His singing as being in the same kind of soul groove as the late and great Otis Redding. Ken’s tradition, though, is based in the powerful religious messages reflected in the native Jamaican religion. “The Firebird” is a ballet and orchestral concert work by the Russian composer Igor Stravinsky. It was written for the 1910 Paris season of

Sergei Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes company based on the Russian fairy tales of the Firebird and the blessing and curse it possesses

for its owner. The Firebird’s mortal and supernatural elements are distinguished with a system of leitmotifs placed in the harmony dubbed

“leit-harmony”. Stravinsky intentionally used many specialist techniques in the orchestra, including ponticello, col legno, flautando, glissando,

and flutter-tonguing. Set in the evil immortal Koschei’s castle, the ballet follows Prince Ivan, who battles Koschei with the help of the magical Firebird.

'Good Time' is the debut album from Austin, TX noise-pop band DAIISTAR, due out September 8th via Fuzz Club. Star People is a 1983 album by the famous jazz trumpeter and composer Miles Davis. It is the first to feature electric guitarist John Scofield, who was recommended by saxophonist Bill Evans, and the last to be produced by long-standing collaborator Teo Macero. Bassist Marcus Miller plays on five of the tracks. Electric guitarist Mike Stern features on most of the pieces, and drummer Al Foster and percussionist Mino Cinelu round out the rhythm section. Davis played trumpet and Oberheim synthesizer simultaneously (without using overdubs), and on separately recorded interludes for the over-18-minute-long blues composition ""Star People"". They began working together when Rowland - a drummer by trade, then creaky and exhausted from waking up at dawn to work construction - decided to channel those struggles into song. If Gettin' It was going to be Too $hort's last album, he was going off on a high note by earning his 6th Platinum record. In addition to having Parliament Funkadelic contribute to two songs, Ant Banks and Shorty B are back with their laid-back Bay Area funk along with some G-Funk contributions by Colin Wolfe, L.A. Geschrieben wurden die Hauptteile der Songs auf 'Fever Dreams' im Laufe von zwei Jahren, aufgenommen wurden sie in einer Reihe von Full-Band-Studio-Sessions Ende 2019 und Anfang 2020. Während der langen, entschleunigten Pandemie-Tage verfeinerte O'Brien sie in seinem winzigen Heimstudio in Dublin. Gemischt wurde das Album von David Wrench (Frank Ocean, The XX, FKA Twigs).
