The legendary SABOR DO BRASIL compilations are back, presenting the very best "Brazilian Comic" music. Volume 6 of the series continues to mesh spacey bits of synth and syncopated beats with Brazilian rhythms. Expect a fusion of cosmic dancefloor grooves and elements of Samba and Bossa rather than a straight roster of Brazilian music. The collection is including rare edits and long versions. Titles include "Partido Alto", "Chosen Ones", "African Roots", "Roda", "Drumm Drumm", "Hey Rio!" and more. A must for all discerning disco and Latin DJs!!!...

Fantastic and incredibly rare Afro-disco album from 1978. Originally released on the seminal French disco label Barclay, this album seamlessly blends elements of African, Afrobeat, Funk and Disco styles, with segments continually morphing and evolving into new tracks. Irresistibly funky and percussive, this album's drumming patterns and melodies grandually hypnotise the listener, with only outbreaks of African chanting breaking up the grooves. The B-side is effectively one long drum track broken down into 7 segments that never drop a beat. This album really takes the listener on a journey to Africa, via 1978 New York, and is a real one of a kind. It's also a samplers dream with no end of complex drum patterns and basslines to recycle.

In anticipation of the first full length Jukebox Jam compilation album (JMANCD/LP.046 - coming soon), we have decided to go back to where the whole thing started. The first single on the Jukebox Jam series, the pairing of the incredible Rose Mitchell and Jo Ann Henderson versions of 'Baby Please Don't Go', was an instant sell-out and ever since we've been inundated with requests to make it available again. Well, we finally decided to do that, and in fact went one better with this unique 45rpm 10" pressing, pressed with a 78rpm style label, housed in a specially made, hand screen-printed compan...

Just love the second line rhythms and electrifying guitar break on this fine uptempo blues outing on Flip, Sam Phillips'
