G-Prod are French brothers David & Nico Gaugain, who make deep techno, hugely influence by the sound from Detroit. Quickly gaining support on the scene from key DJ's Josh Wink, Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Dan Curtin & Fabrice Ligue, they have released on a well respected list of labels such as R&S, Soiree, Appian, Nightflight, Nebulae, Like, Lumina, Restructured, Visillusion, Specimen, Nice & Nasty, Logos, Intellitronic Bubble, Bakroom, Biotech, Naeba. Their latest release is on David Duriez imprint Brique Rouge. Remix duties go to Reedale Rise, an artist who is fast gaining an established following touring with his live sound and with releases on quality labels such as 20/20 Vision, Ornate, Frustrated Funk, Subwax, Boe Recordings, his remix will appeal to those who like their electro for the dancefloor.

'Symmetry Systems' is the new LP by Dennis Huddleston AKA 36. Inspired by Warp's 'Artificial Intelligence' releases from the early 90's, it's a melodic, synthesiser-driven record, with a wink to the past and a nod towards the future.

"I have a deep love for those early Warp albums, particularly the Artificial Intelligence compilations. It was a wonderful time for UK electronic music. That beautiful, warm machine sound, with an optimistic (if somewhat naive) vision for the future. I found the whole thing incredibly inspiring and wanted to revisit those memories, albeit with a 36 twist"

Like 'Wave Variations' before it, this record explores various approaches to the theme, with each track directly inspiring the next one. All tracks are sequenced in the order they were made. 'Symmetry Systems' is a collection of hypnotic machine music, made with a delicate human touch.

Greece's #1 dj and producer Echonomist teams up with renowned producer Jenia Tarsol for their debut on Afterlife. Renowned for his indie-electronic explorations, Echonomist has risen to prominence in recent years, establishing an untarnished reputation within the electronic music community. His sound is derived from a broad palette of tones, timbres and influences; from drum’n’bass to rock and jazz. Jenia Tarsol has appeared on a long list of influential labels, collaborating with some of the greats of our scene. His soulful productions invoke a spiritual depth, and his exquisite touch exemplifies the human experience with each new release.‘Panic Attack’ opens the release with an oscillating bassline and a rousing main riff. A disorientating vocal sample leads us into the main body of the track, which undergoes several phases of evolution. ‘Do You See It Yet’ channels new wave into the 21st Century, this is pure analogue synthesiser love from Echonomist and Jenia. Driving energy and hypnotic synth lines take this one to its natural conclusion. Finally, Echonomist closes the EP with a solo cut entitled ‘Purple Skyline’. The atmosphere treads a delicate line between melancholy and optimism, gently building up to an outburst of rhythm, percussion and invigorating melody in its second half.neo

Sean Dixon, known from previous releases on Clone and Rawax, is back on his own label Final Chapter.

On this colorful four track record called Generations EP, he’s joined by Sheffield´s John Shima.
Opening the EP is Generations I, a raw piece, with chord stabs that are dancing around the percussion sounds and organ bass, with a vocal on top. Followed up on the A-side is Generations ll, a Chicago and Detroit inspired track with wonderful lush strings one top of the drums and vocal,. Generations lll opens up the B-side, with wicked melodies and a funky bassline.

The B2 track Generations IV comes from John Shima, who is doing a rework on Sean´s original sounds, putting his characteristic feeling and touch to it.

Overthink Records is back with his 5th release presenting a new artist called Carriego, setting up a four track EP, including a differents styles like House, Techno, Electro and New beat, dancefloor beats for the club or the afters.

Dirty machine gun funk, dripping in fudgy acidic grooves on this twisted heater from native London badass Shy One. Techno collides with Jazz Fusion across three jams recorded straight out the box and cut exclusively onto wax for Eglo Records. This 7" marks the first in a series of releases from the kinetic, undefinable talent.

Following a fallow 2020, Marginal Returns is proud to present the solo debut of Berlin-based, Sardinian-born Enrica Falqui (who has previous releases as half of techno project Eris and half of experimental project Yhdessa).

Plexus splits the difference between Falqui's ambient and dance floor modes. Side A opener ‘Veda’ is a hopeful downbeat dawning, A2 ‘Mond’ a Burger/Ink reminiscent slice of Pop Ambient and side closer ’What She Got Right’ songful and contemplative. Side B is darker, faster, and for the night, containing the EBM-tinged stomp of ‘Plexus’ and afters-electro glide of ‘Aquarius’.

After the first output by Volantis, Alzaya is back with homeboy Nicodemo delivering a full EP with the remix cured by the Amsterdam-based producer, Heist regular and Quartet Series honcho, Nachtbraker. Ranging from Balearic vibes to tropical percussions, this release shifts through different moods and blurry edges, building up a classy combination of rhythm and atmosphere. Jumbled grooves moving in style from dreamy to sunset, while boogie basslines flail away next to analogue synth patterns and hypnotic sounds. This listening will feel you comfortable, tailored to those searching for dreamy textures, soulful sounds and disco-infused pads.

Spun Out Agency is honoured to present ‘More of that Frightful Oompty Boompty Music’, a compilation dedicated to the Guv’nor himself Mr Andrew Weatherall who should need no introduction on these pages. Released on vinyl in two beautiful parts, the first drops on April 15th with the second following two weeks after.

‘More of that Frightful Oompty Boompty Music’ (yes we are going to write that out every time we talk about it in this communique) showcases a selection of the shining greatness from the agency’s roster. Paranoid London, Fantastic Twins, Mehmet Aslan, Autarkic, Ruf Dug, Sean Johnston, and Manfredas gift exclusive tracks which highlight the sublime acid, techno and house sound that Weatherall would have described as “oopmty-boompty” music.

Spun Out is a London-based artist booking agency which has been run by Caroline Hayes for over 20 splendid years, that looked after the life and times of Andrew Weatherall alongside his partnership with Sean Johnston under their A Love From Outer Space moniker, and the likes of Optimo (Espacio), Ivan Smagghe, Josh Caffe, Man Power, Body Hammer, Kiara Scuro and many more artists, doing it differently.

Kicking off the A-side of the first record is Hardway Bros’ (aka Sean Johnston) previously unreleased remix of We Are The Axis by The Asphodells, the duo consisting of the Andrew Weatherall and former Battant member and Spun Out talent Timothy J. Fairplay. An energetic techno stomper with percussive rhythms, this exclusive remix offers the ideal tantalising dose to tease any dancefloor. The vocals and synth layers give it a punk rock approach, referencing the multi-genre essence of Weatherall’s taste in music.

Tel-Aviv-based Autarkic’s Sleepover closes the A-side with a chuggy lullaby, one that is certainly unsuitable for putting a baby to bed, given its intricate acid lines of total hypnosis. Following on the B-side is Manctalo Banger, a house bop by the Manchester-via-Ibiza computer game nerd and vinyl digger Ruf Dug, and Shizowaves, Turkish-born Basel-based Mehmet Aslan’s soulful touch to the compilation, bringing Middle-Eastern percussive melodies and catchy basslines.

The second record is introduced by Paranoid London, with a Spun Out dedicated acid techno banger appropriately titled Spinning Out and Fantastic Twins’ EBM track Kali’s Tongue Was A Weapon. On the B-side is Lithuanian chug legend Manfredas’ Hfuhruhurr, and Naum Gabo, who closes the compilation with the chaotic analogue-synth frenzy, Cold Sold. The name Naum Gabo may evoke the pioneer of Russian constructivism, who rose to fame thanks to his crazy kinetic sculptures. However, here it manifests as one half of Spun Out’s Optimo duo Jonnie Wilkes (JG Wikes) and James Savage. The duo’s impeccable manipulation of electronic hardware couldn’t give a better homage to him.

Some highlights for Spun Out artists this summer include 9 acts from the roster playing at Houghton Festival, Paranoid London’s show at Sonar Festival, Love International Festival and Ransom Note’s festival with Optimo Watching Trees.

One of the most enticing features of music-drenched city nightlife is the opportunity to make experiences beyond one's own imagination, acting out needs and expressing
desires free from any conventions. Sometimes as anonymously as possible in an environment as namelessly as possible. Liberating oneself is the yardstick and self-expression consists of exactly that.
Less, who just recently drew attention to himself with an emotional, depth charged Ambient album on (in)famous Freude Am Tanzen label, now delivers a rhythmically merciless ode to a club life marked by hedonism and fetishism, well matched the rugged
Destroy All Monsters label. The two dirty, dark techno tracks of the Berliner-by-choice become explicitly what they promise through the respective vocals of Spogmei and Leah alike: Hymns to the night that only want one thing: Play_Me!

Alien Recordings was born in the late 80's by Andy Panayi and
Alec Stone, out of a love of music and DJing. They also ran a
night around London called Alienation, playing a mix of house,
electro, breakbeat and techno. They're back as (An) Alien with
new material for your listening pleasure; alongside music by
legend Terry Francis as well as Panayi and Stone themselves
(A²), the likes of Stopouts (Rob Collman + Navigator) were
staples of the imprint and they front up for "Tales From The
Archives Part 2.2". There's the brooding Drexciyan electro funk
of "Kill All Humans" originally from 1998, a remastered version
of "Sandstorm" from their release on Robin Ball's
Groovepressure imprint in 1999 and on the B side is the
underwater cybernetic epic "Freaks" by A².

Am 27. Mai erscheint mit „TRON: Legacy Reconfigured“ die Wiederveröffentlichung des Remix-Albums
zum Soundtrack von Daft Punk zu „TRON: Legacy“. Seine ursprüngliche Veröffentlichung hatte das Album am 5. April 2011 und erscheint nun wieder pünktlich auf Vinyl zum 40-jährigen Jubiläum des ersten „TRON“-Films.

Das Album enthält Remixe einzelner Titel aus dem Soundtrack zu „TRON: Legacy“ von Artists der elektronischen Musik wie M83, Avicii, Boys Noize, Moby, Paul Oakenfold und viele weitere.
In mehreren Ländern war das Album in den Charts und erreichte Platz eins der Billboard Dance/Electronic
Charts.

Cygnus "Neon Flux" is a selection of remastered tracks from his under-the-radar digital release "Rainy Days" (Biosoft Records). Comin' in hot via Dallas, TX... Smashin' the thermometer w/ the dirty south electro heaters!! Don't mess with Texas!!

Iguana is the debut release of Dead Husband on Bordello A Parigi. The American group push their unique sound to new levels across this EP. Tracks, like the title piece, pace on skeletal beats with lyrics soaked into melody to create a bliss steeped style touched with melancholy. “Memory” trills with a similarly emotive tone. A lovelorn line marches to a pulsating drum. Machine words speak, melting with tear-stained chords in a contemporary work fitting of the modern romantics. The B-Side adopts a new complexion with “They’ll Be Fine Without You.” Despite the finality of the title, the track courses with an invigorating energy as rhythms race next effervescent notes. Percussive patterns quicken for the close, “Lake.” Sheer crystalline keys scale skyward, dancing and writhing between steady kicks and echoing voice. Synthesizer gems care of this Boston based outfit.
