Die legendäre, 2003 im schwedischen Borlänge gegründete Metal-Band meldet sich fünf Jahre nach ihrem Chart-Erfolg "Worship Or Die" mit einem brandneuen Studioalbum zurück.

ALARMSIGNAL – Dieser Bandname ist seit nunmehr 25 Jahren unüberhörbar Programm. Eine Zeit, in der sich die Band, nicht zuletzt durch den
Charteinstieg auf Platz 20 mit dem letzten Album "Ästhetik des Widerstands" und zahlreichen ausverkauften Shows, auch über die Grenzen des
Deutschpunks, einen Namen gemacht hat. Schon der Titel "Insomnia" beschreibt treffend die schlafl osen Nächte, die viele von uns in den aktuell unruhigen Zeiten haben. Sänger und Bassist Steff erklärt: "Auf politischer und sozialer Ebene raubt uns Vieles den Schlaf: die Dummheit, die Ignoranz, der Egoismus, der Hass und die Rückwärtsgewandtheit der Menschheit. Wir haben 2024 und anstatt aus der Vergangenheit zu lernen, rückt Europa immer weiter nach rechts." – All' dies und die selbstverständlichen, persönlichen Baustellen wirken auf das Schaffen von ALARMSIGNAL und fl ießen in die Entstehung des neuen Albums "Insomnia" ein.

Als die Berliner Komponistin und Pianistin Ulrike Haage den Deutschen Musikautor: innenpreis der GEMA in der Kategorie "Audiovisuelle Medien" bekam, attestierte ihr der Dokumentarfilmregisseur Volker Heise in seiner Laudatio, dass ihre Filmmusik "immer eigenständig ist und sich nie den Bildern unterwirft". Das gilt auch für "Überleben", die aktuelle Zusammenarbeit zwischen Ulrike Haage und Volker Heise. In dem Dokumentarfilm über den Kampf eines Berliner Arztes gegen den Krebs erzählt Ulrike Haage gleich von der ersten Szene an mittels ihrer Musik eine eigene Version dieses Kampfes. Berührend, aufwühlend und einfühlsam zeigen sie Ulrike Haage auf dem Höhepunkt ihres kompositorischen Wirkens. Und man kann es nur als Glück bezeichnen, daß ihr Label "blue pearls music" dieser Filmmusiken in einer limitierten Vinyl - Edition herausbringt. Nach "The Eerie World of E. Z." ist "Überleben" nun die zweite Veröffentlichung in dieser Reihe.

Der deutsche-amerikanische Pianist Benjamin Lackner ist mit einem neu formierten Quintett zurück, das
er für eine besonders intensive Aufnahmesession im Frühling 2024 in der Provence zusammengestellt hat.
Mit der hochkarätigen Gruppe präsentiert er eine frische und spannende Seite seiner kompositorischen
Bandbreite. Mathias Eick ist der einzige Wiederkehrende von Lackners Debüt Last Decade und in markantem Dualismus mit Mark Turners eigenwilliger Saxophon-Dialektik zu hören – ein Schlüsselmerkmal des
Zusammenspiels auf Spindrift. Zum Bläserduo und dem Pianisten gesellen sich die international gefragte
Bassistin Linda May Han Oh und der französische Schlagzeuger Matthieu Chazarenc, der schon lange zu
Lackners Trio gehört. Subtile Fanfaren treffen auf kontemplativen Lyrismus in einem Programm eigener
Kompositionen, bei denen Melodie und Ensemblezusammenspiel immer an erster Stelle stehen. Saxophon
und Trompete übernehmen die Führung, bilden eine eigene kleine Einheit und tragen mit elegant ineinander
verwobenen Linien und bestechenden Soli zu einem besonders harmonischen Gruppensound und infektiös
melodischen Stücken bei. Das Album wurde von Manfred Eicher produziert.

„My Everything“ war das zweite Studioalbum der amerikanischen Sängerin Ariana Grande, welches am 25.
August 2014 von Republic Records veröffentlicht wurde. ”My Everything” sollte eine Weiterentwicklung
ihres Debütalbums ”Yours Truly” (2013) sein und setzte die musikalische Reise Grandes mit reiferen Themen und Genres fort. ”My Everything” brachte zahlreiche Hits hervor, wie etwa ”One Last Time”, ”Bang
Bang” zusammen mit Nicki Minaj und Jessie J oder auch ”Problem” mit der australischen Rapperin Iggy
Azalea. Das Album, welches unter anderem von David Guetta und Zedd produziert wurde, bescherte der
US-Amerikanischen Sängerin einen Riesenerfolg und katapultierte sie in die Charts. Zusätzlich wurde die
damals 21-jährige Sängerin dann im November 2014 mit einem Bambi als ”beste Newcomerin” ausgezeichnet. Nach seiner Veröffentlichung erreichte das Album mit 169.000 verkauften Exemplaren in der ersten
Woche die Spitze der Billboard Hot 100 und ganze 10 Jahre später gehören die Tracks des Albums immer
noch zu ihren meist-gestreamten Songs.
Anlässlich des 10-jährigen Jubiläums von „My Everything“ erscheint das Album in einer Neuauflage auf
baby-pinken Vinyl.

This is the third release by Trevor Dunn (Mr Bungle, Fantomas, Trio Convulsant, various with John Zorn) and Kevin Rutmanis (Tomahawk, Melvins, Cows, Hepa/Titus) On this outing Trevor joins Lords and Lady Kevin (duo of Kevin Rutmanis and drummer/artist Gina Skwoz) for a full length LP "Last Days at Hot Slit"

Songs are loosely based on assorted gospel, blues and jazz songs, some original, some covers. Included is a re-working of Mingus "Devil Woman". The trio based the pieces on improvisations that were then arranged and used to build free standing songs. A multitude of instruments were exploited by all those involved, to create a sizzling blend of aural delicacies. The album title is from a collection by writer Andrea Dworkin, often sited as the Celine of feminism. Less outre perhaps than their previous recordings, these songs hover somewhere between soundtrack- like excursions, to jazz/ blues mutations to a demented "rock" sounding affair. Something for everybody, or perhaps, nobody! Uniting former and current members of Tomahawk, Last Days At Hot Slit marks a powerful reunion between Rutmanis and Dunn. The record took shape gradually, born from Rutmanis's raw, unconventional bass recordings. "I sent Trevor a phone recording of some hideous bass racket and asked if he wanted to add anything," Rutmanis shares. "What he sent back was something like delicious fresh cherries with ice and banana slices." The pair's combined creativity gave rise to a new, immersive soundscape, while their collaborative piece, Crackpot Whorehead, set the tone for the current formation of Lords and Lady Kevin."

The second album by the Dutch group Our Throne marks the transition between seasons. Moving on from the cold, desolate vibes of their impressive debut, 'Withered and Forgotten', the band now welcomes the autumn with 'Amber and Gold'.

Subsism releases Hadale, a 6-track EP exploring hybrid and aquatic sounds,
built on delightful shifting atmospheres, spiralling variations and adventurous
rhythmic patterns. A dawn dance album in the making, referring to the deepest
zone of the ocean, Hadale is an invitation to sonic immersion wandering through
a circuit of dub bass lines, evanescent pads and breakneck grooves.

For its ¬rst release, Binding System introduces Acidulant's My Vision Of Space, a ¬ve-track EP that masterfully blends Electro, Acid, and Techno. After two years in the making, Wyatt E. seals their long-awaited return in 2025 with the highly anticipated narrative sequel to "al beluti darû": zamaru ultu qereb ziqquratu Part 1 (Music from inside the Ziggurat); is the first chapter of a set of 2 concept albums in which the band deepens its exploration of ancient Babylon with an almost mythical approach through the eyes of the exiled captives from Jerusalem. Featuring contributions from 7 international collaborators, zamaru ultu qereb ziqquratu is poised to become one of the most ambitious projects in the doom scene in terms of production & conception and will be released by the finest label in the genre: Heavy Psych Sounds. The album pushes sonic boundaries by featuring two drummers recorded simultaneously, creating the immersive effect of distant crowds. An eclectic mix of instruments, including the saz, viola, sitar, and bugle, blend with both analog and digital elements to enrich the soundscape. A nod to Turkish composer Faz?l Say is also present, with a quotation from his symphony Mesopotamia. For the first time, two vocal tracks appear alongside the instrumental pieces. Iranian singer Nina Saiedi lends her ethereal voice to "The Diviner's Prayer to the Gods of the Night," sung in Akkadian, while Jerusalem's choir conductor, Tomer Damsky delivers a captivating performance of Im Lelya in Aramaic adding a deep vocal layer to the album. The final mix, crafted by renowned producer Tim De Gieter, known for his work with Amenra, Brutus, and Absent in Body, brings everything together with a masterful touch.

The Legend is back!
Ringo Starr meldet sich zurück mit seinem ersten Album seit 2019 und seinem ersten Country-Album
seit mehr als 50 Jahren. Neun der 11 Songs auf „Look Up‘‘ wurden von Burnett geschrieben oder mitgeschrieben. Mitbeteiligt war auch T Bone Burnett, der schon mit Größen wie Bob Dylan, Elton John und
Taylor Swift zusammengearbeitet hat und das ganze Album mitproduziert und mitgeschrieben hat.
Ringo über das Album: „Ich habe Country-Musik schon immer geliebt. Und als ich T Bone bat, einen
Song für mich zu schreiben, dachte ich nicht einmal daran, dass es ein Country-Song sein würde - aber
natürlich war er es, und er war so schön. Ich hatte zu der Zeit EPs gemacht und dachte, wir würden eine
Country-EP machen - aber als er mir neun Songs brachte, wusste ich, dass wir ein Album machen mussten!
Und ich bin so froh, dass wir das getan haben. Es war eine Freude, es zu machen, und ich hoffe, dass es
ine Freude ist, es zu hören.“

Visioni Fuggitive” is an unconventional project by Alien Alien and Foresta, influenced by Sergei Prokofiev’s “Visions fugitives, Op. 22.” The composition reimagines Prokofiev’s piano miniatures using electroacoustic music, combining various elements like piano fragments, electronic sounds, and field recordings. The result is a 45-minute immersive and emotive piece that beautifully evolves and shifts throughout. Alien Alien and Foresta successfully draw inspiration from classical music history, bringing Prokofiev’s work into a new age and context.
