Was machen viele, insbesondere junge Menschen, um in ihrer Freizeit dem Alltag zu entfliehen Tanzen! Ganz besonders gut funktioniert das Vergnügen mit Disco-Musik - kein Wunder, dass das Genre seit vier Jahrzehnten ein Revival nach dem anderen erlebt. Mit der Zusammenstellung "Disco Stars" wirft das französische Label Wagram noch einmal einen Blick zurück auf die wilden Anfangstage in den Siebzigern, als das Ganze noch ein neuer Trend war, der von New York, Philadelphia und Miami zum glitzernden Siegeszug um die Welt ansetzte und Nachtclubs wie das Studio 54 oder The Loft stilbildenden Charakter hatten. Die Kompilation "Disco Stars" enthält unter anderem die Stücke "I Will Survive" (Gloria Gaynor), "Born To Be Alive" (Patrick Hernandez), "Car Wash" (Rose Royce), "Ring My Bell"(Anita Ward) und "Change" (Barry White) - und damit die größten Disco-Hymnen aller Zeiten. Hinzu kommen Songs von beispielsweise The Jackson 5, Imagination, Jennifer und Ottawan

Optimo Music Archiv is a new offshoot label for revisiting music JD Twitch has been a big fan of for a very long time. This first release takes 5 Force Dimension favourites and reconfigures them as an extended EP / mini album.

The songs are untouched but have been remastered for 21st Century ears.

“Tension” comes in two versions, one from each version of their debut album. Oddly they put out an original version (Blue), they decided they didn’t like it and re-recorded it. Both versions of Tension rule.

200 FA is an end of the night anthem. A perfect piece of E Music that crossed over into the early 90s Rave era and still much sough after to this day.

Aqua 2000 and All Systems Out are too Belgian bombs that still slay dancefloors today.

Double 180gm LP set featuring 18 songs, all the hits from '83 to '89!

This career spanning retrospective box set features 10 black Vinyl LPs, complete with newly remastered versions of all five of their Mute/Geffen albums, That Total Age, Belief, Showtime, Ebbhead, and Big Hit, plus 5 LPs of 29 bonus tracks, featuring B-sides, and rare 12” mixes. The original artwork for each album has been expanded into gatefold sleeves, with embossing and spot UV finish. It also contains a large size 28-page booklet with linear notes by Douglas McCarthy and Bon Harris and unseen photos, flyers and artwork. The box also has accommodated their first self released album Basic Pain Procedure, from 1983 and their last release Industrial Complex from 2010, by leaving adequate space inside, to complete the collection by the fans, as these titles have been in print in recent years.

"Black Ice" ist das mittlerweile 15. Studioalbum der Band und der erste Longplayer mit neuen Songs seit "Stiff Upper Lip", das Anfang 2000 Platz eins der deutschen Album Charts belegte. Gleichzeitig feiern die australischen Rock-Legenden damit ihr Debüt beim SONY-BMG-Label Columbia. "Black Ice" entstand unter der Regie von Star-Produzent Brendan O'Brien (Rage Against The Machine, Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Incubus, u.v.a.) in den Warehouse Studios in Vancouver. Abgemischt wurden die Songs vom kanadischen Juno-Award-Preisträger Mike Fraser, der neben zahllosen AC/DC-Meisterwerken auch entscheidend an Alben von Aerosmith, Dio, Biffy Clyro, Motley Crue, Van Halen und Slipknot mitgewirkt hatte. Ende Oktober startet die Band zu ihrer ersten Welt-Tournee seit 2001.

Mit "Rock 'N Roll Train" brachten Angus Young, Brian Johnson, Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams und Phil Rudd bereits den ersten Vorab-Song des Albums aufs (Hit-)Gleis: Kurz nach dem offiziellen Radio-Date schoß das AC/DC-Brett in den Top 100 der deutschen Airplay-Charts. Und auch die weiteren vierzehn Stücke auf "Black Ice" haben es in sich. "Es sind viele starke Songs auf dem Album - denn darum geht es ja letzten Endes bei einer Band. Man ist immer nur so gut wie seine Songs", erklärt Gitarrist Angus Young, "manche Stücke muss man ein zweites und drittes Mal hören, aber das finde ich sehr positiv - wenn die Songs mit jedem Hören wachsen." "Es ist das beste Album, das wir je gemacht haben. Schlicht und einfach", ergänzt Sänger Brian Johnson, "'Back in Black' war großartig für seine Zeit, bzw. es ist ein zeitloses Werk. Aber das neue Album zeigt, wie vielseitig die Band ist."

Kick, the sixth and best-selling 1987 studio album by Australian band INXS, has the unmistakable sound personified by its four U.S. Top 10 singles, "New Sensation," "Never Tear Us Apart," "Devil Inside" and "Need You Tonight," — which reached the top of the U.S. Billboard singles charts.

Between 1980 and 1984, INXS released four studio albums and had toured their native country Australia extensively. With Kick, producer Chris Thomas fused the funk and soul of their previous album The Swing with the mainstream rock of Listen Like Thieves. In an interview with MusicRadar, Andrew Farriss stated, "The melding of funk and rock was always in our heads. We were very excited about the idea of overlaying two types of songs and genres together."

Kick showcased a diverse range of musical styles, blending rock, pop, funk, and dance elements. This versatility appealed to a wide audience, making the album accessible to fans of different genres. Joy Division recorded only two albums before singer Ian Curtis tragically took his own life in 1980. But what the Manchester quartet lacked in longevity, they more than made up for in quality.
