Biblical heat from the one and only Floorplan as the father-daughter duo of Robert and Lyric Hood return with two new tracks for Robert's M-Plant label. 'So Glad' conveys the classic Floorplan sound, blending gospel vocals with a disco house groove that's ripe and ready for the summer. Meanwhile, flipside 'I Feel Him Moving' is harder edged and tracky with a tough Chicago house twist under its preacher sampling. The release coincides with their first live show at this year's Movement in Detroit.

Following on from Lyric Hood's solo release, 'Everything / Social Distance' in July, M-Plant takes us into August with the first new release this year from Robert Hood and Floorplan.

Opening the proceedings is a solo mission from Robert Hood. 'The Struggle' opens with acidic-funk that's highlighted by Tamika Mallory's stirring speech following the murder of George Floyd, before launching into powerful stripped-back Techno. This is protest music, Hood-style.

The rest of the EP is devoted to Robert and Lyric Hood's collaborative Floorplan project. The original version of 'Save The Children' brings tough House with blazing horns and vocal refrains to continue the themes of social change. While the Detroit Mix goes deep and bassy, overlaid with poignant vocal samples including the words of Dick Gregory.

It was back in 1993 when Steve Bicknell first resealed “Track 12” on Cosmic Records.
27 years later the veteran artist travels back in time and teams up with KR3 to re-issue this techno masterpiece, inclusive of the original re-edit plus three new interpretations by Jing, Metro Skim & Heartless.

Available from September 28th both on vinyl from Ready Made Distribution, 27 symbolises a meeting point between past, present and future of techno.
The music is there to remind us that time is circular, nothing is still and everything evolves.

Dominik Eulberg, of Traumschallplatten, Cocoon and Kompakt notoriety, presents the next installment of the Hertzblut Recordings EP series in the form of 'Backslash'. The EP opens with 'Opel Tantra', a delectable example of a living, breathing techno orchestra in full effect. B-side 'Noch Ein Bass im Ärmel' sees plucked strings and key stabs pick out an alluring groove, as distant chimes twinkle evoking the enchanted forest ever-present in Eulberg's thoughts.
