civilisation, treating themes such as radioactivity, melting ice, border walls and tones emitted by the ears. Through the last decades he has released records and sound documents through labels such as Touch, Important Records and more. As a document of their 12h performance, Time is Local is a beautiful sonic evocation that shines as a bright line of sun through the cracks of a tomb.
