„Buried Deep in a Bottomless Grave“ wurde erneut von Evan Mersky produziert. Das Mastering lag in den Händen von Dan Randall (u.a. für TOXIC HOLOCAUST tätig), während Matt Stikker (u.a. für OUTER HEAVEN tätig) für das Cover-Artwork verantwortlich zeichnet.

Das neue Album von WITCH VOMIT wird am 30. August 2019 via 20 Buck Spin erscheinen.

Svart Records, by kind permission from Nuclear Blast, present a 10th anniversary repress of the band's fourth album Legend, pressed on 180 gram vinyl and with the original gatefold artwork. 2012's Legend was a departure for Witchcraft in many ways. Not only did they change half of their lineup and leave the previous label, also gone was the fuzzy warm analog sound of their previous three albums. Witchcraft have never made the same album twice, and Legend is certainly no exception. The album boasts a muscular modern production by Jens Bogren that really make the band's trademark doom riffs shine, and the songwriting is confident over the album's ten tracks of perfect retromodern revivalist doom.

After the mind blowing success of Witchcraft's Legend (2012), mastermind Magnus Pelander outdid himself once again with the band's 2016 offering Nucleus. Combining what made it's predecessor the modern classic it quickly became as well as elements of the band's earlier days makes Nucleus a melancholic, raging, fragile, melodic and at times noisy masterpiece filed somewhere between classic rock, doom and ambient music. More than 20 years after their debut, Witchcraft's seventh album, 'IDAG,' is an awaited full accounting of who they are as a band. Those who have clamored for the return to an earlier sound rooted in '70s classic progressive and heavy rock will delight to the strut of "Irreligious Flamboyant Flame" while the eight-minute opening title-track is the heaviest the band have ever sounded, and a succession of interspersed acoustic-based pieces helps create a vision of a new, soulfully folkish doom taking shape as they continue to move inexorably forward. Founding guitarist/vocalist, Magnus Pelander, says of 'IDAG': "This album will reap souls and destroy wicked minds. And perhaps mend a couple of broken ones." These enigmatic few words from the Swedish band's main songwriter give clues as to the songs' intentions; a reference dropped to Coven's 1969 album, 'Witchcraft Destroys Minds and Reaps Souls.' Coven also had a folkish, proto-doomed take at that point in their history, and that multifaceted nature has been a part of Witchcraft all along. On one level, Magnus is winkingly telling you it's a Witchcraft record. The actual meaning of that becomes clear when you hear the album and find out just how much 'a Witchcraft record' can encompass. The storyline of Witchcraft's growth, from Pelander's starting the band in Örebro in 2000 in the wake of his prior outfit Norrsken's disbanding. A generational landmark of a 2004 self-titled debut helped spark a retroist movement that has become its own subgenre, but Witchcraft never stopped growing. 2005's 'Firewood' and 2007's 'The Alchemist' introduced more progressive sounds, and five years later, the pointedly modern 'Legend' established in 2012 that they had moved beyond the analog worship they had been a part of pioneering within the contemporary heavy rock and doom scene. In 2016, the 2LP 'Nucleus' introduced fuller-toned doom, and 2020's 'Black Metal' diverged into moody acoustic minimalism familiar to some fans from Pelander's early solo work, but different from anything Witchcraft had done prior. 'IDAG,' then, is the tie that draws all of this - more than two decades of exploring and growth - together. Whatever they've done in the past and whatever they'll do in the future, 'IDAG' feels like a nexus for defining who and what Witchcraft are. Even crazier, that might be the point of the thing. The band invited several guest singers, like Keith Caputo (Life of Agony) performing a duet with Sharon on “What Have You Done”, while Anneke van Giersbergen (The Gathering) is harmonizing together with Sharon on “Somewhere”. This symphonic masterpiece contains classics like “Ice Queen”, “Stand My Ground”, and “Memories”.

Mother Earth is an album by the Dutch metal band Within Temptation. Featuring Sharon den Adel as the only vocalist the direction of the band changed from their doomy sound from the former EPs to a more symphonic style. The title song opens with a beautiful orchestral melody before powerful drumming and guitar riffs pumping in. “Ice Queen” reached number one in both the Netherlands and Belgium. With its prominent string arrangement and lyrical content it was a fine song in the early zero’s. Overall Mother Earth is an emotive and thoughtful collection of musical ideas overridden by some impressive vocal expressions.

The Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation was founded in 1996 by vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt. After their first recordings in the doom metal they were developing their music to a more accessible symphonic style, becoming known to the worldwide public.

An Acoustic Night at the Theatre is the second live album by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation, following their Black Symphony album. This acoustic album features some of their best known songs, like “Stand My Ground”, “Frozen”, and “What Have You Done”. Compared to many other acoustic metal albums from this area, An Acoustic Night at the Theatre is a gorgeous and emotional album, where everything is in its right place. The fine acoustic music is created with the support of The Metropole Orchestra. Sharon Den Adel’s beautiful voice takes centre stage and Anneke van Giersbergen, Keith Caputo, and Chris Jones make their appearance on the record.

Since 2011, For All We Know has been the side project of Ruud Jolie, known from Within Temptation. The debut album was released in the same year, followed by the second album called 'Take Me Home' in 2017. In 2023, both albums were released on vinyl via prog rock/metal label Construction Records.

The brand new third album, entitled 'By Design Or By Disaster', will also be released on CD and colored vinyl via Construction Records.

During the writing process, Jolie again worked closely with singer Wudstik, and the band consists of the same musicians who were featured on the first two albums: Léo Margarit (Pain of Salvation), Kristoffer Gildenlöw (ex Pain of Salvation), and Marco Kuypers (ex Cloud Machine). The 11 songs on the album were produced by Jolie herself and range from heavy, thrashy metal to calm melodies.

Compared to the previous two albums, 'By Design Or By Disaster' takes the listener to even more extreme corners, ranging from beautiful atmospheric strings to powerful rhythms and heavy guitars. Despite this diversity, Jolie continues to search for unexpected melodies and harmonies, where he is not afraid to go off the beaten path. There are also some 'Easter eggs' hidden for the attentive listener; melodies from the previous albums that return in an innovative way on this new album, making the first two albums together with this album a kind of trinity, which also applies to the artwork.

"‘Hydra’ is the sixth studio album by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation. It was originally released on January 31, 2014 in Europe and on February 4, 2014 in North America. The album contains guest appearances by singer Howard Jones (ex-Killswitch Engage), rapper Xzibit, metal vocalist Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish) and alternative rock singer Dave Pirner (Soul Asylum). It was the first album by Within Temptation to be recorded with three guitarists, with Stefan Helleblad making his Within Temptation studio debut on ‘Hydra’ since his addition to the band shortly after the release of ‘The Unforgiving’ in 2011. ‘Hydra’ is also the first Within Temptation album to feature Robert Westerholt's growling techniques since the band's debut album, ‘Enter’ in 1997. The band wanted it to be a real Within Temptation record, but heavier, more musically challenging, pushing borders and frontiers with new elements and influences, and at the same time bring back more from their early metal roots “... A bit like the past and future at the same time"" – as stated by the band.

The album title refers to the great variation in musical genres, the band improves on with each new release. Guitarist Robert Westerholt adds: ""Hydra is a perfect title for our new album, because like the monster itself, the record represents the many different sides of our music"". According to the ancient Greek mythology, the Hydra was a giant multi-headed serpent that, for each severed head, sprang forth two more in their place. This new Expanded Edition comes with 8 bonus tracks, never released on vinyl before.

Nachdem sie sich von der eher geradlinigen Methodik ihres Debütalbums weiterentwickelt haben, haben Wode im Laufe ihrer Diskografie kontinuierlich Elemente aus verschiedenen dunklen Ecken des Undergrounds hinzugefügt, wobei ihr Songwriting schlanker, aber auch komplexer, fokussierter und melodischer denn je geworden ist.
„Uncrossing The Keys“ hat die Musik von Wode nicht milder gemacht, der Sound ist nach wie vor von Flammen und Wut durchdrungen, aber sie haben ein breiteres Spektrum an Stimmungen angenommen und malen mit schwärzeren, satteren Farbtönen als je zuvor. Zerklüftete Post-Punk-/Goth-Einflüsse leuchten düster in neuen Tracks wie „Saturn Shadow“ und dem verträumten Trance des atmosphärischen Instrumentalstücks „Phantom“. Das düstere Tempo und die majestätisch-nachdenkliche Stimmung der Single „Transmutation“ erinnern mit ihrer düsteren Unterströmung sowohl an Paradise Lost als auch an Amorphis, während das melancholisch-hymnische „Under Lanternlight“ mit dynamischen Melodien im Stil von Sentenced durchdrungen ist. Wode beschwört Bilder einer Welt herauf, die sich ständig am Rande der Dämmerung befindet, und wirft im Verlauf der neun Tracks von „Uncrossing The Keys“ einen langen, kalten Schatten. Wolf is a Swedish heavy-/power-/speed metal band from Örebro. Formed in 1995, the band has released nine studio albums and toured with bands such as Saxon, Evile, Tankard and Trivium. Legions Of Bastards is the band's sixth album which was originally released by Century Media in April 2011. Now available on vinyl for the fist time since its release year! "Musically, it carries harder, faster chords and angered anguish from frontman Niklas Olsson. While Wolf have stayed true to the traditional heavy metal template, with "good times" vibes in tow, they have also pushed for a harsher edge to make their own sound.
