Mental Groove Records is thrilled to announce Bigeneric's new double album entitled 'Spielmanda' in collaboration with the artist own INZEC imprint. Swiss artist Marco Repetto is the chromatic brain behind Bigeneric musical project and has a strong background in the burgeoning scenes of minimal synth (Grauzone with Stephan Eicher), early techno (Synectics on Aphex Twins' Rephlex imprint) and ambient / trance (Planet Love on Superstition). Spielmanda album reflects the artist deep love for nature, psychedelia, health and futurism. The title is borrowed from a book by Berner writer and myths researcher Sergius Golowin and is a fictional legendary and mystic place in the Swiss pre-alps, a place that Marco Repetto explores through the 16 tracks of this album that he has constructed and tested at numerous performances. Michele Mininni's Hyper Martino EP is a strange adventure in sound, the finest example of music noir and engaging story of audio science fiction. Michele hails from South Italy and counts everything from post-punk, krautrock to new wave, house and disco amongst his influences. He's been a DJ for years but only in 2014 has released his debut Tupolev Love EP on Glasgow's Optimo Trax. He immediately found himself in the spotlight of discerning DJs and music collectors alike. After a few months he released another highly acclaimed EP entitled Endless Ceremony on Belgian label Curle. And now, after a short hiatus he returns with his latest Hyper Martino EP radiating oblique and unpredictable sounds. Marko Fürstenberg - 'Ghosts From The Past' In certain ever present moments, the ghosts from the past are following us. And sometimes they do so in order to gently help us on our way. We can find this theme on Marko Fürstenberg's latest release 'Ghosts From The Past'. Marko, currently living in Leipzig, has been experimenting with sound since 1999. Rooted in classical Dubtechno, he not only knows how to interpret it, he's extending it further with his own personal aesthetic. In 2001, his first releases on a number of netlabels gained him a broad listenership. Then in 2003, his first album 'Gesamtlaufzeit' was born. (Then years later, a son was born as well, but we'll get back to that.) Since 2005, Marko has been constantly releasing Vinyl on labels like Ornaments, A.r.t.less, Echocord Colour and Rotary Cocktail. And also remixes for labels such as Resopal, Telrae, Freund der Familie, and many more, which all demonstrates the quality and sheer competence of his work.
