KRIS BARRAS BAND, eine der aufregendsten Durchstarter des modernen Hard Rock in den letzten Jahren, bringt mit ihrem neuen Album Halo Effect, das am 12. Auf Halo Effect verstärken sie den härteren Sound ihres letzten Albums Death Valley Paradise und liefern knallharte Riffs, fesselnde Refrains, die sich in die Höhe schrauben, und zündende Gitarren-Soli. Die Songs wurden in den Vada Recording Studios in Worcestershire aufgenommen und von Kris Barras zusammen mit seinem langjährigen Kollegen Josiah J. Manning produziert. TO THE LIMIT ist eine durchdachte Zusammenstellung von 51 Songs aus den Studioalben und Live-Aufnahmen, die die Eagles zwischen 1972 und 2020 veröffentlichten. Die bekanntesten Titel der Band sind hier vertreten, darunter die Nummer-1-Hits "New Kid In Town", "One Of These Nights", "Best Of My Love", "Hotel California" und "Heartache Tonight". Mit Songs wie "Desperado", "Victim Of Love" und "In The City" enthält das Set auch viele Fan-Favoriten. Außerhalb des Studios beleuchtet TO THE LIMIT das beeindruckende Tournee-Erbe der Eagles mit mehr als einem Dutzend elektrisierender Live-Tracks. Dazu gehören Ausschnitte aus Eagles Live (1980) - darunter der Top-40-Hit "Seven Bridges Road" - sowie Songs aus Hell Freezes Over (1994), The Millennium Concert (2000), Live At The Forum '76 (2017) und Live From The Forum MMXVIII (2020).

In Season 5, the long-awaited fifth full-length by beach-pop project The Tyde, frontman Darren Rademaker unveils his vision of an ’80s-inspired Suave Nouveau, with a clutch of sweet, melancholic love songs evoking lush mustaches, mellow macho, the ghost of Jimmy Buffett, white sand beaches, flamingos swooping across a cerulean sky, speedboats cutting through the bay and pastel linen suits billowing in the breeze as the sun dips beneath the horizon. “Spanish conquistador Juan Ponce de León ‘discovered’ Florida in 1513, naming the peninsula La Florida, the flowering land. In Season 5, Rademaker reflects on his own return to the flowering land, and the artistic diaspora that caused him to quit California in 2020 in search of a New World of his own. ‘I lived in Florida from the ages of ten to twenty-five, but never really got to explore it,’ he says. ‘When I came back, I decided to really embrace the whole Florida aesthetic. I moved into an art deco home in Sarasota with pink seashell lamps. I visited Key West, like seven times. I also quit smoking weed and cigarettes, and stopped saying shit like LOL and amazeballs. It felt different. It felt good.’ “The record features the talents of many good friends, including Dan Horne, Colby Buddelmeyer, Matt Correia (Allah-Las), Clay Finch (Mapache), Albert Hickman, Derek James (The Entrance Band), Alex Knost (Tomorrow’s Tulips) and Adam MacDougall (Circles Around The Sun / Black Crowes), with artist / musician Matt Fishbeck (Holy Shit) designing the deco-inspired album artwork. “And as much as they are inspired by the past, these songs are keenly aware of an uncertain future—because there is no such thing as a time machine, and there is no going back. Released on the Verve label in 1968, Giblet Gravy marked jazz/soul guitarist George Benson's fourth album as a leader. It features Benson backed by an all-star group arranged and conducted by Tom Mcintosh, that includes such jazz luminaries as Ernie Royal, Pepper Adams, Johnny Pacheco, Billy Cobham, Ron Carter, and Herbie Hancock. According to AllMusic reviewer Richard S. Ginell, the label's "immediate goal was to groom Benson as the next Wes Montgomery (who was about to leave Verve) - and so he covers hit tunes of the day, playing either with a big band plus voices or a neat quintet anchored by Herbie Hancock, and the sound is contoured to give his guitar a warm mellow ambience. But the eclectic Benson is his own man, as his infectious repeated-interval rhythm trademark tells us on his self-composed title track. George's work is always tasty and irresistibly melodic."

140 Gramm Black Vinyl 2LP w/ dlc! Re-Issue von PULPs 1987er Album "Freaks" als Teil der Fire Embers Re-Issue Serie von Fire Records. "Freaks" in der 2012er Version erscheint als Doppelalbum mit einer Bonusscheibe voller Singles und B-Seiten aus der "Freaks"-Ära. PULP hatten sich seit ihrem Debüt ,It" deutlich verändert. Die meisten Songs auf ,Freaks" haben jedoch die Jahre frisch überstanden. Auf Disc 1 vergnügt sich das komplett unveränderte Originalalbum in seiner vollen Länge. Disc 2 als Bonusdisc versammelt insgesamt 11 Tracks, darunter die großen Maxi-Singles, die seinerzeit vor dem Album erschienen und nicht darauf landeten: ,Little Girl (With Blue Eyes)" und ,Dogs Are Everywhere". Die beiden B-Seiten ,Tunnel" und ,Manon" der 7" Albumauskopplungen (,Master Of The Universe & ,They Suffocate At Night") komplettieren die zweite Scheibe und machen die 2012er Version zum definitiven ,Freaks" Release von Pulp.

Pulp’s debut and one of their most honest recordings - capturing a band at the beginning of their startling career. ‘It’ is a gentle, mainly acoustic album that hints at the musical directions Pulp would later pursue. The album touches on the majestic, theatrical ballads of Scott Walker, as well as the stark, folky song poems of Leonard Cohen. Certainly an album by a young band trying to pinpoint their direction, and absorbing many an influence from all around, ‘It’ has aged beautifully into a charming collection. Fire are to reissue Pulp’s 1983 debut album ‘It’ as part of the Fire reissue series with bonus material. Liner notes by Everett True. Featuring 4 Bonus tracks including single version of ‘My Lighthouse’ and alternative mix of ‘Blue Girls’, ‘Sink Or Swim’ and ‘Please Don’t Worry’ from Pulp’s John Peel session in 1981.

This album was the first from a man who quite simply changed the face of music. Originally released on Chess Records in Chicago in 1957, it underlined the value that the company placed on him. They realised that they had a star on their hands, and they were most certainly right. Hard to credit, but this ground breaking album was never issued at the time in England, though Chuck's second album 'One Dozen Berrys', was. Both albums are extremely collectable on both sides of the Atlantic and together command high prices for they represent the very best of his early material, the songs that he is best remembered for. This is certainly one to love andtreasure.

Another great artist from the 80s back to vinyl: Roberto Buti has been involved in many important projects in the past, sometimes as a composer, sometimes as an arranger and many times by giving his voice for the project: “Xenon – Symphony”, “Next – You’re An Illusion”, “Reeds – In Your Eyes”, “Dr. Martini – You Are The One”, “Bob Robert – Storm In A Teacup”, just to name a few.

After almost 40 years, Mr. Buti is back in the 80s Italo Disco scene with a beautiful new track “You’re The Only One”. The vinyl release has an original production by Buti on the A side and as an alternative, the Flashback Remix (by Electro Potato) on the B side. Limited edition of 175 copies on the market.

One of the productions of Roberto Zanetti vel Robyx aka Savage, loved by Italo disco fans. A successful composition and excellent production from 1987, which conquered many dance floors in Europe and Asia and became a secret weapon in the cases of many DJs. Today it returns with a special reissue including, as a bonus, a remix by Alex “A” and Patrick Delay, which was released in 1988 in Hong Kong.
