In case you didn't know already HitMan is a Dubstep Producer and part of the Dub Faktory Group and Dubstar Records. He originally started off as a Jungle/Drum & Bass DJ and switched to MCing, doing pirate and internet radio based around London, also MCing at most of the venues in his then home town - Croydon (between 1997 - 2000).

'Hurt inside' is mixture of old school house and UK funky. The track is currently been supported by a range of DJ's including Marcus Nasty, Brackles and DJ Footloose. 'Intruder' contains raw beats and bass.

Shortstuff dribbled this EP out of his arse. It took him 12 months. he worried about everything, accomplished nothing, and then called it something stupid. By the end of the process, everybody at RAMP wanted to die. The end result is a 6 track EP, released on 3 separate 10" throughout August. Locked On Records is undeniably one of the most iconic platforms for UK dance music, home to records that created cultural movements including The Streets - Original Pirate Material. Over 20 years on, and as the UK experiences a full blown garage, 2-step, jungle and hardcore revival, Locked On now gearing up to relaunch with two energetic, forward-thinking remixes of a stone-cold classic, Antonio’s Hyperfunk.

These fresh reworks embody the sound of the new-gen garage movement while also capturing the spirit of the original, old skool 2-step vibe; the lead remix comes courtesy of rising star Bklava. Bklava is an incredibly exciting multifaceted talent. Carving out a unique space for herself in the UK scene; her infectious productions and intricate live PA/DJ set incorporating her own vocals fuse an addictive and unique blend of sugar-sweet pop melodies, wobbling basslines and bouncy four to the floor beats. Her futuristic, inimitable take on the genre is an incredible match for the relaunch of Locked On Records.

Dead Moon, a three-piece from Portland, Oregon, were known for their own particular brand of rootsy garage punk. Their music conjured images of hard-luck easy riders and lovers against the world. While their sound alternated between moody and aggressive, it was always remarkably genuine and energetic. The band was fronted by the husband-and-wife team of Fred and Toody Cole. Many years and many bands later (after living through experiences as varied as homesteading in Alaska, dodging the Vietnam War draft, and hunting bears), the two formed a punk band called the Rats. Later, after adding Andrew Loomis on drums, Dead Moon were formed in 1987. Going South is an incredibly intense live recording from the band's legendary 20-date first tour of New Zealand. Recorded before an audience of about 40 people in Invercargill (Keith Richards called it "the arsehole of the world"), this is Dead Moon at their most savage and intense, the way they were meant to be heard! Toody Cole recalled that the band had been invited to open for Nirvana that year, but one of Fred Cole's ironfast rules was "never cancel a gig you committed to for a better one." So Dead Moon burned through New Zealand as planned. Recorded live at the Glengarry Tavern, Invercargill New Zealand Saturday September 5th 1992, and repressed for the second time in a small edition.

Joy Anonymous is the brainchild of Henry Counsell, a collective encompassing music, live events and the deeper mission of bringing people together over lockdown.

Henry and his production/creative partner Louis Curran started out delivering a series of spontaneous performances at London’s South Bank: soon, the sight of two silhouettes in camping chairs on the Thames beach evolved from just passing strangers into a genuine movement, all brought together via Joy Anonymous’ love of connection, community, and dance culture. This is vividly captured in Joy Anonymous’ first project, ‘Human Again’: a genre-spanning body of work, whose elements of house, soul, disco and pop has seen them earn early co-signs from the likes of Fred Again Fred Again and The Blessed Madonna The Blessed Madonna. Capturing the collective’s innate spontaneity - field recordings of their now-legendary parties can be heard throughout the record - ‘Human Again’ is as much a poignant time-capsule of what it means to be alive right now as it is a future-soundtrack for good times to come.

Wednesday 24th November - Kojey Radical, one of the UK's most influential musical voices, today announces details of his highly-anticipated debut album. Titled Reason To Smile, the 15 track album will be released on 4th March 2021 via Asylum / Atlantic Records. It features guest appearances from Tiana Major9, Masego, Shaé Universe, Cash, Kelis, Lex Amor, Knucks, Shakka, Wretch 32, Ego Ella May and Rex Life Raj and his own mother (whose voice weaves throughout the record) alongside a who's-who of global production talent including KZ, Swindle, Jay Prince, iO, The FaNaTiX, Cadenza, 169, Venna, Ric & Thadeus, Blue Lab Beats, Emil Larbi, Mr Cutts and Ed Thomas.

Having already made such an indelible mark on British music it's hard to believe that Kojey Radical has never released an album. Over four previous EPs, Kojey Radical has given people greatness but on Reason To Smile he's striving for perfection. Defined by a sound he describes as "space and bass" and featuring the singles "War Outside (ft Lex Amor)" and "Gangsta", Reason To Smile is without doubt Kojey Radical's most ambitious and complete work to date and an emphatic statement of the levels at which he operates.

Kojey Radical today also announces details of his “From Me To You” tour. Commencing on 4th March (album release day), the tour will see Kojey partner with record stores across the UK for a run of in-store and out-store shows and signings throughout album release week. These intimate shows will be a rare opportunity to see Kojey Radical so up close and personal and are sure to sell out quickly

In the late 1970’s Cazeaux O.S.L.O.’s mother contributed to the Brown [read Black is beautiful] American cultural treasure chest by dancing on a television show called Soul Train. This is fresh, truly fly and absolutely cold crush. He made a song about it. That’s the truth. It was first performed at an instore appearance at Northside Records in 2018 which brought the house down and Chris Gill has been hassling the band to release the song ever since. It only seems fitting Northside ended up pressing this gem to wax! On the A-Side we have the original version in true So.Crates boom-bap soulful fashion, and on the B-Side Skomes digs into his UK Garage roots and ups the tempo for the club! Fresh!

Comprised of songwriter/ producer/ multi-instrumentalist extraordinaires Alec Kersenboom and Anthony Masino (Lee Fields, Thee Sacred Souls, Jensine Benitez, Junior Scaife et al), the group delivers a pair of pop nuggets that draw from the deeper end of the British Invasion spectrum. Similar to some the American teen combos that were blaring out of suburban garages throughout the mid-sixties, The Emkays deliver their brand of anglophilic rock with a soulful earnestness that was absent from many of their British counterparts. The irony of which notwithstanding, The Emkays shine like the North Star, ready to guide a whole new generation of kids to their side of the pond.

We managed to pack a double LP with 19 tracks featuring 22 artists, including Blursome (whose releases on Scuba’s Hotflush Records have been compared to Burial) and Daniels Jack (with releases on Nervous Records and Desert Hearts, his track here is more akin to Blawan).
Also included is a totally sweet double-sided insert of custom tattoo flash-art commissioned and curated by the label founders. Lastly, there is a digital download code for all tracks (which includes extended mixes and secret songs).
