DERRYs Debut-EP, Horrorpunk/Punkrock, 6 Songs auf einseitig bespieltem transparent-orangefarbenden 12"-Vinyl über Loikaemies Fettfleck Records-Label! Thematisch hat sich die Band den Werken von Stephen King zugewandt. Remember The Curfew befasst sich dabei exklusiv mit der Stephen-King-Novelle ,IT" (zu Deutsch ,ES") und dem darin personalisierten Horror durch den Clown Pennywise und dessen zahlreicher Fassetten, aber auch wichtigen Themen wie der ersten Liebe, Freundschaft und Verlust. Mit Remember The Curfew geben die fünf Hessen der Horrorpunk-Band DERRY ihr Debüt auf Fettfleck Records. Nach dem im Sommer 2023 erschienenen ersten Demo-Song "The Kids Of Derry" kommt nun die Debut-EP. Inklusive rerecorded "The Kids Of Derry" sowie der Single "His Voice" und Fokustrack "Remember The Curfew" plus drei weiteren Songs, Erhältlich als 12" Vinyl-Auflage (einseitig bespielt) in limitiertem Trasparent Orange, CD sowie EP Digital!

Is this the future sound of black American jazz - an inclusive yet rhythmically complex groove based music that owes as a much to black urban culture - predominantly hip hop and trap music rhythms - as it does to jazz improv techniques and rhythms? It's certainly interesting that similar elements swim through the music of Robert Glasper and Kamasi Washington, who along with Scott are currently big box office, pulling-in substantial new audiences for their music. Ruler Rebel is the first album of a trilogy celebrating 100 years of recorded jazz, and will be followed by Diaspora and Emancipation Procrastination later. At the heart of this music are polyrhythmic grooves that might come from jazz, New Orleans black Indian music, trap, Malian rhythm Kassa Soro and the interplay between an SPD drum machine and live drumming. Largely featuring Scott's trumpet, the record introduces his articulate and frequently eloquent voice as the narrator of Ruler Rebel, much like the Persian Princess Scheherazade narrating her tales of the mysterious east to Sultan Shahriar over one thousand and one nights. A key track is `Encryption', a summation of Scott's direction of travel on the album. Here the running rhythm is derived from the New Orleansian Afro-Indian culture married with Malian Kassa Soro. This is in turn is layered with SPD-SX electronic drum machine and sampling machine played by Joe Dyson and Cory Fonsville that introduce rhythmic elements from trap and hip hop. Sounds complex? Well it is, but it works. Other highlights include `New Orleansian Love Song' and `New Orleansian Love Song II' and a celebration of Afro-Indian culture on `The Coronation of K. Atunde Adjuah'.

Alcatrazz was Jimmy Waldo's teddy bear's name as a kid, from there the band chose the name; originally they were to go with "The Rosie O'Donnell Experience", but later felt that would indicate sympathy with the celebrity. The band's initial line-up consisted of Graham Bonnet (lead vocals), Yngwie Malmsteen (guitar), Gary Shea (bass), Jimmy Waldo (keyboards, vocals) and Jan Uvena (drums, vocals). Auf dem Album nimmt uns Lynks mit auf eine lebendige Tour durch die moderne Queer-Kultur, die von Gelegenheitssex, wilden Fantasien, chaotischen Irrungen und Wirrungen und einer einseitigen Liebesaffäre mit einem heterosexuellen Tennistrainer geprägt ist.

Selbst geschrieben, selbst produziert und selbstverherrlichend vereint das Debütalbum die künstlerische und persönliche Entwicklung der letzten fünf Jahre. Während die früheren Werke einen Stil aus Effekten und gepitchten Vocals verbanden, gibt 'ABOMINATION' Lynks den Raum, auf eine andere Art zu experimentieren – mit einer größeren Bandbreite an Ideen, Gesangsstilen und neuen Genreelementen. Paul Pecho schüttelt einfach - mir nichts, dir nichts - zwei psychedelische Garagerock-Perlen aus dem Ärmel. Oder sind es garagige Psych-Perlen? Paul ist sonst Sänger und Gitarrist bei den doomig-psychedelischen BLACK SALVATION (Leipzig/Relapse Records). Für seine Solo-Debüt-Single hat er alles selbst eingespielt und gleich noch schicke Videos dazu gedreht. "Neatly Framed" ist ein verschrobener 2-Minute-Banger, der an Ty Segall in seiner "Melted"-Phase erinnert. "Curtis Yellingmouth" fährt das Tempo etwas runter und kriecht als leicht kaputter LoFi-Ohrwurm direkt ins Belohnungszentrum des Hirns.

Hit La Rosa are the heirs of the psychedelic cumbia of Los Mirlos and Los Destellos. The band explores the many facets of Peruvian cumbia music, infusing it with pop music, folklore, jazz and dancehall to produce its distinctive grooves and hooks. “Ceres Entrópicos” it’s a collage of the landscapes and rhythms of Peru, product of sound exploration and free composition. This special edition of the original album has some remarkable additions like ‘El Pongo’, their single with the legendary amazonian group Los Mirlos and the remixes of the outstanding Latin producers El Remolón (Ar) and Ballcap (Mx). The band's precise-yet-dreamlike music and punk sensibility all come together to make music that explores life's shadowy sides. They are one of the Peruvian bands with the biggest international growth and one of the few with a Tiny Desk Session. The band is inspired by the sound of Peruvian Cumbia roots and also explores the folklore of other cultures around the world. Their experimentation is wrapped with a contemporary sound and psychedelic vibe that blends into a particular and unique harmony. The band hit Lima's underground scene in 2014 and released their first studio album in 2017 called "Hit La Rosa y Su Gran Unidad Tropical". In 2021 they released “Ceres Entrópicos”, their secondstudio album (digital only). NIGHT MIASMA with members from East German Postpunk-band L'APPEL DU VIDE plays a seldom heard mix of Dark Punk with a very melodic edge reminescent of early LA-Punkbands like Adolescents, 45 Grave or T.S.O.L.. Deep and harmonic vocals borrowed from old british or belgian Postpunkbands and a creepy Coldwave-organ build up a melancholic atmosphere. But the four songs never drift into depressing territory. Melodic guitar hooks and up-tempo drums create a positve despair.
