When the first version of "Poing" was unleashed in 1992, nobody could predict what would happen with a track consisting of only a kick, a snare, a clap and an annoying little bouncing sound... the "either-you-love-it-or-you-hate-it" record became a record that virtually everybody loved, and immediately sky-rocketed through the national single charts to land on the #2 position of the Dutch Top 40, which stayed there for four weeks in a row. Soon after that, the rest of Europe followed with chart positions in the UK (# 27 Single Charts), Belgium (# 2), and many other countries.
