Schneeweißes Vinyl. Zum ersten Mal seit seinem viralen Weihnachtsalbum ,A Joyful Sound", das 2020 rausgekommen ist, ist Kelly Finnigan (Monophonics) mit zwei neuen Original-Weihnachtsliedern zurück. ,I Can't Wait (For Christmas Time)" ist ein schwerer, aber entspannter Song mit einem geradlinigen Pop-Arrangement. Es ist dieser Rust-Belt-Soul-Sound mit den Harmonien, die südkalifornische Cruiser beflügeln: tief und emotional, mit genau der richtigen Instrumentierung, um Finnigans zarte Stimme in den Vordergrund zu rücken. Der Song wird auch von seiner Labelkollegin Kendra Morris und ihrer Band im Hintergrundgesang begleitet. Ähnlich wie frühere KF-Veröffentlichungen oder Perlen von The Escorts oder The Four Mints ist diese Platte für dich und deine Lieben gedacht, verpackt in hübsches Papier unter dem Baum bis zum Weihnachtsmorgen. Dann lass noch etwas Platz für Plätzchen und die B-Seite... ,Snowy Night In Ohio" fühlt sich an wie ein langsam fahrender Mitternachtszug, der sich von Cincinnati nach Memphis auf den Weg macht. Inspiriert von Finnigans erstem Winter in Ohio, seiner Liebe zu Gospelplatten und den Hornarrangements von Isaac Hayes. Dies ist ein wirklich herausragendes Instrumentalstück, das eiskalte Seele versprüht. Es enthält eine kurze Gesangsbotschaft von Finnigan, die sich wie ein Zeugnis und ein Herzensanliegen anfühlt. Mit dabei sind Terry Cole und Jimmy James von Colemine sowie Billy Aukstik und Morgan Price.

Bei einer Bandgeschichte wie bei ’The Kelly Family’ gibt es natürlich viele Highlights! Wenn es aber um
Konzerte geht, gibt es in dem Bereich ein paar, die ganz oben stehen.
Als die Band 1995 zum ersten Mal auf der Loreley spielen sollte, war die Aufregung immens. Grosse
Open Air Konzerte waren noch nicht der Alltag und dann sollte diese Show auch noch Live im Fernsehen
übertragen werden. Es gilt bis heute als eines ihrer besten Live-Konzerte, welches aufgezeichnet wurde.
Und auch nach 30 Jahren berühren die Aufnahmen dieser Show immer noch Menschen weltweit.
Jetzt zum 30. Jubiläum soll das gefeiert werden! Am 02.10.2025 erscheint dieses legendäre Konzert in
einer „Deluxe Edition“ auf DVD und 2 CD’s und über 30 Seiten voll mit tollen Fotos.
Alle Vinyl Fans dürfen sich auch auf eine 3LP Coloured Vinyl Edition inkl. 4-seitigem Booklet freuen. Diese

Good thingscome to those who wait_and here it is!"The instrumental B, Harpsichord Rock, comes straight out of some sort oflost 1970's Italian movie. Entirely written and recorded by Lee, it's a hypnoticjam with a groove. The mood: funk.

Kid Katana Records teamed up once again with DON’T NOD to release Lost Records: Bloom & Rage OST on vinyl.



This album accompanies the adventure of four teenage girls between 1995 and 2022, in the seemingly sleepy little town of Velvet Cove, Michigan.


With their growing friendship embodied by their punk band, music plays a key role in both the story and gameplay. The A-track 'Keep Me In Mind' is a catchy, straight-down-the-middle soul tune in the classic dual male duo style of Sam & Dave, Eddie & Ernie, and Bob & Gene. Featuring organ and classic horn stabs, Kelly and Renaldo's voices blend harmoniously and make for a killer cut. The B-side, 'Let Me Count The Reasons,' is a track from Kelly's critically acclaimed new LP 'A Lover Was Born.' Slower in tempo and full of love and heart, the tune is a masterclass in romantic soulful sounds.

Pat Kelly out of all the Jamaican singers was influenced most by the voice of American soul singer Sam Cooke.As were indeed many of the singers from that time,few however could carry out this daunting task as well as Pat Kelly.
His delivery was perfect and so was his ability to carry any song that came his way.
Pat Kelly (born 1949,Kingston,Jamaica) began his singing career in 1967 when he replaced Slim Smith as lead singer of The Techniques,his voice working so well with the impeccable harmonies of Winston Riley and Bruce Ruffin.
Their first hit for the mighty Duke Reid stable was a version of Curtis Mayfield's tune 'You'll Want Me Back' retitled 'You Don't Care' which held the Number 1 slot in Jamaica for the six weeks.
For this release we have focused on material that Mr.Kelly had recorded with legendary Jamaican prodcer Bunny'Striker'Lee.
A match made in heaven and one that produced some of their finest work.
