Nach dem 2023 erschienenen „Are You Lost Here?“ betritt der junge belgische Singer-Songwriter mit diesem Album neues Terrain – ein Werk, das gleichermaßen weitläufig wie zutiefst persönlich klingt. „Salt Moon City“ verwebt die bekenntnishafte Songwriting- Intensität von Künstlern wie Sufjan Stevens und Paolo Nutini mit der majestätischen Klangfülle von Coldplay – und deutet zugleich subtil auf die harmonische Raffinesse von Bach und Debussy hin.

Dieses Album wirkt wie eine Verfilmung in Breitbildformat. Nach zwei Jahren gemeinsamen Spielens mit seiner Band hat sich Moon´s Sound geöffnet: Streicher und Bläser durchziehen die
Arrangements, verwandeln stille Selbstbeobachtung in etwas Strahlendes und Gemeinschaftliches.

Im Mittelpunkt steht Moon´s Stimme – leise, rau und ungeschützt – und sein Gespür für Songs, die Zerbrechlichkeit und Selbstbewusstsein gleichermaßen in sich tragen. Auf „Salt Moon City“ zeigt sich Moon als Produzent, Arrangeur und Multiinstrumentalist, der seinen Sound vollständig im Griff hat. Bruise Control sind eine laute, vierköpfige Punkband aus Manchester, die sich in der britischen DIY-Szene einen Namen gemacht hat. Mit ihrer ungestümen Energie mischen sie die rohe Aggression des 80er-Hardcore mit eingängigen, kantigen Indie-Riffs der frühen 2000er. Ihre neue EP, co-produziert von ihrem Gitarristen Niall Griffin, fängt dieses chaotische, energiegeladene Feeling perfekt ein – mit Mitsing-Refrains, rauem Gesang und einer kantigen Musik, die trotzdem irgendwie melodisch klingt. 10" EP + DIY Fanzine Schwedens enthusiastischste Katastrophentouristen, The Sensitives, sind zurück mit einer neuen 10" EP, Ride It Like You Stole It - fünf Songs und eine Mischung aus Punkrock, Ska, Rock'n'Roll und Folk, die einen Optimismus versprühen, den man nur bekommt, wenn man zu viele Tourneen überlebt hat. Auf jedem der Tracks sind Gastmusiker*innen zu hören, welche die Band irgendwo auf ihrem langen, chaotischen Weg getroffen haben. Diese Freund*innen aus verschiedenen Szenen und Ländern verwandeln die EP in eine laute Feier der Gemeinschaft, der Zusammenarbeit und der Magie, sich gegenseitig zu helfen, anstatt so zu tun, als hätte man alles im Griff. Die EP kommt zusammen mit einem von der Band erstellten Fanzine, welches Songtexte, Akkorde und Geschichten aus dem DIY Alltag der Band enthält. So geht es um lange Nächte, gerissenen Saiten und immer wieder um kaputte Transporter. Trotz des Chaos ist es eine unmissverständliche Liebeserklärung an das Selbermachen. With four albums already behind them, Sababa 5 have earned global support, from Songlines magazine and BBC Radio 6 Music tastemakers including Gilles Peterson, Jamz Supernova and Iggy Pop to France’s FIP Radio and Radio Nova, for their unique blend of traditional Middle Eastern celebration music with psychedelic grooves, funk, jazz, rock, and international vocal collaborations spanning Japan to India. The Paris-based group have taken this sound to stages across Europe, including Reeperbahn Festival and Dresden’s Super Fest.

Ça Va Ça Va is the band’s hafla album – a return to the wedding and event celebration music that first shaped Sababa 5. Recorded in Paris, it draws directly from the sounds of hafla – the joyful, communal music heard at Middle Eastern weddings, parties and festive gatherings – with a sprinkling of influences from the wider Mediterranean. The group utilise their classic combination of electric guitar, bass, drums, organ, and synths to transform these ideas into vibrant melodies, dance-ready rhythms, and a spirit of abundance and
togetherness.
Opening track “Bienvenue” sets the tone with a mysterious, longing guitar solo before bursting into an irresistible rhythm and jubilant guitar motif. It flows seamlessly into “Allô”, straight into wedding-riot territory – a fast-rising instrumental that showers the dancefloor with energy as it builds around a hypnotic, arpeggio-driven riff. The album is almost entirely original material, with two key exceptions: “Ypárcho” (I Exist), a beautiful instrumental journey inspired by a classic Greek song traditionally performed by Stelios Kazantzidis, and “Asunsan”, an instrumental flip of the much-loved Sababa 5 collaboration “Nasnusa” with Yurika Hanashima. Another impressive step in the Sababa 5 story, Ça Va Ça Va captures both joy and longing – the unmistakable warmth of Eastern Mediterranean celebration and the band’s surf-rock edge – sounding more confident, spirited and deeply rooted than ever.

Die neue EP der irischen Songwriterin Lisa O"Neill besteht aus sechs Songs, darunter die eindringliche Version von Bob Dylans "All The Tired Horses", die Lisa für die Schlussszene der letzten Folge von Peaky Blinders aufgenommen hat, sowie "Homeless In The Thousands (Dublin in the Digital Age)" mit Peter Doherty, das bereits im Januar dieses Jahres als eigenständige Single veröffentlicht wurde. Es ist nicht das erste Mal, dass O"Neill über soziale Ungerechtigkeiten in Zeiten des Wandels schreibt. Lieder wie "Rock the Machine" über Arbeitslosigkeit in den Dubliner Docklands, "When Cash Was King" über den Übergang zu einer bargeldlosen Gesellschaft und "Violet Gibson" über die Irin, die 1926 versuchte, Mussolini zu ermorden - dieses neue Lied entstand als Reaktion auf das wachsende Problem der Obdachlosigkeit in Dublin und Irland. Ergänzt wird die EP durch einen neuen Song und den aktuellen Live-Favoriten "Mother Jones" über die irische Aktivistin Mary G. Harris Jones, die nach Amerika auswanderte und dort als Gewerkschaftsorganisatorin tätig war. Im Jahr 1902 wurde sie als "die gefährlichste Frau Amerikas" bezeichnet, nachdem sie Bergarbeiter gegen die Minenbesitzer mobilisiert hatte - ein Engagement, das direkt zur Einführung der ersten US-Gesetze gegen Kinderarbeit führte. Abgerundet wird die EP durch eine eindrucksvolle Version des zur Jahreszeit passenden "The Bleak Midwinter" sowie eine bewegende Rezitation des Gedichts "Autumn 1915" von James Stevens.

Inspired by the traditional Indian trio of tabla, flute, and tanpura, Ragini offers its mirrored jazz response: drums, saxophone, and double bass. This compilation brings together some of the best recordings by Los Indios from Bolivia, recorded during their brief time as a band, pioneers in blending beat sounds with garage rawness through a repertoire packed with covers of artists such as Deep Purple, Wilson Pickett, Eduardo Araujo (via Los Iracundos)_ The birth of Los Indios took place at a key moment for Bolivian music, in May 1968, during the "Festival de la Canción" held at the Félix Capriles Stadium. This event was a milestone for the so-called Bolivian new wave, featuring various groups from all over the country. A month later, Jorge Filipo Dalence, in association with Freddy Valdivieso, decided to launch their own band, Los Indios, ready to make their mark on the music scene. Their discography includes one LP and a handful of EPs released on the Caracol and Imperio labels. Their album not only showcases their musical talent but also represents an important moment in the evolution of rock in Bolivia. The combination of their unique style helped open new doors for other artists in the country's music scene. By 1969, the group was enjoying overwhelming success and widespread popularity. This is a joint release with the Peruvian label Rey Record and includes an insert with notes on the band's history

We decided to not edit and comping between different takes of each song but to choose which one to use on the base of general feeling and then add some post arrangements to emphasize specific passages. We definitely did not want to create a perfect Frankenstein but to take the listener in the room with us during the performance, as in concert".

Zepter sind eine neue, aufstrebende Heavy-Metal-Band aus Österreich, die 2024 gegründet wurde. Wenig später erschien, auf 100 Stück limitiert als Kassette, die erste EP »Inferno« über Ironbound (eine Vinyl-Ausgabe von Fucking Kill Records sowie eine CD-Edition durch Witches Brew folgten). Das Debütalbum von Zepter, welches über High Roller Records erscheint, bietet authentischen Heavy Metal der alten Schule mit catchy Hooks und geschmackvollen Twin-Harmony-Parts. Richie Blacker Northern Ireland’s progressive house & breaks prodigy who’s seen releases on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth, Scream’s Of Unsound Mind, Franky Wah’s Shen, Armada, Anjuna Deep and so many more including his own imprint Mess Express. We were super excited to sign the original breaks mix of ‘Snake Altar’, an amazing ethereal & euphoric progressive breaks track with its haunting ethnic vocals we just knew who could step up as the originator (this time) to remix the third Break-The-Future project.

Ray Keith delivered his signature sound system Jungle / Drum & Bass sound to which we think you’ll absolutely love, just oozing in class. The way it flows from euphoric to his heavy hitting signature darkness to deep jungle roots and back is exactly what we wanted from the big man himself and absolutely buzzing to have Ray on the label for our third release.

Athens-based percussionist and sound artist Yorgos Stavridis makes a stark, physical debut for Heat Crimes with »Solo Percussion«, a set of one-take improvisations that approach percussion as a field of friction between body, objects, space, and sound. Working with membranes, metals, found objects, and feedback systems, Stavridis foregrounds timbre, texture, and spatial presence, collapsing distinctions between instrument, environment, and recording apparatus.

Microphones and speakers are treated as unstable instruments in their own right, introducing opaqueness, resistance, and feedback into the performative chain. Scrapes, low-end pressure, brittle metallic chatter, and sudden bursts of resonance emerge through close bodily engagement with surfaces and materials, each piece documenting a specific configuration of objects, gestures, and acoustic conditions. Performed and recorded live, »Solo Percussion« captures sound in its most contingent state; situational, physical, and irreducibly present. Eschewing narrative, pulse, or formal development, the record sits squarely in Heat Crimes’ lineage of process-led, uncompromising sonic research, where listening becomes an active, tactile act and sound itself is the primary event.
