AA. VYBZ KARTEL & SPICE "ORIGINAL RAMPING SHOP" (CLEAN VERSION)

Laid back roots business from Ezkeil Parchment. Tight rhythm section and flowing vocals from Ezkeil about the war, it's non-necessity within this present day...and also a lack of solution in this destructive world we live in. Ezkeil's trademark vocal sounds awesome. Niceness

Barry Isaacs is a singer whose voice sometimes sounds like a cross between Barry Brown and the early Gregory Isaacs. He's an excellent songwriter with a progressive sound who belongs to a new generation of roots oriented U.K. singers. His humble delivery calls to mind the inspired work of the also U.K. based singer Vivian Jones.

Ghetto Priest aka Squidz: Singer/Songwriter/Recording artist/Live performer is one of the most flamboyant, creative performers to have emerged from the London music scene in the past few years. Ghetto Priest is a man at ease with multiple musical visions. Walk through the streets of London and you begin to grasp the flow and the rhythm that has produced his unique sound. It's a community of exchange; African/Caribbean and Irish, Asian and English, each mixing and informing the other, lending beats and grooves, keeping things fresh and new. Ghetto Priest born and raised in the east end of London to Afro-Caribbean parents has been on the reggae/Dub/experimental music scene now for over 2 decades.

Born in Jamaica, Hughie Izachaar came to England as a child. Raised by a strict family, after disobeying parental warnings not to attend sound systems he arrived home one evening to find his clothes on the doorstep and himself thrown out of home. Aged 17, he joined the British army as "the only alternative to being homeless on the streets," & spent several years in Germany. Following the army, he began playing music, working with artists like Pablo Gad & Ras Imru.

Tony Roots emerged on the UK roots reggae scene in the late 1980's as one of the most prolific song writers/singer for some time. Known extensively throughout Europe, which helped gained international recognition world wide, for the sincere passion, expressed and felt within his works. "Hola Zion", "Sufferer's Cry", "Chant", "This Love", "Pirates", "Ease Off", "Guide Us", "Good People" to name but a few of the numerous releases to date. Worked alongside many musicians and recording producers such as - Reggae on Top, Roots Hitek, Russ Brown (Disciples), Jah Warrior, Conscious Sounds, Zion Gate, Jetstar

PROFESSOR SKANK Limited red 10" VINYL WITH SOME OF THE DEEPEST DUB REGGAE CUTS AROUND

Mr Benn's debut album will be dropping in shops this Autumn and features collaborations with Blak Twang, The Ragga Twins, Serocee, Brother Culture and The Good People's Emskee amongst others to bring you that true sound of Bristol niceness. As well as toiling long and hard to complete the long-player, Mr Benn has been busy of late remixing Horace Andy and Lady Chann and collaborating with Mad Decent's South Rakkas Crew and DJing all over the place. It's hectic round his way to say the least...

Flip it over for "Pass Out (Wrongtom's Resuscitation)" a sleng-teng inspired take on a recent chart topper. This riddim track was completely recreated from scratch with his authentic 80s drum machine, with extra bass and fx thrown in to create a throwback digital dancehall classic, reminiscent of UK legends such as Smiley Culture, Tippa Irie and Daddy Rusty.

This 7" presents local underdog essence from a sleepy city - with a bell-based ragga-tune on the A and a local grocery store blockparty anthem on the B.

Take two of Jalapeno's most legendary producers and lock them in a studio with a load of analogue tape loop effects, a ska tastic brass band and a vocalist of the quality of Finley Quaye and pretty soon you are going to get some classy reggae business to lively up your dancefloor.

Ok they are not re-inventing the wheel but when it sounds this good they don't have to. The original Tape Loops material is just classic reggae then given a downtempo dub breaks remix by Featurecast and an uptempo funk looped re-rub by Smoove for those who don't want to rocksteady to the original Tape Loops sound.
For the rest open your ears, relax your gears and feel the vibe.

Side A - Daddy Freddy - Upfront (ISRC: QTV-UK-09-00010)
Upfront is a raggamuffin hip hop number by the inventor of the genre, and showcases Daddy
Freddy's conscious Rastaman facet. Freddy relates Biblical history on a mellow roots infused urban
riddim.
Side B - Daddy Freddy - Extravaganza (ISRC: QTV-UK-09-00011)
Extravaganza is Daddy Freddy's cut to the Chunky Riddim released last year. This vocal on the
grimey dancehall riddim track leaves no doubt as to why Daddy Freddy is the Guiness record
holder of the fastest MC in the world.
