Lindsey Buckingham is widely considered one of the greatest guitarists, songwriters and musical expressionists of our time. A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and 3 time GRAMMY winner, Buckingham is best known as the producer, guitarist, vocalist and chief songwriter for Fleetwood Mac and as a widely celebrated solo artist. His forthcoming album 'Solo Anthology: The Best of Lindsey Buckingham' is a comprehensive record of this illustrious career.

On October 5th, Buckingham's Solo Anthology will be released as a 3-disc set on CD and digitally and will also be available as a single disc abridged release whilst the 6LP vinyl release is slated for November 23rd.

Solo Anthology: The Best of Lindsey Buckingham includes album, live and alternate versions of some of Lindsey's most celebrated solo albums including cuts from Law and Order, Go Insane, Out of the Cradle, Under the Skin, Gift of Screws and Seeds We Sow and incorporates songs from his Collaborative album with Christine McVie released in 2017. The anthology features Buckingham's film work with 'Holiday Road' and 'Dancin Across The USA' from the 1983 motion picture soundtrack to National Lampoon's Vacation and 'Time Bomb Town' from 1985's Back to the Future. Live versions of Fleetwood Mac's 'Tusk' and 'Go Your Own Way' round out the album, but the most thrilling tracks come in the form of two new songs that have never before been released, 'Hunger' and 'Ride This Road.'

- First-ever collection of the earliest, original Lone Justice's demos. - On CD and 45 RPM 12' EP. - Mastered and lacquers cut by Bernie Grundman. - Notes and track-by-track commentary from Marvin Etzioni. 'Maria & I woodshedded for almost a year before we were ready to take the music we had uncovered out into the clubs. This is the original line-up of Lone Justice.' —Ryan Hedgecock Musician and producer Marvin Etzioni first saw Maria McKee and Ryan Hedgecock in a club in 1982, playing George Jones and Hank Williams covers. He convinced them they needed original material. After working and writing, the band added Dave Harrington (bass) and Don Willens (drums), the band worked up material with Etzioni and cut 5 of the 6 tracks at the famed Record Plant. An earlier session provides the 6th track. The Western Tapes: 1983 exhibits the genesis of this highly-influential band. While the original demo version of 'Drugstore Cowboy' has appeared on various compilations, the remainder of the other tracks from the sessions have remained in the can. Two of the tracks appear in their earliest demo form and wound up landing on the classic 1988 Lone Justice debut, 'Working Late' and 'Don't Toss Us Away' (written by Maria's half-brother, Bryan MacLean of the classic band, Love) which would eventually become a top 5 smash for Country superstar Patty Loveless. Released in conjunction with the band, the 12" and CD EP were mastered by Bernie Grundman (who also cut the 45 RPM lacquers). It's a look into where they started and foretells where they would go. As Etzioni (who would later join the band) says in his liner notes: 'With countless hours together, it was a fun and innocent time. I believed we were creating a 21st century country band.' They created much, much more.

Global superstar Michael Bublé is scheduled to release(pronounced love) as his first studio album in two years on November 16th following a two year break from public life to spend time with his family.

The Canadian singer-songwriter returned to the studio with a new perspective on life and a renewed commitment to honouring the music he has always loved.

I didn't anticipate returning to recording or performing and I was fine with that. My entire world view has changed completely these last few years. I wanted to spend all my time with my wife and kids. That was my focus. During that time, I also learned how much love and humanity is out in the world from the prayers and good wishes we received. But slowly, along with understanding what my priorities in life are, I began to feel a new commitment to express the emotions and lessons I've embraced. Whether I am the narrator, the observer, the main character, the dreamer, the broken hearted guy at a bar or having the night of a lifetime, I have stories to tell on this record. It's all there in the songs. I have had so many blessings in life and one of them is that I hold the torch to keep these songs alive for generations to come. I take the responsibility very seriously. My end game for the new record was to create a series of short cinematic stories for each song I chose and have it stand on its own. I'm so proud of what we accomplished,' commented Bublé.
Bublé co-produced his new album and brings new love to several rich classics from the American Songbook. The album opens with the idealistic and dreamy 'When I Fall In Love.' It also includes a haunting take on another Rogers & Hart standard, 'My Funny Valentine.' Other standouts are an ebullient 'When You're Smiling,' a swinging 'Such A Night' as well as Bublé's hand-picked favorites including 'Unforgettable,' 'Help Me Make It Through The Night,' and 'I Only Have Eyes For You.' Two standout tracks are Charlie Puth's swinging 'Love You Anymore' and an achingly poignant 'La Vie En Rose' -a Bublé duet featuring singer Cecile McLorin Salvant. A touching Bublépenned original 'Forever Now' demonstrates his songwriting skills, which were previously shown in such Bubléwritten hits like 'Home,' 'Haven't Met You Yet' and 'Everything.' The album closes with a show-stopping version of 'Where or When.'

was produced by David Foster, longtime collaborator Jochem van der Saag and Michael Bublé. The trio brought Bublé's visions to life with luscious arrangements surrounding his rich vocals. Michael Bublé has sold over 60 million records worldwide, performed hundreds of sold-out shows around the globe, and won four Grammys and multiple Juno Awards during the course of his extraordinary career.

- 5-LP boxed set traces the history of the band through their indie, pre-major label years. - Includes a 20-page book with liner notes and previously unseen photos and memorabilia. - The albums are being reissued on vinyl for the first time since their original releases. - Co-produced by Twin/Tone co-founder Peter Jesperson and Grammy®-winning producer Cheryl Pawelski. Soul Asylum first hit the Minneapolis music scene in early 1981. Core members Dave Pirner, Dan Murphy, and Karl Mueller met at local punk rock shows. Coming up in the shadow of formidable bands like Hüsker Dü and The Replacements, show they were all big fans of, was daunting but, ultimately, it inspired them to make a name for themselves. Soul Asylum stood out immediately because of their work ethic and smart, punky hard rock sound. They made four records for hometown label, Twin/Tone Records, before moving on to the majors; first A&M, then Columbia where they scored two platinum albums and won a Best Rock Song Grammy® for 'Runaway Train.' This special five-LP boxed set brings together Soul Asylum's earliest albums (Say What You Will . . . Anything Can Happen, Made To Be Broken, and While You Were Out), their classic EP (Clam Dip & Other Delights), and the bonus track compilation and special new album (Twin/Tone Extras), a compilation that picks up select bonus tracks featured on the CD reissues of Soul Asylum's Twin/Tone releases. The boxed set is co-produced by Twin/Tone Records co-founder and Replacements manager, Peter Jesperson and Grammy®-winner and Omnivore Recordings co-founder, Cheryl Pawelski. The Twin/Tone Years reaches back for some of the earliest Soul Asylum recordings as Loud Fast Rules and traces the history of the band through their indie, pre-major label years. A 20-page book is included with liner notes and previously unseen photos and memorabilia. The albums are being reissued on vinyl for the first time since their original releases, and have been restored and mastered by Grammy®-award winning engineer, Michael Graves at Osiris Studio and cut by Chris Muth at Taloowa.

On September 28, Reprise Records will release An American Treasure—a career-spanning Tom Petty box set. The 60-track set unveils dozens of previously unreleased recordings, alternate versions of classic songs, rarities, historic live performances and deep tracks that spotlight Tom's remarkable depth and evolution as a revered and tremendously influential songwriter, recording artist and performer. An American Treasure marks the first release of Tom Petty music since the artist's tragic passing in October 2017.
The first single from An American Treasure is 'Keep A Little Soul'—a previously unreleased recording from 1982 sessions that resulted in Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers' classic album, Long After Dark. Watch the video featuring rare never-before-seen footage of the band here. The song is also available today with box set pre-order here. To add to the celebration of this announcement, a newly redesigned has been launched.
Tom's daughter, Adria Petty, and his wife, Dana Petty, were the primary catalysts for the commission, creation and release of An American Treasure—a tribute and love letter pointing to the music in between the hits, and a strong musical portrait of the person they know in their hearts. Adria and Dana both serve as the project's Executive Producers, and, together with Tom's bandmates of 45 years, Heartbreakers Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench, and his studio collaborator, Ryan Ulyate, curated the box set's track list from Petty's rich song catalog. Campbell, Tench and Ulyate also produced An American Treasure. The creation of An American Treasure was a true labor of love, as Adria Petty and Dana Petty explain, 'Everyone involved in this project chose each track with tremendous care and deep respect for the body of work Tom Petty created over the course of 40 years. He also accumulated a wealth of unreleased music in his vaults, and we have collectively uncovered one gem after another that will keep us all listening and discovering new facets of Tom's talent for many years to come. We can't wait to share with Tom's fans this musical portrait of an artist who deeply affected our culture and indelibly touched the lives of fans the world over.'
The custom cover artwork for An American Treasure was created by prominent American artistShepard Fairey from an image of Petty by renowned photographer Mark Seliger.

An American Treasure: Vinyl Edition—A 6-LP set that features all 60 tracks and a 48-page booklet containing all of the photographic and editorial elements found in the CD Deluxe Edition. - Dark heavy metal album, sought after by heavy metal collectors

- Black vinyl is available in an edition of 500 copies.

The inaugural release in Gotta Groove Records' OH Wax series is the 1985 album by Witch - entitled "Salem's Rise' - originally self-released through the Eargasm Productions label. The original pressing from 1985 has long been sold out and sought after by heavy metal collectors. Occasionally, a copy will pop up for sale online for several hundred dollars. GGR tracked down the original label's founder to re-release this long lost Ohio private pressing.

Notes from original executive producer and founder of Eargasm Records, Tim Grogean:

"Ted George and I were introduced in 1984 when he came to my studio in Dayton, Ohio asking me to produce a single for him. He was a shredding guitarist and songwriter from Versailles, Ohio. The first single release was 'Chained Heat' b/w 'Rock-N-Roll Dreams' — released on Eargasm Records in 1984. Ted handled all guitars, with Jon Menger on drums and Larry 'LD' Hampshire on keyboards.

After the completion of 'Chained Heat,' Ted yearned to write a full-length album; and I was looking for a project to present to larger record companies in LA and NY. Songwriting and rehearsals started in Versailles, Ohio with many nights jamming in the basement of brothers Tony and Dave Chappie. Tony (on drums) and Dave (on bass) were accompanied by Ted (on guitar), and Ace Mathews (on vocals). Pre-production was done at Eargasm studios, and into Audio Productions we went to record one hell of a heavy metal album.

Many of long nights and heavy parties ensued for the next month, as the band hammered out the ten songs on "Salem's Rise." The instruments fell in very solid with Ted's fast guitar work and solid rhythm section. Tim and Mike Niklas engineered the recording at Audio Productions. Tim was the executive producer as well, and assisted in songwriting and guitar. The album was Mastered at QCA in Cincinnati, Ohio (where it was also originally manufactured on vinyl). Tony Chappie and I wrote the drum solo; and incomparable pianist Larry 'LD' Hampshire again came to Ted's side for the keyboards. Yes, it is true; we pulled out all the stops in producing a dark heavy metal album. LD Hampshire provided awesome devilish backing tracks and backwards masking. Listen to 'Something Evil' for some great examples of this.

The album was released in 1985, with the release party held at Hara Arena in Dayton Ohio. I opened up as a solo act. The album sold out almost immediately, but the large record companies solicited at the time felt the tide was turning to new wave and big hair metal, away from the heavy metal sound of the late 70s. Unfortunately, no big record deal was inked.

Most of the musicians involved on Salem's Rise continue to play and record to this day. Ted went on to front many bands and work with other artists, including Rick Derringer. He is now known as 'Fast Eddie' due to his freakish speed on the guitar. The Chappie brothers eventually became businessmen. Less is known about the prospects of singer Ace Mathews. 'LD' continued to play in bands with Tim and record in Dayton-area studios. I went on to work with bands like Rush, Sponge, Days of the New, Sun; and I continue to record and tour in my band Amplified.'

Yama Warashi is the vision of Yoshino Shigihara, a Japanese musician and visual artist whose past projects include cult favourites Zun Zun Egui (Bella Union), of which she was a co-founder. Inspired by Japanese folk dance, free jazz and tribal African music, and heavily saturated in psychedelia, Yama Warashi's songs are lyrically outlandish and charming, melodically addictive and mythical; the band name translates from Shigihara's native tongue as 'small childlike mountain spirit'
The new material is set to build on the success of Yama Warashi's 2016 debut album, 'Moon Egg', which won an eager fanbase and picked up high profile press and radio plaudits. Live, they have graced festival stages including Latitude, Green Man, WOMAD and Shambala, to add to support with the likes of Flamingods, This is the Kit and Dakha Brakha. Following another busy summer of festivals and headline shows, they will be embarking on a full album tour around the release in November 2018.
Originally from Ashiya city, near Osaka, multi-instrumentalist Yoshino Shigihara discovered her love of playing piano aged three, kicking off a lifelong musical curiosity. After a period of exploring other artistic avenues, she picked up the piano again on moving to Bristol and finding herself brimming once again with inspiration. Following the success of their early releases, in 2017 Yama Warashi were awarded funding from the PRS Foundation, and they recorded their new album with Ali Chant (PJ Harvey, M.Ward, Perfume Genius) at The Playpen in Bristol; they have hit upon a truly unique and impactful sound that sees Shigihara taking major leaps in compositional complexity, songwriting and artistic freedom, backed by an impressive and close-knit ensemble of talent.

Side F: Etched

The 2-LP set features Chicago's live performance from Aug. 28, 1970 at the Isle of Wight, where they co-headlined with Jimi Hendrix and the Doors. It features extended free-form versions of their early landmark tracks, 'I'm A Man,' '25 or 6 to 4,' 'Introduction,' South California Purples' and the 'Ballet For A Girl In Buchannon.'
Available on vinyl for the first time, this concert was featured in the Six Decades Live box set released earlier this year. It includes 2 LPs in a gatefold jacket.

Sophisticated Boom Boom is the 1984 debut album by the pop group Dead or Alive. As one of the first synth-goth bands they created a new landmark with this record. Pete Burns' outrageous appearances and his dramatic singing style were characteristic for this new band. Synthpop and dance elements were integrated in their songs. The album contains the band's first single hit, a cover version of KC & the Sunshine Band's 'That's the Way (I Like It)'. The music has monotonous grunting and groaning and some decent dance rhythms can be found on this record. The other single hit from the record is 'Misty Circles'.

Dead or Alive gained success in the mid-1980s and sold over 50 million records worldwide. Founder and vocalist Pete Burns passed away in 2016 and since the band discontinued.

On June 15th, Pennsylvania's Petal will release 'Magic Gone', a 10-song declaration of personal liberation and a look into the mind and soul of singer/songwriter Kiley Lotz. ''Magic Gone' is the physical and sonic representation of me fighting for my right not only to survive but live all while coming to terms with encroaching adulthood,' says Lotz. 'I was a closeted queer person struggling with chronic mental health disorders; terrified that if I tried to deal with these two major issues in my life I would lose everyone and everything I loved. Coming out was the beginning of a long and continuing process of self-actualization, of taking a hard look at myself and the problems I had and how I could fix them. This record is the result of being the most honest I have ever been in my life, and the constant battle of overcoming the thought that, 'maybe if I were just someone else completely, everything would be better.' 'Magic Gone' is about letting go of the anger induced by all the paranoia, anxiety, guilt and pain, and embracing the magic of your own endurance and hoping for the best.'

Santana's tenth studio album Marathon marked the beginning of the group's commercial slide. The single 'You Know That I Love You' reached no.35 on the Billboard Hot 100. It consisting entirely of band-written music. The music direction got many influences from the melodic rock, which gained more popularity by the end of the '70s. With some incredible guitar solos by the master Carlos Santana himself and Alex Ligertwood's fine vocals it's another versatile piece from the band. The Marathon package includes an insert.

Beloved singer-songwriter-painter-poet Joni Mitchell will turn 75 this year on November 7th . Rhino will start the birthday celebration a few days early by releasing Mitchell's critically-acclaimed 2014 collection 'Love Has Many Faces: A Quartet, A Ballet, Waiting To Be Danced' on vinyl for the first time as a limited-edition, eight-LP box set.

'Love Has Many Faces: A Quartet, A Ballet, Waiting To Be Danced' was first conceived as the music to a ballet about love. But after spending 18 months trying to distil everything she'd written about love - and the lack of it - down to a single disc, Mitchell abandoned the ballet. 'I wanted the music to feel like a total work - a new work. No matter what I did, though, at that length, it remained merely a collection of songs,' she wrote in the liner notes to the set.

Undaunted, Mitchell did not give up. Instead, she continued to sequence her songs, determined to prove to herself that what she was after was possible. After two years, she had created a four-act ballet based on the 53 songs that make up this inspiring collection. 'I am a painter who writes songs. My songs are very visual. The words create scenes... What I have done here is to gather some of these scenes (like a documentary filmmaker) and by juxtaposition, edit them into a whole new work,' she explains.

Mitchell organized the music into different thematic acts, which allowed her songs to interact with one another in a whole new way. The process, she says, was a lot like making a film. 'I had forty years of footage to review. Then, suddenly, scenes began to hook up. Then series began to form. Instead of it being an emotional roller coaster ride as it was before - crammed into one disc - themes began to develop. Moods sustained. I was getting there... When this long editorial process (two years) finally came to rest, I had four ballets or a four-act ballet—a quartet. I also had a box set.'

Long-term listeners should find the music familiar but fresh. Newcomers have an adventure before them - a journey into highly-original, harmonically innovative, unusually rhythmic music. Some of the greatest musicians in the world are gathered here - supporting this emotionally charged exploration of love's many faces.

Limited to 5000 individually numbered copies, the set is presented in a hard-bound deluxe folio package. It includes 53 songs on eight 180-gram LPs. Etchings of Mitchell's artwork are featured on four individual album sides, each one signifying the end of an act in the ballet.

It truly is an artist-curated collection. Mitchell selected the material from 40 years of recording. She designed the package, which includes a book containing 53 lyrical poems, six paintings, and an autobiographical text illuminating her recording process. It is funny, mystical, and informative.

Songs For Judy is the debut release on Shakey Pictures Records, Young's own imprint distributed by Reprise Records. Songs For Judy is thoroughly engaging collection of live acoustic performances culled from Neil's November 1976 solo tour and features twenty-two songs recorded at various cities along the tour. This song cycle of live recordings is particularly powerful and unique. Young had spent much of the year traveling around the world on tour with Crazy Horse. When touring on his own, he recharged and focused on songs that would not surface in recorded form for several years. Of the albums many treasures, "No One Seems To Know" would not see the light of day until now and it remains unreleased in any other iteration.

The raw versions of the tracks found on Songs For Judy reflect an artist completely unvarnished and unafraid to allow the songs to breath and to find their own shape when performed in a solo setting. Songs written in that era would come into focus and then seemingly disappear only to re-enter Young's orbit somewhere down the road. "White Line" and "Give Me Strength" are such examples of finding the light in 1990 and 2017 respectively. It's also fascinating to hear Young revisit early gems such as Springfield's "Mr. Soul" ('67), "Here We Are In The Years" ('68), and "The Losing End" ('69) from some of his earliest solo recordings which remain as timeless as ever.

"Grlfrnd" is the first proper single from "Don't Cry", the first full album by the Torpedo Boyz in five years. Establishing themselves as one of the most sustainable acts in independent club-pop, "Don't Cry" sees the Berlin collective as daring and outlandish as ever before. Ten years of emerging with their ground-breaking "Headache Music" debut, followed by the quirky "Cum On The Feel Boyz" two years later and the arrival of the politically forward thinking "Return Of The Ausländers" in 2010, Torpedo Boyz head into the future in full speed.

**** Hand-Embellished Acrylic Screen Print on Brown Heavyweight Cardboard Sleeve - limited to 160 pieces. Each 7 inch cover was individually screen printed in gold and silver and hand painted using a variety of acrylic paints. It is hand numbered and stamped by Kentastic on the back of the sleeve. Please note: Each print is uniquely painted and printed and will vary from the image shown ***

With the rousing and noisy guitar-pop single "Grlfrnd" Torpedo Boyz are now back in full swing. This strictly limited 7 inch vinyl single - other than the album and download version - contains an exclusive remix by Berlin-based Californian musician and producer Timothy LaLonde. "I wanted the track to be more ass-kicking, rougher and to sound a bite more like The Sonics!" Kentastic recalls. "I had a feeling Tim was the right person to ask." And he was damn right!

The B side "Pain Pain Pain" another guitar-driven smasher is exclusively available on this vinyl format.

"Don't Cry" is available as a limited deluxe vinyl edition, regular CD and digital release in January 2016.

The band took off at the end of the 60s from the encounter between Graham Field and Dave Kaffinetti, that, after the arrival of Steve Gould and Mark Ashton, decided to call themselves the Rare Bird. Their keyboard dominated-progressive rock style was immediately noticed by Tony Stratton-Smith with whom the band signed one of the first contracts of the eclectic label Charisma Records (the others were Van der Graaf Generator and The Nice). Rare Bird is the band's debut album released at the end of 1969, that includes, among the striking tracks, the worldwide chart hit Sympathy, that at the time sold more than one million copies.

'They have everything going for them, and they're together enough to sustain it. Rare Bird are a rare find, innovative, original, deeply musical. They're one on their own.'

- Tony Stratton-Smith

The CD booklet contains the lyrics November sees the release of MERRIE LAND, the second album from The Good, The Bad & The Queen, a band comprising of Damon Albarn, Paul Simonon, Tony Allen and Simon Tong. The Good, The Bad & The Queen began life as the acclaimed 2007 album of the same name, a heartfelt tribute to London described by The Observer in a 5 star review as -'One of the most surprising and magical records for which Damon Albarn has ever been responsible'.

The record traced a journey from the English music hall tradition to West Africa and Afrobeat, zigzagging through the West Indies and its reggae and dub, back to England and London's punk scene, all the while taking in a strand of British beat music from the '50s right through to Britpop. The result was a record specific to a place and mood but with a background that was geographically wide-ranging.

Now the four musical storytellers are back with a new studio album titled 'Merrie Land'.

Produced by Tony Visconti and The Good, The Bad & The Queen was completed in London and Wales this year, during the current ongoing period in which the UK is preparing to leave the European Union, 'Merrie Land 'is a questioning good-bye letter, a series of observations and reflections on Britishness in 2018. Even though it has been over 10 years since the band last released a record, the timing could not be more apt - there could not be a more perfect band to untangle the optimism, disorientation and confusion in the atmosphere today.

With 'Merrie Land', the band taps into a creative symbiosis of past and future, drawing inspiration from their shared glittering musical histories and wrapping the hybrid results in a brilliantly postmodern yet thoroughly British package.

The album sees the band's focus move beyond London with a beautiful and hopeful paean to the Britain of today - an inclusive Britain - and the possibilities of the future. In the band's own words, Merrie Land is a ten song lament of Anglo-Saxosentialism marking the reluctant end of a relationship, and about picking up the pieces and seeing what can be salvaged. The band set a beautifully muted palette and lustrous finish to bring out a mood that is bruised yet unapologetically defiant and optimistic, and carries the underlying message: we will survive.

In times of metaphysical trauma, the people need to forge ahead and wear armour. Here it is, set to the mood music of a nation about to be broken yet undefeated.

This collection, curated by the band, selects the best works from their prolific output on the ground-breaking label Kscope since 2008. In this time the band left their heavier roots and transcended into emotional heaviness

that resonated deep within the heart of the listener. It takes its name from the band's perhaps most heartfelt song, from their most popular album of the period, 'Weather Systems'.

Gatefold 2LP with sleeve notes written by songwriter Daniel Cavanagh and artwork by Travis Smith. 'Internal Landscapes' showcases the highly influential Liverpool sextet's

uncompromising dedication to fearless artistry. They've continually evolved since 1990 by placing hope in the future - from leaving the underground scene they were fundamental in establishing to continually mesmerising the world

with dramatic post-progressive alternative rock that knows no borders. The release of 'Internal Landscapes' follows an extensive worldwide headline tour, including performances at Download Festival, ArcTanGent and Wembley

Arena with Opeth in support of their 2017 studio album 'The Optimist'. The release won the Album of the Year at the Progressive Music Awards '17, reached the top 10 in the Polish charts, top 20 in Germany, top 40 in the UK,

and has 5.8 million track streams on Spotify. This built on the success of their previous Kscope material, which also won at the Progressive Music Awards, including Album of the Year, Live Event of the

Year & Multimedia Package of the Year for 2010's 'We're Here Because We're Here', 2012's 'Weather Systems' and 2013's 'Universal'. 'Another masterclass in supercharged emotional songwriting and fearless

sonic curiosity.' - 5/5 The Guardian

Workin' Man Noise Unit finally return with their new album 'It's Not Nothin', the eagerly awaited follow up to 'Play Loud' which was released in 2015 to great acclaim ...

'Play Loud is packed with no-nonsense meat-feast riffs accompanied by a swirling background breeze. 'Yeah, I Was Hypnotized' hints towards a potential knack for Torche-esque poppiness before it audaciously decelerates to a sludgier wallow. That the band's rowdy dual vocals start to remind you of Fugazi, which only sweetens the whole damn deal' (The Quietus)

'We must celebrate this most punctual of albums which hits a nerve left abandoned for too long. It's sheer veracity is a blast of fresh air and places itself as a prime piece of rock and roll from these shores. We need bands like this, they show us that it doesn't have to be all humdrum seriousness' (Artrocker)

'Reading's own noiseniks, Workin' Man Noise Unit infuse the whole fucking thing with a love of Albini, Jesus Lizard, and Fugazi. They are agitated from start to finish as they pour their entire bodily fluids into new long-player, the aptly titled Play Loud. This is agitated, cathartic rock played at a nihilistic intensity' (Soundblab)

'As the band has progressed, they've been edging into an area that is more of the 70's riff-rock vein but dressed up with a larger amount of distortion/noise, kind reminiscent to stuff like Torche, Fu Manchu, Kyuss, and Karp. If that's your cup of tea, then Workin' Man Noise Unit will likely be of interest as they are certainly capable of hanging in there with the more prominent bands of the genre and their mantra of 'play loud' ends up being more than just for show' (Built On A Weak Spot)

About the band ...

Hello. Our crummy band is called WORKIN' MAN NOISE UNIT. Apostrophe, no G. (Yeah, all the good names were taken, OK) From Reading, UK. We are drums, noise, bass, guitar, vocals, sound, energy, bad jokes, the smell of stale beer on sticky floors. Hit a few chords, see how it sounds. Live, tonight, not sold out.

WORKIN' MAN NOISE UNIT started in 2010. Since then we've played on stages the size of a postage stamp and smaller than that too. And the back rooms of pubs and clubs and restaurants and record stores and pizza establishments and stinking practice rooms. In arts centres and galleries and warehouses and member-run community spaces. In dank basements, a flat in a shopping centre, an old bank vault, a crypt, a bicycle shop. Etc. Plus a few respectable venues accidentally allowed us in to make a racket along the way too.

And we're still doing it because making music with your mates is fucking ace, isn't it

It's been a good ride so far. We've heard great music and met great people. Can no longer hold a conversation in a loud room because of screaming tinnitus but it's probably been worth it. Pardon

Our new record is called IT'S NOT NOTHIN' and it has 11 songs and it's out on the top notch RIOT SEASON RECORDS. It was recorded, mixed and mastered by Wayne Adams at BearBitesHorse. We reckon he even managed to make us sound half-decent, despite our best efforts. Have a listen to it if you fancy.

And then we're getting back in a van loaded full of half-broken amps and weighed down by LPs and it all carries on. Dreaming of hot meals and bladder control. The motorway again. Set lists written on the back of old flyers and wetherspoons receipts. Snyder's hot buffalo wing pretzel pieces, a.k.a. gold medals, washed down with buckfast. And how nice are chips Well nice.

'GOTH-TRAD formed new unit 'EARTAKER' with Diesuck(vocal) and Masayuki Imanishi(noise) in 2017. Their doomful & dissonant sound with Diesuck's low scream feels like music that can be heard from the gap between end of the world and the new world. It is hard to categorise to any genre. This is the unit's first LP.'

Snarling Aussie punk from the the western burnout paradise of Perth. Recorded in 1980 and issued on the short-lived White Rider label, 'Last Night' arrived just before The Scientists abandoned their power pop hooks and went on an unhinged swamp-grunge tear. Replicated down to the tiniest detail, The Scientists E.P.has been remastered from the original analog tapes and presented in a heavy weight picture sleeve.

A Head Full Of Dreams (Documentary film)
The inside story, filmed over 20 years. Long term Coldplay collaborator Mat Whitecross blends hugely spectacular live performances with exclusive band interviews and a huge array of previously unseen archive footage to produce 'A Head Full Of Dreams' - the definitive story of one of the world's biggest bands.

Minimal multi-instrumentalist weirdo zone brilliance on another obscure uncovering from the excellent Growing Bin...big tip!
.
"If you've kept a keen ear to the underground, you may have noticed a trance revival creeping into the dance floors and darkrooms of late, a post ironic return to the 64 bar breakdowns and peak time key changes of your serotonin drenched youth.....

So what's this then Has Growing Bin gone from groundbreaker to copycat Dig a little deeper folks, for the Trance is question is Jürgen Petersen, a forgotten cosmic kingpin in tune with true electronic excellence. When Danielle Baldelli wanted to show off his eclectic tastes, which record did he reach for Petersen's 1980 LP, 'Here And Now' of course. And when John Schaefer put together his essential exploration of New Sounds, who did he describe as Germany's answer to Eno Trance, damn right! After blessing the world with a trio of essential electronic LPs between 1979 and 1983, Petersen moved out of the limelight and lived off the grid, collecting his mind expanding music on a series of self-recorded, self-released cassettes, known only to the inner circle of elite European diggers. The sounds found within were unusual, experimental and ecstatic.

Fusing the organic tones of piano, 12 string guitar and sitar with soothing sine waves and hypnotic synthesis, Petersen harnessed the healing frequencies out there in the cosmos and transfixed the
listener with pure otherworldly beauty - ambient music for a new age... Unravelling these rare cassettes for music lovers everywhere, Growing Bin treats us to 'Tapes', a five track vision quest for the
horizontal travellers and fourth world nomads. Sven can keep his cocoon, we're off in search of the butterflies..."

Unschuld und Verwüstung heißt das zehnte Studio Album und es ist ihr Debüt beim Berliner Label
Staatsakt.
It's the end of the world as we know it, zitiert Morgenstern gleich im ersten Stück R.E.M. und ihren
Schade eigentlich.

OPEN YOUR MIND TO RUSH'S 'HEMISPHERES' Canadian rock legends celebrate album's 40th anniversary with expanded reissues on November 16, 2018

SANTA MONICA, CA-XX, 2018-On November 16, UMe/Anthem/ole label group continues its extensive Rush 40th anniversary album series with a new, expanded edition of the band's groundbreaking 1978 release, Hemispheres. Hemispheres, Rush's sixth studio album, was originally released in October 1978, and it built upon the adventurous sonic template the band established on its acclaimed 1977 effort, A Farewell To Kings. The album's first track, 'Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres,' encompassed the entirety of Side 1 on the original release and was the logical, heady continuation of the epic album-ending Kings track, 'Cygnus X-1.' Side 2 commenced with the hard-driving commentary on English culture 'Circumstances,' followed by the socially aware and environmentally conscious FM radio hit 'The Trees,' and concluded with the instrumental tour de force and longtime concert favorite, 'La Villa Strangiato.' Hemispheres-40th Anniversary will be available to fans in four distinct configurations, including the (1) Super Deluxe Edition, (2) two-CD Deluxe Edition, (3) three-LP Deluxe Edition, and (4) Deluxe Digital Edition. The Super Deluxe Edition includes two CDs, one exclusive Blu-ray Audio disc, and three high-quality 180-gram black vinyl LPs. The set encompasses the Abbey Road Studios 2015 remastered edition of the album for the first time on CD, along with previously unreleased and newly restored bonus content consisting of the band's masterful June 1979 Pinkpop Festival performance in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, the Pinkpop recording engineer failed to capture the first several minutes of '2112,' so an amazing, unreleased performance of the song during the Hemispheres tour from Tucson, Arizona in November 1978 appears here in its place. The third bonus disc is the album newly mixed from the original multitracks in 5.1 surround sound on a Blu-ray Audio disc, along with four bonus videos: three shot in 1978 as promo videos, and one of 'La Villa Strangiato,' originally shot at Pinkpop with newly restored stereo audio.

The Super Deluxe Edition of Hemispheres-40th Anniversary will also include several exclusive items, including a 40-page hardcover book with unreleased photos and new artwork by original album designer Hugh Syme; an extensive, 11,000+-word essay by Rob Bowman; The Words & The Pictures, a replica of the band's rare 1979 UK tour program; a 24x24-inch wall poster of the newly created Syme art; a Pinkpop Festival replica ticket; a Pinkpop Festival replica cloth VIP sticky pass; and a replica 1978 'Rush' Hemispheres iron-on patch.

The second configuration of Hemispheres-40th Anniversary will be released in a two-CD Deluxe Edition digipak that includes the newly remastered Hemispheres album; the Pinkpop Festival performance and '2112' from Arizona; a 28-page booklet with unreleased photos and new artwork by Syme; and an edited, 5,700-word version of Bowman's aforementioned essay.

The third Hemispheres configuration will be offered as an audiophile black vinyl 180-gram three-LP Deluxe Edition featuring the same audio content as the two-CD edition housed in a slipcase with double-gatefold packaging, along with a 24-page booklet with unreleased photos and Syme's new artwork and the 5,700-word version of Bowman's liner notes. Gatefold 1 features the original album with Syme's 40th anniversary artwork, while Gatefold 2 contains the Pinkpop Festival and Arizona bonus content. A 5x5-inch digital download card sticker of Syme's new 40th anniversary art is also included.

The fourth configuration, the Deluxe Digital Edition, is the digital equivalent to the two-CD Deluxe Edition.
