Henrik Schwarz and !K7 are proud to announce a collaboration that will bare many different musical fruits. The first of these is a brand new label called Between Buttons, curated by Henrik and focused on acoustic sounds and contemporary compositions. Between Buttons will be in partnership with !K7's own neo-classical hub 7K!, and will kick off with a new mini LP by Schwarz entitled Works Piano, followed by an EP entitled Aphorisms by Syrian artists Khaled Kurbeh & Raman Khalaf Ensemble. Mixing up old and new technologies, experimental and more classical approaches, the label will see Schwarz forge new paths in his own work, as well as curating material from the peers he has worked with over the last 15 years. Mainly made up of acoustic sounds, piano, string quartets, self-built instruments, percussion and intriguing classicist elements with a modern twist, there will be EPs from piano virtuoso Bugge Wesseltoft, as well as other electronic producers wanting to show themselves in a different, more 'unplugged' light. 'In these times of constant turbo mode, likes and thumbs-up, we need to go back to basics,' says Henrik. 'We want to move away from the idea that relentless hasty productivity is a must, and instead take time to create space, to let ideas mature and to focus the mind on subtler sounds.' Works Piano will be a four track mini album that uses a Yamaha Disklavier as the starting point and reimagines it, reworks it and alters it with various digital and recording technologies. One track is a created with a reactive algorithm and one is compose purely from altered and processed piano sounds.

The Doors' 50th anniversary celebration continues this summer with a new Singles collections that spotlight every single and B-side the band released in the U.S., all gathered together for the first time.

THE SINGLES shows the creative chemistry shared by drummer John Densmore, guitarist Robby Krieger, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, and vocalist Jim Morrison, four brilliant artists who made The Doors one of America's most iconic and influential rock bands.
The collection includes the single versions from all six of the landmark studio albums the quartet released between 1967 and 1971, including classics like People Are Strange,' Love Her Madly' and Riders On The Storm.' Also included on the CD versions are four mono radio versions of some of the band's biggest hits, such as Hello, I Love You' and Touch Me,' which have never been made available anywhere after being sent to radio around their original release. The B-sides - many of which are making their CD debut - add another dimension to the band's legacy with such stellar tracks as Who Scared You,' which appeared in March 1969 as the flipside to Wishful Sinful,' and a cover of Willie Dixon's (You Need Meat) Don't Go No Further,' which was paired with the 1971 smash Love Her Madly.'
THE SINGLES also features several songs released after Morrison's passing in 1971. Among those recordings are tracks the surviving trio recorded together ( Tightrope Ride' and The Mosquito'), as well as live selections from posthumous releases ( Roadhouse Blues' and Gloria.')

This is volume seven of this popular series and like its predecessors LBB7 is restored and mastered to the highest standard. The selections are sequenced like a fast-moving DJ set featuring current dancefloor hits, new discoveries, unreleased gems and an exclusive Dr Robert re-mix. The songs in this collection are obscure underground sixties club sounds overlooked on release but revered by dj's, dancers and collectors today. Dr Robert first tests these discs out at London club night the Mousetrap where the cool and curious gather for nights of hipshakin' fun, once satisfied they have passed 'The Mousetrap test' he starts spinning them on his DJ adventures. Some of these songs have made it onto this album for your dancing, listening and partying pleasure!
