WeMe has always had the ambition of producing ousiders alongside its established artists. Let's hear it for the debut EP from Rehab333, a discreet but no less creative artist and graduate of the Rephlex School Academy. After taking classes with teachers such as Richard d James and Dr. Chris Jeffs, analog machines hold no secrets for him, enabling him to develop wonderful melodies at a time when they are sorely lacking. First released on cassette on the Binary Bigit label, it seemed essential for WeMe to record these tracks on vinyl, in perfect harmony with the label's musical history.

Following the success of their first release, Leeds-based label On Rotation returns with a 4-track EP from Australian producer Solar Suite. Expanding on the contemporary style of his debut release on Echocentric Records, the Slingshot EP shows off his ability to inject groove and a sense of fun into a trippy, compelling framework.

Joining him on the remix is fellow Aussie and Step Ball Chain label head Roza Terenzi, twisting the title track into a dark and brooding peak time stomper.

“This EP was written throughout Melbourne's 2020 lockdown, what seems like an eternity ago...
In hindsight, it provided me with the perfect opportunity to grow and learn as a producer.

Finding the motivation and drive to write and finish these tracks was a definite challenge, but overall something I am very proud of and ecstatic to have the opportunity to be working with Adam, Marlon, Chris and Katie to bring this to life.”

DFR is back with their third release, featuring Brazilian DJ and producer, Villaça, making his debut on the label.

This release highlights his personal style, with each track on the EP meticulously crafted. Listeners are taken on a journey through deep basslines and entrancing melodies, seamlessly merging the darker aspects of house, techno and electro. B1 produced in collaboration with Uruguayan producer PHORO.

2024 Reissue

Carl Finlow is one of The UK's unsung electro heroes. On "Hashtag", he's remixed by another criminally underrated British electro and dance music wizard: Radioactive Man (a.k.a. Keith Tenniswood). This tight jam from 2013 finally got a wider audience last year thanks to Helena Hauff's memorable Denkmantel set. "Hashtag" combines Drexciya-referencing synth work with the perfect amount of acid flourish and a menacingly gliding bassline. Re-released due to high demand and mint copies selling for L160 on discogs. Pure bliss.

The EP opens with “Global Thunder”, a mind-bending techno synth-wave track that slowly crescendos into an epic, nostalgic journey of cinematic, futuristic distress. On the B-side is “Living Nightmare”, a moody fusion of eccentric analog sounds, swinging percussion, and acid techno sequences, followed by “Sunfall”, an ode to eternal night where sinister synths and gloomy pads lurk in the shadows, setting the stage for an enigmatic techno-wave excursion.

"Jay Duncan's Baroque Sunburst bow Catalyst Curve is deep, percussive and submerging.

Bitten Dream's dark, atmospheric syncopation hypnotises, whilst Via Tekh's electro recalls Objekt. On the flip, Shrine twists 8-bit granular textures into early Livity Sound and Carrier territory, before the ambient Catharsis lulls the EP to a close."

Teslasonic is the solo project of Gianluca Bertasi, who delivers a fine blend of Electro, Italo, Acid, Downtempo and atmospheric elements, featuring a mesmerising remix by the legendary DJ Overdose. Libero Pensiero translates directly to ''free thought''. That's exactly how you should approach this six-track EP. Each track stands on its own, yet together, they form a cohesive narrative of creative freedom. Teslasonic makes his second appearance on Tiger Weeds with Libero Pensiero EP, following his contribution on the label's first VA compilation.

The eight track journey begins with Timothy Smith of 90s American darkwave band Lestat along with Pat Berdysz and Mekena Berdysz under their View So Cruel guise, “Corpses” is the blackened offering. A blend of styles and voices coalesce in this bright and burnt work. Colombia’s Ravetop follows, rich textured rhythms support scaling synthlines and distant vocals. Acid squawk and looming menace are the ingredients of Ruksby’s romp before Dragée presents an insurmountable wall of string and reverb in “Chapter VI.” The flip brings old friends back into the fold as well as welcoming new names. Canada’s Red Mass conspires with Lieutenant Freebase with unsettling results while Croatia’s Honored Matres returns with the bent and buckled bars and beats of “Sisterhood.” Diana Berti delivers a powerful psychological soundtrack, “Neptune”, before 80s band Simbolo from Brazil closes proceedings with the absorbing analogue abstraction of “For A Better File.” Eight pieces from far and wide, eight tracks that transcend borders and genre tags.

Rounding off the vinyl series that accompanies Thema's label-defining Strength In Numbers compilation, Part 4 downsizes from 12' to 7' to present two distinctive jams that show some of the farthest reaches of the New York imprint's sound.
Laurine Frost may be best known as part of the nonconformist house and techno scene of Europe through releases on Perspectiv, Sharingtones and Nervmusic, but on this special creation for Thema he makes the perfect tribute to the city that gave rise to the label, with a little help from the racy diatribe of Amiri Baraka on 'Your House'.

By way of a truly special finale for the series, Minneapolis maverick DJ Slip graces the label with an all-too rare appearance, taking an altogether more primal approach on 'X7' that channels his years spent conjuring up next level techno for Missile, Music Man and more into a taut and punchy electro excursion infected with tricked out effects and seductive sci-fi noir atmospherics. It's the perfect example of the freaky fringes Thema has comfortably reached to over the course of the last forty releases.

This EP is the first instalment in a series of four compilation releases that aim to showcase fresh electronic talent in the UK Electro/Techno scene. Future Funked sees Phil and Matt combining styles to create an electro throw down with chunky analogue basslines. Six Number Test is slow 808 workout from Abstract Knights, the owners of London electronica label Colony productions. Vorticism; Quick, tight beats, Robiotic Rhythms and deep sub bass make up the basis of Vorticism.X Insert is Menacing filtered bass lines, crunchy electronic beats, beautiful reverberant melodies and soft classic style Toytronic pads.

Proper 90´s Acid Trance feel, limited hand stamped copies!

UFC presents Cybernetic Implant, its seventh release, an EP where electro and cyberpunk go hand in hand with hardware equipment for a trip to an unpromising future. The Ep consists of six tracks, three originals mixes produced by Ático Corp. and three remixes by producers Hd Substance, 7053M4R14 and Robot City.

In the three original tracks we find three different visions of electro where broken and sharp rhythms are mixed with bursts of synthesizers, atmospheres and samples that refer directly to less optimistic science fiction.


On the other side we have the three remixes where each artist contributes their particular vision by reimagining the tracks in their studios directly from their hardware gear. Synthesizers, drum machines and hardware effects are once again invited to the journey. Welcome this time not to a credible future, but to a dystopian future.

Clock DVA is one of the pivotal groups of industrial music. Founded more than forty years ago, the instrumental outfit has seen a contemporary partnership of electronic experimentation forged between Adi Newton and Maurizio Martinucci since 2010. It is their source material that proves fertile ground for two remixes, remixes by two heavyweights of electronic music. Atom™ delivers his re-imagining of “De-Konstructor.” A lone string is met by snapping snares as an alluring, yet cold, melody unfolds. Newton’s raspy throaty words rise, a stark prescient poetry countered by angular acid-twisted keys before samples buckle and loop. The second stalwart of electronics drafted in is Scanner for his reframing of “Rayonist Refraction #1.” A ghostly female voice haunts a backdrop of electrical fizz and voluminous cracks of shuddering thunder. Guitar strings tremble in this eerie landscape with a smattering of spoken text bringing solace to this hostile environment. Music for an all to immediate reality.

If you decide to look up the strict definition of outsider in any dictionary, you'll find that the term is understood as "a person who is not involved with a particular group of people or organization or who does not live in a particular place".

Perhaps this is the most accurate description of Santiago Merino. For a long decade and from his native Medellín, this DJ and producer has always tried to keep his sonic spectrum open. An interdisciplinary artist capable of freely navigating through a myriad of genres is rarely encountered, and that may be the reason why Santiago enjoys a non-negotiable respect in the different scenes that make up the music circuit of his city. On this occasion, Back Door Records is pleased to serve as host to receive one of the most anticipated facets within the range of music produced by this Colombian artist.

The Outsider marks the debut of a new project signed by Merino, a new hunch in which house takes the helm of an EP entitled 4 Club Use. Composed of five tracks, 4 Club Use seems to show us the true essence behind a genre that has almost been trivialized over the years. In this case, El Outsider decided to take the basic ingredients of tech house to produce a recipe much richer in flavors, textures and melodies. "Fire People", for example, leaves the window open for the airs of Detroit techno to come in and cool off any sunny afternoon. "Outsider" and "The Heat", on the other hand, are seasoned by the purest amen breaks, as if it were a blessing intended solely for the dance floor.

But the real deal across 4 Club Use is definitely El Outsider's own edit of Merino's track "Those Days". Raw and forceful kicks, meticulously sampled vocals and pads that seem to wrap them magically, make this bomb one of the candidate tracks to take the absolute podium of 2023.

Francois Dillinger coming directly for the metallic jugular here. Right hooking the all the AI bots , tearing down mainframes , and anything else his edge out sharp electro sound can rattle . Made to oil the pistons on the dancefloor ONLY .

It's almost a shame were putting online . But this heat seeking missile of a 4 tracker EP is just too good to not let all the fake profiles hear . So grab it quick , before we change our minds , and wipe the data base !
