Reissue of the original 1977 Island Records 12' release of guitar maestro Steve Winwood's grooviest Balearic rock moments. First up is the 2012 doomsday prophesier's anthem 'Time Is Running Out', a floor-friendly disco rock gem with great guitar work and vocals from Mr Winwood and a sweet rhythm section supplied by Jim Copaldi and legendary Ghanaian percussionist Rebop Kwaku-Baah. Flip over for 'Penultimate Zone', a wonderfully deep spaced-out cosmic groover that received heavy rotation on Italy's Cosmic scene and early Ibiza parties as well as finding favour with David Mancuso at his legendary NYC Loft. There was more focus on the guitar, they used pinch harmonies, they sounded like they were having fun again, most famously so in "Vavoom: Ted The Mechanic" based on a true story Ian Gillan once heard in a pub.

A Date With Elvis is comprised of singles and unreleased material ranging from his early Sun days in 1954 up to 1957.
