After a decent break, while celebrating the 10th release, Mojuba is back with a fresh and exciting new talent. We are speaking about Tokyo resident called Stereociti, a very gifted musician who devoted his heart to the music we love since 1994. His music is self-evidently high quality deep house with a touch of detroit's spirit! The first two tracks of Sterociti proving his sense for club rocking and touching emotional moments in music!

Biosphere is the main recording name of Geir Jenssen (born 30 May 1962),(1) a Norwegian musician who has released a notable catalogue of ambient electronic music. He is well known for his works on ambient techno and arctic themed pieces, his use of music loops, and peculiar samples from sci-fi sources. His 1997 album Substrata was voted by the users of the Hyperreal website in 2001 as the best all-time classic ambient album.

Patashnik was originally released by R&S Records/Apollo in 1994. It was number 1 in NME´s Independent Chart in March 1994 and reached number 50 in the UK official album chart.

The track Novelty Waves was used in Michel Gondry's Levi's 501 Jeans "Drugstore" spot, and holds - according to the Guinness World Records 2004, the record for "Most awards won by a TV commercial".

One reason why Jenssen's work stands out from the flood of early '90s ambient/techno releases is his strong sense of the quirkily creepy -- not in an Aphex Twin mode, but in his own particular way. The contrasting samples of a child quaveringly saying, "We had a dream last night," followed by a rougher sample saying, "We had the same dream," gives opening number "Phantasm" an unsettling feeling. Intensified by the, on the one hand, pretty, on the other, disturbing music, buried synth strings and a soft pulse accentuated by clattering noises deep in the mix, it kicks off the striking Patashnik very well. Though not as openly dark as acts like Lull, for instance, Biosphere still has an edge which isn't just melancholic, it's downright ominous at point. There's the slow crawl of "Startoucher," for instance, with its buried vocal snippets and deep bass drone, or the blend of the space signal atmospheres of "Mir" into the low, brooding intro to "The Shield." Not everything is so shadowy, though, Patashnik is primarily a relax and chill listening experience, but not without its gentle high points. "Novelty Waves," which became a crossover single in some quarters, has a good dancefloor sharpness to it even as Jenssen slyly sneaks in odd drones and samples through the mix. The opening snippet talking about an extraterrestrial disc jockey on "SETI Project" is good for a smile, as well as acting as a sharp lead-in to a fast rhythm track. Mostly, though, things continue on a deliciously unnerving pace throughout, gentle enough to go down easy but still just off enough to ensure you can't call this new age folderol for the rave generation.

Per Martinsen aka Mental Overdrive and Plugged", two elementary techno Classics from Norway. Per Martinsen was born in the Arctic town of Tromsø in Northern Norway in 1966, and spent his teens listening to imported records and tapes filled with electronic (and some non-electronic) music stemming mainly from the UK and Germany. He first entered the world of music-making by playing drums in local post-punk outfits, but moved on to electronic instruments when he bought his own Roland TR-808 drum machine in 1983. Setting out on a mission to connect to the sources of his inspiration, he ended up in London in 1987, where he spent his days squatting in Hackney and working as an assistant programmer in This Heat's seminal Cold Storage studio in Brixton. Hit by the wave of Chicago house and Detroit techno invading London at the time, he soon found himself experimenting with making beats inspired by these new sounds merged with the 80's sounds he was accustomed to from his pre-London era, like industrial music and EBM. A cassette tape with some of these beats was given to a close friend, who at the time was signed to Belgium's Crammed Discs, and this earned him an invitation to fly over for a series of studio sessions in Brussels courtesy of the label. The sessions led to several 12 singles being released by Crammed in 1988. Most notable of these was his collaboration with Minimal Compact's Samy Birnbach (aka DJ Morpheus), with the release of the single Hallucination Generation' under the moniker The Gruesome Twosome' in 1989. - Reissue of classic 'Trackman' EP buy Mark Archer of Altern 8 - remastered from the original 1995 tapes.

Mark Archer is a long standing British electronic music veteran, with several heavily influential aliases and collaborations under his belt, the best known of which being the seminal UK hardcore act Altern 8 alongside Chris Peat. The pair also recorded as Nexus 21 on the classic Network records label. The subtle and unique blend of Detroit Techno, Acid House and UK Hardcore that Nexus 21 became known for, can also be heard in Archer's solo outings as Trackman:

''In 1995 I was asked by my good friend Neil Macey, who was incidentally one of my greatest influences DJ-wise alongside Astrix & Space, if I could do a few tracks for the first release on his new label - Ideal Trax. I asked him what kind of music the label was putting out as I'd been pretty much deep into the hardcore thing, and then working on more housey tracks as Slo Moshun, so when he said he was after something with techno, Chicago house and Acid all mixed up, Trackman was born.''

The first Trackman EP went out on Ideal Trax in 1995, a six track, two vinyl EP spanning trippy, classic Acid cuts, Detroit and Chicago influences, Sheffield Bleep and Manchester Hacienda rave era overtones. 'Trackman' has now been lovingly remastered and re-issued on Infrastructure, with a bonus track 'Paradise' included, which featured later on the 1996 'Don't Stop' EP - also a classic in it's own right.
