A futuristic techno-dub track featuring pinched, glassy drumwork wrapped around a pseudo-acid riff. Born during the aftermath of a questionable decision of two friends meeting early in the morning after separate all-night adventures, hence the title: Down the Wrong Road…..

DJ Yoda teams up with the mighty Nubya Garcia and Boston Hip-Hop legend Ed O.G. for ‘Roxbury’. Originally released on Yoda’s ‘Home Cooking’ it’s been lovingly remixed but the originators of cut and paste Double Dee & Steinski. The b-side is Yoda’s collaboration with Joel Culpepper ‘London Fields’. This too has been remixed and this time it’s by Lewis Recordings labelmates The Still Brothers

Joseph & Indira's ‘Mantra’ is another testament to ARTCORE's ever-increasing weight in Techno and global electronic dance music and features a duo of racy cuts laden with signature sonics from both artists, kicking off with 'Ananda' and its potent classic Techno feel, with a prominent Capriati core of thumping kicks, crisp percussive drive and progressive energy shifts and playful twists, laced with Indira's hypnotic exotic vocal chops and gritty LFO shots.

'Mantra' rounds off the release with an inverted sound transition, leaning heavier into the 'Psy' sound that has seen Indira's notoriety skyrocket. Flooded with undulating low-end movement, creative off-beat flare, shifting rhythmic patterns and uplifting musicality, its immersive blend of darker sounds and spiritually utopian nuances makes for an undeniably unique statement track.

Kein anderer Künstler unserer Zeit dominiert Pop und Politik wie Kendrick Lamar: Er ist der junge König des Rap, die schonungslose Stimme der Alternativdenker, Armen & Anderen, der größte, einflussreichste MC des neuen Jahrtausends. Nachdem er vor kurzem seine neuen Sensations-Single - HUMBLE.' vom Stapel gelassen hat, folgt nun sein neues Album. Nach dem fulminanten Doppelerfolg bei den Grammys 2014 setzte Kendrick Lamar seinen Siegeszug 2015 dem Hit-Album - To Pimp A Butterfly' fort, das als - ein Meisterwerk der Komplexität, politisch, musikalisch und konzeptionell' (Die Welt) gefeiert wurde und rund um den Globus die Spitze der Charts erstürmte (u. a. #1 D, #1 USA). Anfang 2016 räumte er für das Album gleich fünf Grammys ab. Im März letzten Jahres legte er dann überraschend mit - untitled unmastered' ein neues Werk vor, um die Wartezeit auf die nun kommende LP zu verkürzen: Auch diese - unfertigen, titellosen Rohversionen' eroberten direkt die Spitze der Billboard-200. Mit einem neuen Album festigt er seine Position auf demjenigen Thron, auf dem er nun schon seit Jahren sitzt: Bevor der - König von Compton' (Der Spiegel) im Sommer seinen Dreißigsten feiert, läutet er nun das vierte Kapitel seiner Ausnahmekarriere ein.

Der Nachfolger ihres von allen Seiten gefeierten selbstbetitelten Debüts von 2014, das Minimal Techno mit orchestralen Schnörkeln und schwereloser Produktion neu interpretierte - ist endlich da. "II" ist lebendiger, aber es behält immer noch den charakteristischen Kiasmos-Stil des Übergangs von einer flüsternden, ruhigen Atmosphäre zu einem explosiven Dance-Beat, der aus den Socken haut. Kiasmos - sind weiterhin der isländische Komponist Olafur Arnalds und der färöische Musiker Janus Rasmussen - haben sich diesmal zehn Jahr Zeit genommen für ihr Nachfolgewer und die Entstehung von "II" war eine Bewährungsprobe für ihre Freundschaft, aber auch ein Beweis dafür, dass eine großartige musikalische Chemie immer noch genauso gut sein kann, wie sie einmal war. Kiasmos hatten schon immer ein beneidenswertes Gespür dafür, komplexe Emotionen und eindrucksvolle Bilder mit Instrumentalmusik zu vermitteln. Die gesammelte Erfahrung als Produzenten, auf die sie zurückgreifen können, die Filmmusikarbeiten von Olafur Arnalds als Grammy-nomminierter Komponist für Film und Fernsehen sorgen für ein reifes elektronisches Album. Sie verlagerten ihre Melodien subtil von Four-to-the-Floor auf die frenetischen gebrochenen Beats der britischen Tanzmusik, indem sie mehr mit BPMs experimentiert haben, was an Janus" Zeit als DJ in den großen Venues weltweit erinnert. Es gibt immer noch die schmerzenden Melodien, die die Fans kennen und lieben, aber sie sind auch eingängiger.

CINTH’s new installment, Kinzua‘s 5-track EP Never Fret, Never Fail, presents a focused examination of UK-inflected memory, immersing the listener in dissolving traces of IDM, Breakbeat, Jungle and Trance. While the archival recollection of 90s Britain provides an almost hauntological emotional frame of reference, each track maintains its autonomy, allowing Kinzua’s particular approach to sonic and rhythmic detail to emerge clearly.
The meditative thread that marked their earlier releases runs through the EP once again, counterbalanced by a nearly industrial rhythmic energy, that keeps it suitable for the more attentive and considered dancefloors. Never Fret, Never Fail will be released on February 13th and includes a collaboration with Peryl. The release will be celebrated with an in-store session at Sound Metaphors on the same day.
