Pearl River Sound - Selected Works 17-24 is a unique sonic archive of Roberto Semeraro, known as Pearl River Sound, one of the most eclectic experimenters in the Italian electronic scene. This collection compiles years of research and sonic exploration, featuring previously unreleased tracks that have never been pressed on vinyl. Moving fluidly between idm textures, deconstructed techno, glitch, breakbeat rhythms, and ambient incursions, each track represents a moment in Pearl River Sound's artistic journey between 2017 and 2024. This release is part of LOSTINLAYOUT GALLERY's participation in the exhibition at EXP - Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, running from April 26, 2025, as part of the group show "THE ART OF TOMORROW. TODAY #1." The exhibition features works by four urban artists: LUCA FONT, JOYS, STEN & LEX, and V3RBO. Each print is randomly paired with a 10x15 cm postcard insert showcasing an artwork by one of the four visual artists.

LA based producer Eric Spire released some very forward thinking music on his Silver Pearl label back in the late 90’s. This type of heavy, psychedelic house music was the bridge to a new era of sound and grabbed a lot of attention from the likes of Craig Richards & Lee Burridge’s Tyrant nights at Fabric and DJ Garth to name a few.
Now, 2 decades later, Sushitech and label head Yossi Amoyal compiled a unique series that includes some of the most inspiring and hard to find tracks out of the Silver Pearl back catalogue.
This is an exclusive insight to one of the most inspiring underground labels coming from the west coast. Essential!

Highly referential, but never pastiche, the sound world draws from IDM, mutant hardcore stylings, grime, 80s fantasy, and pulp cinema.
‘What the fuck?’ moments of full throttle breakbeat pressure are counter-poised with the liminal robot romanticism of heart-rendingly detuned electronica. Eschewing refinement and polish for raw sensibility, the 'Top Shelf Material EP' is emotive and propulsive, playful and tragic, wistful and optimistic. We couldn't recommend it more.

Originally released in 1973, Black Pearl’s overall sound is the epitome of cool, orchestral funk / dramatic styles of the 1970s (e.g. “Next Stop LA”, “Collect”, “Oh! Militia”, “Choctaw”, “Black Pearl”, and “Blue Shadow”). Also featured are several more romantic, laid-back, emotive pieces such as “Miraculous Dream”, “Tryst”, “Sunny Monday”, “Melody and Lace”, “Monochrome”, “No Return”. Not to mention a couple of surprise solo honky-tonk piano jaunts – “The Vamp” and “Night of the Garter”.An eclectic mix that is sure to pique anyone’s interest. The album was produced by Alan Parker and Alan Hawkshaw, who is perhaps best-known for composing “The Champ”, which has been widely sampled and emulated by hip hop artists.“Library records are a collection of little one-minute pieces for soundtracks recorded by session musicians for movies, TV, student films, whatever. I don’t actually know the story behind when, why, or where they were made but…there were a bunch of different labels that made them and still probably do, and I was on the hunt for any recorded between 1969 and 1976. They all have random song titles like “Bouncy Strut” with descriptions like “hard-driving beat with percussion.” So imagine how much funky shit is on them. One month after releasing “Vitalogy” , Pearl Jam performed ten songs on a radio show hosted by Eddie Vedder on January 8th, 1995 in a Seattle home-studio. This recordings was also the live debut for their new drummer Jack Irons, one of the original found- ing members of Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Haggerston-based production wizard Jeigo kicks off the year after a standout 2024 by serving his own label Fleurella Records' first release. For the occasion, he reissues his track 'Pearl Leaf' which sits in between the worlds of Bicep, Sasha and UKG. It has floating pads and airy, organic beats that carry you away on a melancholic mood with deeply buried vocals adding a blurry, heart-tugging hook. On the flip are two new and unheard jams. 'Headpains' is full of a flurry of breaks but is also laden with introspective emotion in the vocals and chords and 'The Days You Were Here' is a more downtempo cut with shimmering pads, pitched-up vocals and languid bass.
